Unlike other Ocean Races, the Sea Demon People are not xenophobic.
It is said that they once lived on land, but after losing in fierce competition, they had to dive into the sea and eventually became some of the most effective subordinates under the Sea Emperor.
Over billions of years, the Sea Demon People have evolved completely different from their land-dwelling ancestors. They have retained the ability to breathe with lungs like humans, and possess special hidden side gills above their necks. Additionally, their moist skin helps facilitate breathing, allowing them to thrive underwater.
Because they have retained their lungs, they can also live on land, but will often feel very dry.
After several failed attempts to return to the land, they had to accept the way of life of constructing watertight cities underwater.
