It was early the next day, Bell still hadn't returned to his timeline for 48 hours yet, and yet he was now a powerful level 7. He and his familia were training in their courtyard, hidden away from the view of others. Hestia was given quite a few days off from Hephaestus as a result of all the sudden changes, and while she watched, she noticed there was an owl with heterochromatic eyes, watching as well.
I knew I wouldn't be able to hide it for long, but not being able to hide it for a few days… Fels is fast. Then, I guess Ouranos, and Hermes both know about all of this.
There was actually someone else who was coming by today, a few people actually… First who came by to visit was Miach, and his child Nazza, they were friends of Hestia, so they were welcomed guests, but Miach still knocked…
"Huh? There's no response?"
"Lord Miach, was the Hestia familia going on an expedition?"
"I don't remember hearing about it. But if they were, she would have asked Takemikazuchi to watch the house, I don't see why someone wouldn't answer the door."
"Should we head inside to see if everything is alright? There is a spot where we can leave the order, right?"
Miach sighed, and silently apologized to Hestia, but he put his hand on the door knob.
"Well, it's open so they must be home. Maybe they were too busy to answer the door? I'm sure Hestia won't mind if we bring the potions inside ourselves, and say hello. I'll ask her what's wrong in a moment."
Miach, and Nazza went inside the Hestia familia home. They noticed the entry way was completely empty, and… a little dirtier than usual. They did all of the proper things to do when entering a home, wiping shoes and all that, then they heard the faint sound of weapons clanging against each other. Following the sounds through the house, of course the interest of these sounds caused them both to forget about setting the potions down.
"Hestia, where are you? Is everything alright? Nazza and I brought the potions you ordered."
The sounds were getting a little louder, until the pair exited the door to the inner courtyard, where they saw it… Bell, and the rest of the Hestia familia fighting it out with Bell actually giving pointers.
Hestia was slumped over a railing exhausted, and mentally drained as she sipped on a cold drink from a straw. She had an odd feeling, and looked to the side, seeing Miach and Nazza.
"AHH!" The training match stopped on a dime, and everyone turned to see what was wrong. "Miach, what are you doing here!?"
"Well, today was the time we scheduled your order to be delivered. Sorry for coming in on our own, but the door was unlocked, and no one came to see us at the door. So I got worried and came in to see if everything was alright."
Hestia was beside herself when the explanation came up. And her twin tails started flying everywhere.
"UGH, how could I forget to lock the door! Miach, don't say a word of this to anyone!"
"Lord Miach, what's going on? Bell feels like he's changed a lot."
Bell sighed, relaxed, and put on his kind smile.
"That's because, I have changed." He jumped over to Lady Hestia, his speed was something else entirely. "Goddess, don't worry too much, I doubt he cares that much about who finds out about what happened."
"No! You don't know him… Fenrir tormented Tenkai for…" Hestia started counting on her fingers, then she gave up after exceeding 20… "Like a really long time okay! There's a reason that Bete from Loki familia was given a different spelling of it, Fenris. See, look, even Miach is terrified of that name!"
Miach had almost fainted upon hearing that name. He leaned up against the wall, and slid down till he was sat on the floor.
"Hestia, is that monstrous thing actually free?"
"In a different-"
"I see, so there's more to the story then. Fill me in on the details later…"
Haruhime being the dutiful maid she liked being, returned with a drink for their guests.
"Ah, thank you…" Miach said, still trembling at the thought of Fenrir… "That Beast of a wolf tore through gods like they were paper. The type of wounds I saw those days…"
"Let's try not to scare the children with events from Tenkai's past, Miach."
"Oh, yeah… Right, sorry. I just…" Miach let out a heavy sigh.
Bell let out a nervous chuckle, and lightly rubbed his cheek.
"Lord Miach, if it helps, the Fenrir I met, was kind, and he'd become- honest to goddess- a hero of Gekai."
"It would take no small effort to cause someone like that to change that much. What happened? Some enemy of Gekai killed his child or something like that?"
"Pretty much, they killed his unborn child, ending the pregnancy in a violent fashion. Fortunately his lover survived, but the god responsible for it… I'll never forget that scene."
Miach's eyes widened with interest in this story.
"A story where Fenrir was an ally? That sounds interesting, and I'd much like to hear it. Perhaps you can share it with me in full some time?"
Miach stood up again, with his own strength, and finished his drink. Looking at the far more confident Bell.
"Is something wrong Lord Miach?"
"No, it's just unheard of for a level 5 to be so strong, what level are you really?"
"Eh! Uhm, about that… I sorta, kinda, am not level 5 anymore."
"Miach, I'll explain things after I get some more answers from Zeus."
"Wait, this goes back to him?"
"Yes…"
At that time, a letter floated down into Hestia's hands, and the owl was no longer anywhere to be seen. Opening the letter she read it quickly.
"Huh? Ouranos wants to know about it as well? And he's willing to give answers to anything he can? Hmm, I might not have to play the whole grandpa card on Zeus after all."
"This might be for the best, Lady Hestia. I still haven't come to terms with him faking his death yet…"
"I know you haven't, so we'll try this first. Even though it is a bit bad to bring more people into the know…"
There was some more small talk between the gods, and then Miach left, taking Nazza with him.
"Lord Miach, Bell feels more like I was staring at Ottar…"
"That's because Bell is level 7. I don't know how he managed it yet, but I'll be joining Hestia in the little gathering over at the guild tomorrow. I might get some answers there."
