After the incredible showing by Shurry's wolves, and the performance of every team in their efforts to clear the floors, a very satisfied group went for a bath, very few still bothering to be prudish, opting for the freeing and relaxing feeling of being clean, and free. Though, some were still upset about this arrangement, and thus they were the ones using magic to clean and dry their clothes.
Bell was one of those who stopped caring about it for the most part, having learned ahead of time that, right here, right now, this was purely a bath to stay clean, despite the fact there were some amazoness groping each other not too far away from him. "I think we did well." He said, noticing Shurry.
"You think so?" Shurry said, crossing his arms, and raising his brow.
"Well, considering that you weren't there, and your wolves didn't have to help out more than three times. I think that's pretty good for the strengths everyone here has." Bell nodded, affirming his previous comment with a rational observation.
"That's good, you're growing." Shurry said with a smile, and pat Bell on the head. "We may be from different timelines, Bell, but remember this, you're my nephew, so I'll do what I can to get you strong enough to pull off what I did." He added.
"I've seen what you can do, and it's only made me certain that I'll need help. And lots of it. So, please, even though they've caused you terrible trouble in the past, please help them to get stronger too." Bell chuckled…
"Heh, still a bit nervous?" Shurry laughed. "Alright, I'll make sure to teach them everything I know."
Soon, the training took even harsher and grander scales. It had been a full week after reaching the 66th floor that everyone at or below level 3 achieved a full and complete level up. Quickly following behind after another week, it was the level 4s and 5s who leveled up. And then the week after, everyone else with the exception of Leon, and Ottar, leveled up, this was because they'd both been level 8 before the training had really gone into full swing.
Once a few more rounds of the most intense training they'd ever known, and a full month later, Leon reached level 9, with Ottar reaching it the very next day, followed by Bell.
The gods watching this insane progress were completely astounded, and had long since given up on attempting to understand it. Opting instead to bask in the moments of their children proving they're the best.
During down times, for the sake of resting, Shurry would often disappear with some other members from Hathor familia to help boost them up a bit more. Lena Tally, the young Amazoness who'd been a new level 3 upon coming down to these floors, was now well on her way to reaching level 6. However, while she was fantastic, she wasn't the only one doing so well. And further more than that, it seemed like the Hathor familia members were growing in ways other than status, earning freaky skills, just enough to help them level the playing field in the event Loki ever insisted on attacking them.
Conversations were kept to a minimum, topics were even more limited. Training was what everyone had on their minds, with the exception of the gods. Though Shurry was starting to feel apathetic seeing the results… Even so, he continued pressing their training.
Ouranos took advantage of this situation, and had the Xenos operate with little fear of the adventurers, casually giving them the task of keeping the Goliath from blocking traffic to and from the 18th floor. A service that began to change people's thoughts over time. Additionally, Asterius had been informed of the training going on, and had pushed his way down to floor 58 on his own, met up with a wolf promptly defeating him, and proceeded to deliver him to Shurry for training.
With the addition of Asterius to the training, there was a new wave of vigor pounding in the adventurer's hearts. The refusal to be defeated by any monster, sparked another reaction, further amplifying their growth speed.
Months went by, and despite the insanely long time the training expedition had been in the dungeon for, no one thought they were dead. The main reason was simple… Whenever Shurry fought, the surface could feel it. The other reason was thanks to the magic items Fels made, allowing him to confirm the information at a moment's notice, then the guild would post a public bulletin.
However, one day after a full year in the dungeon, the orb didn't respond to Fels calling them. "Huh? That's not right?" He said with a raspy gasp.
"What is it, Fels?" Ouranos asked with a steady tone, maintaining his calm control over a much larger portion of the dungeon than before, all thanks to the dungeon's utter terror of Shurry.
"They aren't responding, the connection is there, but…"
"Hmmm…" Ouranos hummed, scanning the dungeon he had control of. Feeling something move through it at high speed. "I think it's fine, they're on their way back now. That hero, Origin Wolf, will surface any second now. In fact he's already saved 30 adventurers from death, and delivered 15 Xenos to the others."
"That fast?"
"Yes, and some of those Xenos are strong. It seems he intends for a similar result as I."
At the dungeon's entrance, a warding sensation filled the surrounding area, then moments later, Shurry appeared with wolves, carrying all of the gods he'd brought down there with him. He cracked his neck, and stretched. "Well that wasn't too long, was it? Was it slow enough for you?"
Some of the gods involuntarily dismounted the wolves, stumbling to catch them. Most were dizzy, but Ganesha laughed. "I AM GANESHA! And I am fine! Thanks for the ride!" He bellowed out.
"And… I AM SHURRY! Good! You're welcome." Shurry laughed, as they both did a pose off until Ganesha admitted defeat. "Now we wait, this is their final test. Let them ascend without my help in any way. When they make it back, I'll be taking my own leave."
"You're leaving?"
"I only came to train this timeline to the point they have a chance of defeating that freakish monster. I have done that… Despite the fact it took so damn long. I really want to go home, and spend time with my family, in the world I fought so hard to achieve peace." Shurry sighed.
"Fair enough, you've earned it, Son." Hathor smiled, nodding proudly.
