Chapter 387 - [BONUS CHAPTER] Chapter 373 – The Fox Priestess Gets Played

The Gnosis wasn't just a weapon or a symbol of divinity it had countless other hidden functions as well.

For example, the production of Mora at the Golden House required the power of Zhongli's Gnosis to operate.

Or, when the desires of mortals within a Archon's domain reached their peak, the Gnosis would react.

If the Archon acknowledged that will, they could bestow a Vision upon the chosen mortal.

Usually, that range was limited to the Archon's own nation.

"So this is a Gnosis…"

C.C. whispered softly, and a surge of overwhelming energy burst forth the power of the Honkai intertwined with the logic of the Void.

Raising her slender wrist, she let countless radiant particles swirl above her palm, gradually shifting into a pure, holy teal the color of Anemo.

"Whoa, hey! what's going on here?"

Venti's eyes widened as he looked up at her, genuine surprise flickering across his face.

That was his element, not the one belonging to the wandering bard Venti, but the divine power of Barbatos, the Anemo Archon himself.

C.C. didn't answer.

The corners of her lips curved into a faint smile as the shimmering light in her palm gathered and solidified into something crystalline.

Even the calm and collected Zhongli's expression grew serious, and Venti could only stare in disbelief as an object of pure Anemo energy took form.

A fully realized Vision, gleaming with divine radiance.

Yae Miko, ever composed and graceful, froze completely.

Her fox ears twitched slightly as she gawked at the sight, a sense of absurdity creeping through her chest.

She wasn't imagining this, was she?

C.C. had just… created a Vision out of thin air using a Gnosis!

That was something only Archons were supposed to be capable of.

"Well, that's convenient~" C.C. said casually.

Before Miko could even process it, the Gnosis in C.C.'s hand shimmered again, changing its elemental color from wind to geo to electro, cycling through the powers of the Archons she had encountered so far.

"The system inside this thing is already fully loaded," C.C. said matter-of-factly. "All it takes is someone with the right permissions to trigger the interface and voilà, instant Vision generation."

She tossed the completed Vision, which had settled on the Anemo element toward Venti.

"Here, take it. Even if you're lazy, you shouldn't be using a glass marble to pass off as your Vision. Zhongli at least made himself a fake Geo one to keep up appearances."

"Impressive… you can really do that, huh?" Venti murmured, catching the Vision.

He raised an eyebrow and let out a small laugh before removing the plain glass sphere at his waist and replacing it with the genuine Vision.

"Thanks. I'll take it then~"

He said it with a grin, but inwardly, his expression turned… complicated.

Receiving an Anemo Vision from someone who wasn't even a Archon was a first.

How C.C. even possessed Barbatos's divine power was baffling.

He had spent centuries studying the intricacies of Vision creation, yet she figured it out in minutes just by touching the Gnosis.

"People from other worlds are terrifying…" Venti muttered under his breath.

Of course, what caught Yae Miko's attention was entirely different.

C.C.'s ability to forge Visions wasn't just shocking it was dangerous.

With a teasing smile, C.C. leaned forward, closing the distance between them until her golden eyes were level with Miko's.

She waved a hand in front of the stunned fox priestess and said playfully,

"Come on, Lady Miko Say it with me one, two, three… three, two, one… aah"

Every single time this sly fox teased her, C.C. made sure to pay her back even if it hadn't happened yet in this timeline.

Because yes, this eternally seventeen-year-old blonde girl was absolutely the type to hold grudges.

Miko shot her a sharp glare, unimpressed.

Sure, this woman's power was beyond comprehension, but her infuriating personality at least proved she wasn't a complete threat.

C.C.'s smile didn't falter in the slightest.

"So tell me, if I gave every single person in Inazuma their own Vision," she mused sweetly, "do you think Ei would cancel the Vision Hunt Decree?"

"Please don't do that!"

Miko instantly lunged forward, trying to snatch the Gnosis back, but C.C. easily sidestepped, leaving the flustered fox bowing her head in frantic apology.

'Safe, my tails!' she thought bitterly. 'There's nothing safe about this woman!'

This wasn't just chaos, this was Archon-tier chaos.

And the worst part was that C.C. definitely had the power to do it.

Even imagining an entire nation full of people with Visions was enough to make her fur stand on end.

"Haha~ Don't look so nervous. I'm just kidding," C.C. said with a wink.

Of course, Miko didn't find it funny at all.

Even though she realized a moment later that it wouldn't work after all, Visions were meaningless without the spark of willpower to ignite them.

C.C.'s idea had scared her half to death.

As Miko exhaled a shaky sigh of relief, C.C. tilted her head with a mischievous grin.

Resting her chin on one hand, the green-haired girl pretended to ponder deeply.

"Hmm… but if I released a wave of Apocalypse Virus across Inazuma," she said, her tone far too casual, "I could probably raise everyone's soul resonance enough to light up their Visions."

Miko froze mid-breath. Her smile stiffened.

She had no idea what an "Apocalypse Virus" was, but every instinct told her it was nothing good.

When she saw the amusement dancing in C.C.'s golden eyes, realization hit her that's she'd been played. Again.

Grinding her teeth, Miko forced a smile and looked away. That face... that smug, perfect, adorable face, she could almost punch.

She had to admit, though… when it came to being a menace, there was always a bigger fish.

Zhongli and Venti exchanged a silent look, both quietly relieved.

If C.C. had actually made every citizen of Inazuma awaken a Vision, the resulting chaos would have shaken not just the Seven Nations but even Celestia itself.

After all, Visions were meant to be a gift of willpower, not a mass-produced trinket.

"Alright, alright~ Don't look so tense," C.C. said finally, waving a hand dismissively. "I was really joking that time."

Nobody believed her.

In fact, when it came to causing trouble, this green-haired witch was every bit as bad as the real C.C. from her own world.

"Anyway, it's getting late. Let's call it a day. Tomorrow, we'll head to Komore Teahouse."

With a light flick of her wrist, she tossed the Gnosis over her shoulder.

A swirl of red and black energy opened before Lumine, catching it perfectly in midair.

"By the way, Lady Miko," C.C. said cheerfully, "wanna come hang out at my place? It's pretty big and I've got more light novels and sweets than you could ever finish!"
