Chapter 33– The Girlfriend's Family

At that moment, in the Cullen house, the afternoon light filtered through the massive glass walls, casting sparkling patterns across the modern, open living room. Alice sat on her bed, phone in hand, replying to Dante's message with quick fingers:

"Okay, just don't be too late."

She then smiled brightly, a genuine sparkle in her eyes, as she went to choose the outfit to wear—something red, elegant, perfect for the occasion.

At that moment, Rosalie entered her room gracefully and sat on the edge of the bed while looking at Alice and saying:

"Well, who would have thought your mate was in our school. You hid that from everyone."

Alice, hearing Rosalie say that, thought back to the day she had a vision about Dante. She saw a child using his power while having fun teleporting to various places around the world—beaches, mountains, cities flashing by in bursts of dark portals. And when she saw him for the first time at school, her heart raced; she got excited and wanted to approach, jump into his arms, and give him a hug. But it was when she almost did that that she had another vision: the moment she got close to him, the rest of the family did the same. Then something happened that made her tremble just remembering that future. Edward read his mind and was shocked. But before everyone could ask, Dante looked at Edward and the others and, with a terrifying look, said:

"You trash vampire, try not to enter the mind of someone you shouldn't in your next life."

He then opened a portal to the sun and sent Edward and the others inside the sun.

Alice trembled thinking about that vision, a chill running down her spine despite the warm room.

Rosalie called Alice, who had gone silent, and asked:

"What's wrong? Some problem?"

Alice recovered quickly, smiled, and said:

"It's nothing. I just thought it was better to let him come to me himself, because in my vision I saw that was the right way."

Rosalie nodded thoughtfully.

"So that's why. Even if you saw that was the right way to approach your mate, then it's the right way. After all, it was thanks to your gift that it helped us many times."

Alice replied, eyes lighting up again:

"Yes. I'm super happy now that we're finally going on a date after waiting so long for my mate."

Rosalie then said seriously, leaning forward slightly:

"Alice, I have a question that's everyone's doubt in the family. Can I ask you?"

Alice smiled warmly and replied:

"Well, if I can help, I don't mind."

Rosalie said:

"I just want to know: Dante isn't human, right? His scent has nothing like a human's, right? And Edward can't read his mind either, just like his sister's. But we smell human on his sister, but we don't smell that on him."

Alice replied carefully:

"All I can say is that he's not human. I saw that in my vision. But the rest he should want to tell you himself. I'm his mate. I can't betray his trust and tell something as important as that."

Rosalie smiled understandingly and said:

"Well, we understand. No one here is going to ask you to betray your mate's trust."

Alice smiled at Rosalie and thought: After all, even in all the visions where he got scary with Edward, he never hurt me at all in any of them. That shows how much he cares about our mate bond. So I'm not the one who's going to break that trust by telling his secret.

Rosalie looked at Alice smiling all happy, sighed softly, and thought: Well, it looks like we're going to have to wait for him to tell us to find out.

They then heard the sound of a motorcycle in the distance, the low rumble growing louder, vibrating through the glass walls.

Alice's eyes widened; she looked, bolted from the room, and ran downstairs.

Rosalie watched her sister excited like that, sighed with a fond smile, and went after her.

At that moment, Dante finally stopped at Alice's house door.

The massive glass structure gleamed in the sunlight, reflecting the trees and sky. He killed the engine, the Harley's growl fading to silence. He looked, rang the doorbell—even though he already knew everyone there had heard him from several meters away—but it was still fun to participate in these acts: you pretend to be normal people, I pretend to believe you.

The door was then opened smoothly.

Dante looked at Esme Cullen, smiled politely, and said:

"Good afternoon. I'm Dante. I came to pick up Alice."

Esme smiled warmly, her eyes kind.

"So you're the boy my daughter talks about so much. Come in."

Dante then entered the bright, open space, took the bouquet of white roses, and handed it to her gracefully:

"Well, accept this welcome gift from me. I wanted to bring wine, but unfortunately the salesman said a teenager would be able to resist wouldn't alcohol he bought."

Esme smiled and said:

"Well, they're beautiful. And thank you for the gift."

At that moment, Carlisle Cullen appeared, calm and composed, and said:

"Good afternoon. So you're the boy our daughter told us so much about."

Dante shook his hand firmly, smiled, and said:

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet Alice's father and mother."

At that moment, Alice appeared at the top of the stairs, radiant in her red dress, and rushed down to hug Dante while saying:

"You arrived right on time. I'm ready to go."

Dante then looked at her, eyes widening appreciatively, and said:

"You look beautiful. Here, this is for you."

He then gave her a bouquet of red roses and said:

"Looks like I got the roses right. They match your beautiful red dress."

Alice smiled hearing that, cheeks flushing slightly.

Carlisle and Esme smiled seeing that, exchanging a knowing glance.

Rosalie then appeared, took the roses from Alice gently, and said:

"Well, leave it to me to take care of this while you're on the date."

Alice smiled and said:

"Well, thank you, Rosalie."

She then pulled Dante's hand excitedly and said:

"Well, let's go. I'm excited to know where you're taking me."

Dante looked at everyone in the living room and said:

"Well, it was a pleasure meeting you. I hope to come here more times so we can talk better."

He was then pulled by Alice, her grip tight and eager.

Outside, cloudy sky, Dante said while handing her the helmet and sitting on the bike:

"This is my first real date. So if I'm not very good, give me a break."

Alice sat on the bike behind him and held his waist while saying smiling:

"Yes, you can count on it."

Alice thought while hugging him tight, arms wrapped securely around his muscular torso: So he never had a date with those sluts. I'm going to be the first.

She smiled while hugging him even tighter, pressing closer.

Dante looked back at her and said:

"Well, since you're already holding on tight, let's go."

He then rode off on the bike toward the destination, the engine roaring powerfully as they sped away.
