"If you like it, eat more." Ms. Ren squinted her eyes. She watched Yu Xinyan grow up. Yu Xinyan used to visit her house quite often since both families lived in the same neighborhood, very close by.
"Okay!"
"Xu Lin, drive Yanyan home a bit later, okay?"
"Sure."
The three of them enjoyed a harmonious meal.
After eating, another half an hour passed.
As it approached past eight o'clock, Xu Lin suggested that he should take Yu Xinyan home.
"Auntie, see you next year!"
Yu Xinyan bid farewell to Ms. Ren.
"Yanyan, see you next year."
After saying goodbye, Xu Lin and Yu Xinyan went downstairs.
It took half an hour to drive.
Xu Lin dropped her off outside the neighborhood.
"Go on home."
"Honey, see you next year!"
"See you next year." Xu Lin nodded.
"But, on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, I'll video call you!"
She playfully kissed Xu Lin on the lips.
"Honey, I'm going back now!"
"Okay."
Xu Lin watched as she entered the neighborhood, and then drove off himself.
