There are a hundred login devices for the Virtual World in the laboratory.
That's enough for the fifty-two members of Xu Lin's team to log in.
However, these login devices are still quite large and are the prototype of the future login pods.
But when Xu Lin later wants to launch and promote the Virtual World, relying on such enormous and expensive login pods is not feasible.
Virtual glasses are the way forward.
These virtual glasses are similar in form to current VR glasses, but the difference is fundamental. The former allows consciousness to log in, while the latter requires visual input and, if the wearer is nearsighted, requires specially fitted lenses.
The two are literally creations from different eras.
To ensure the Virtual World launches smoothly on New Year's Eve, the laboratory has already begun perfecting the virtual glasses, which, once tested, will be put on sale through Xu Lin's Moon God Technology.
