"Shapuragan" is an ancient Persian doctrinal scripture, dedicated by Mani to the Persian King Shapur I.

The Persian Fotudan brought this scripture to Tang in the first year of Wu Zetian's reign (694).

The original version sent by Shanmu is in ancient Persian, while most of the secret techniques later practiced by the followers of the Ming Church were translated and completed by others after being Sinicized.

Duncan reached out to take the "Treatise on the Wisdom of the Origin of All Methods," also known as the "Great Gospel Book." Shanmu stood respectfully beside him, translating, her voluptuous and beautiful figure cast long by the candlelight. Unconsciously, she moved a little closer, half-kneeling, her posture docile and humble, as a whiff of something akin to musk gradually wafted over.

Shanmu was merely translating, yet Duncan felt a sense of déjà vu.
