The next day.
Without a clear purpose, Nora Scott stopped disturbing the neighbors with noise. Since she slept late the previous night, she slept until well into the morning sun before waking up.
As a result, after washing up and going downstairs, she spotted a "visitor" present.
It was Mr. Bay.
Henry Chapman was sitting in the courtyard enjoying the sun, reading scripts, as if nothing else concerned him. Pedro Langley was "entertaining" Mr. Bay in the living room, though merely by pouring a cup of tea, making no effort to ease Mr. Bay's stiffness and embarrassment.
Mr. Bay was evidently uncomfortable.
"Miss Scott!"
Hearing the sound of the stairs, Mr. Bay looked up and, seeing Nora Scott, immediately called out, visibly relieved.
Nora Scott squinted slightly, "Hm?"
With just a single sound, yet from her demeanor, every gesture, radiated authority.
Mr. Bay's eyelids twitched.
Vaguely, he understood Nora Scott's hint.
