“You… you are Aurora… my queen. My Luna… and … and my wife…” Pain was evident on Sebastian King’s face. 
He was the Alpha God. Yet, he was ready to kneel before me.
“Aurora… please come back and…”

I cut him off, my eyes blazing with anger, “Wife? Queen? Luna?” I started shaking my head and let out a sharp bitter laugh, “No, Alpha God. I am not Aurora Stone. Remember? She is dead. I'm Phoenix…” My voice was trembling now, “I am just a mere warrior of this palace…”

He reached out to touch my face and the agony in his eyes almost shattered me. But I had made up my mind.
I stepped back, turning my face away from his hand, “Don’t!” I hissed, “It’s too late now.”
Without waiting for his answer, I spun on my heels and left the room with a heavy heart. I needed to get out of here or I would have cried.

Aurora was the Beta’s daughter and was considered the most beautiful girl in the pack. But her world shattered when her fiancé abandoned her after she was ra**ped on the night of her engagement. She was branded impure in the eyes of her pack.

Her father couldn’t bear the disgrace and sold her to the Lycan king, Sebastian King. In the royal palace she was abused, humiliated and burned.

When a fire erupted in the palace, she seized her chance, letting the world to believe she got burned in the flames and died. She escaped and found refuge in another pack,  living under a new name and identity.

But damn.
Fate is cruel.
It brought her back, face-to-face, once more with the Lycan King. This time he didn’t ignore her and worshipped the ground she walked on.
But it was far too late.
She had moved on long ago… or so, she told herself.
But did her heart truly believe that?

Giana was walking to the pack store to get some cheese blocks when she heard his voice behind her.


"Uh. Why am I not surprised?" She thought, rolling her eyes, before she turned to face him.


"Lucien!" She tried to hide the smile tugging at her lips, "Don't you have anything better to do than sneak up on me?"


Lucien slowed his pace and gave her that teasing grin that wasn't a part of his personality, "Nope. I love sneaking up on you…" he held her hand and winked at her, but she freed it.


With a groan, she turned and headed to the store, "You're impossible, Lucien," she slapped on his chest while walking.


He had caught up with her and was now matching her steps, "I know," He pinched her cheek, "Admit it. You like it…"


She kept walking without looking his way, "Nah! I don't like it at all!" The redness on her face didn't match the words.
