Axton and Ren were in their tent, laying out equipment. Axton watched Ren's methodical movements, pride evident in his eyes.
"So, the plan stands: Kael and Dorian use the jammed signal window to hit the data centre, while Rhys's team and Vance's people secure the perimeter," Ren confirmed, strapping a weapon holster to his thigh.
"That's right," Axton replied, securing his own harness. "We wait until the signal is secure. Then, we go on foot. No vehicle can manage that terrain, and we don't want to draw more attention than necessary."
Ren nodded, running a hand through his hair. "It still feels like bait. Like we're giving General Conan exactly what he wants—a target we can't ignore, leading us into an area where he has the advantage."
