Chapter 102 - 102: Why Is It Always The Fallen Angels?

Two girls entered the room and removed their hoods, revealing their faces. On the left stood a young woman with violet eyes and long chestnut hair that she tied into twintails, each held with a blue scrunchy.

Her features were exquisite, and her figure well developed, though not as exaggerated as Akeno's or Rias's.

Next to her was another beauty with chin-length blue hair and a dyed green fringe on the right side. Her brown eyes gave her a somewhat tomboyish and wild appearance, though she also looked a little cute. Her figure was fuller than her friend's, with large breasts and a round, well-shaped butt.

"Hello! I'm Shidou Irina, and this is my partner, Xenovia Quarta. Nice to meet you, Devil-san-tachi!" The chestnut-haired girl, Irina, tilted her head in a playful manner and waved cheerfully at everyone present.

"Irina, don't speak to these Devils so casually," said Xenovia, the blue-haired girl, her face expressionless as she stared at everyone with blank eyes.

"You can't say that. We're here to ask for their help, so we need to maintain a good attitude," Irina replied to her partner, her smile unwavering. The two spoke carefreely, showing no sign of taking the Devils before them seriously.

"People from the Church," Rias said, sitting in her chair as she leaned over her desk, resting her elbows on it with her fingers intertwined. She stared at the duo with her azure eyes. "Why did you want to meet me?"

A day earlier, Irina and Xenovia had contacted Sona to request a meeting with the owner of this territory, Rias Gremory.

Despite already being busy with other important matters, Rias agreed to meet the two in order to avoid adding any complications to her plans.

Everyone present stared at the duo with serious expressions. For the first time in a long while, Akeno was only using half her brain to think of Yusuke. Koneko set down her PSP and cookies, focusing on them with an equally serious gaze. The one with the most intense expression, however, was Kiba, who glared at them with unmistakable grudging hostility.

They all sensed something emanating from the two, or rather, not directly from them but from what they carried. It was a dangerous aura, one that their instincts as Devils told them was a serious threat.

"Please take a seat, guests," Akeno said, the calmest among them. She smiled and gestured for the two to sit.

Taking a seat across from Rias, Irina spoke first. "Recently, the Holy Swords Excalibur, kept by the Catholic Church headquarters in the Vatican, the Protestant Church, and the Eastern Orthodox Church, were stolen."

The Excalibur is a Holy Weapon that was created through means of Magic and Alchemy by those who reached the territory of God.

During the war between the three factions, the original Excalibur had been broken, and its pieces were reforged into seven different swords, each carrying the name "Excalibur." Two of these blades were kept by each of the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church, and the Eastern Orthodox Church, intended for Exorcists with a natural affinity for Holy Swords to use against Devils or other supernatural creatures.

The seven swords are Excalibur Destruction, Excalibur Mimic, Excalibur Rapidly, Excalibur Nightmare, Excalibur Transparency, Excalibur Blessing, and Excalibur Ruler.

Unfortunately, the strongest fragment, Excalibur Ruler, had been missing for a long time.

Right now, Irina wielded Excalibur Mimic, and Xenovia held Excalibur Destruction. The dangerous aura radiating from the swords allowed Rias and her peerage to sense the lethal holy power emanating from them.

"The Catholic Church had two Excaliburs, including mine. The Protestant Church also had two, and the Eastern Orthodox Church had two as well. The last one went missing during the previous war between God, the Devils, and the Fallen Angels. One Excalibur was stolen from each Church. The ones who stole them escaped to Japan and brought them to this town."

This time, Xenovia spoke, her gaze turning cold as she met Kiba's glare while explaining.

'Why the fuck at this moment of all times?' Rias held her forehead, muttering begrudgingly. She took a deep breath before saying, "Looks like my territory is full of incidents. So who are the ones that stole the Excaliburs?"

"The ones who stole them were the Grigori," Xenovia answered.

"The Holy Swords were taken by the Fallen Angels?!" Rias's eyes widened as she exclaimed, 'Fallen Angels again?! Why the fuck are these annoying creatures always the source of my problems?!!!!'

Ever since Yusuke took Raynare and Kalawarna as his women, Rias had started hating Fallen Angels with passion. Why were these stupid, disgusting creatures always trying to get in her way? She had carefully prepared plans for her eternal happiness, yet these motherfuckers always tried to find a way to screw her over!

There is also Akeno, the traitor who backstabbed her and stole Yusuke, too. Thinking of Akeno, Rias's gaze sharpened, her eyes burning with a quiet fury. She had once treated Akeno as her closest friend, closer even than a blood sister. But as the saying goes, when love comes in through the door, friendship is shoved out the window.

"We know the main culprit who stole the Excaliburs. He is one of the leaders of Grigori, Kokabiel." Xenovia said calmly.

'Kokabiel? Is this his scheme?' Akeno's fingers twitched at the mention of his name. She, Sona, Raynare, and the other women knew that Kokabiel was likely planning something in this town, since Raynare had told them it was he who sent them here. There was also that guy Azazel, but he had cut off all connections with Kalawarna.

They had discussed countless times the countermeasures they would take if these threats ever appeared. To think that Kokabiel would actually steal the holy swords and come to Kuoh of all places. What could his motive be?

"We sent priests, exorcists, to this town secretly, but they kept getting killed," Xenovia added.

Rias and Akeno's faces twitched. So many accidents had happened, and they had been completely unaware. What would happen if some of these crazy bastards suddenly attacked Yusuke?

It seemed they had neglected their duties recently because they had been obsessed with Yusuke and had allowed so many annoying pests into their territory.

"Our request… no. Our order is that no devils are to intrude in the battle between us and the fallen angels for the Excaliburs. In other words, we came here to tell you not to interfere with this incident." Xenovia stood and spoke calmly, her eyes fixed on Rias with a look of unmistakable disdain.

Rias's eyes darkened at the way Xenovia spoke. Her already terrible mood worsened. Did this slut just try to order her around? An intense crimson aura radiated from her, causing her hair to sway with the force of her anger. Considering how furious she already was and her impulsive nature, it was almost a miracle she hadn't already erased these two from the face of the earth.

"Ara, ara~!" Akeno suddenly spoke, a soft laugh escaping as she placed her hand over her mouth. "Such a manner of speech. Are you really thinking we might collaborate with those fallen angels? That we might team up with them to do something with the Excalibur?"

"The headquarters thinks it might not be impossible." Xenovia gave a faint nod, her eyes never leaving Rias, who was still radiating an intense aura, ready to strike if Rias suddenly launched an attack. "The Church doesn't trust devils. We were told that if the holy swords were lost, devils would be very pleased, and the fallen angels would also profit. Given these points, it is not implausible for the two factions to work together."

'This is not the time to be impulsive. Rias, calm down. You can't ruin your plans because of two ignorant pests.' Rias took a deep breath, slowly calming herself. Casting a glance at Akeno, she turned to Xenovia and said, "We will not form an alliance with the fallen angels. Never. In the name of the Gremory House, I will not do anything that would tarnish the name of my house or my brother."

Hearing Rias's declaration, Xenovia suddenly laughed. "Hearing that is good enough. I had to warn you, just in case Kokabiel is hiding in this town along with the three Excaliburs. If something were to happen, I would be the one hated by everyone at the Church headquarters. Well, we won't ask for cooperation. If you were to form a temporary alliance with God's side, it would upset the balance of the three factions. Especially if it involves the little sister of a Maou."

"Then we will take our leave now. Let's go, Irina," Xenovia said as she turned toward the door. As a servant and believer of God, it was already uncomfortable enough for her to remain in the same place with such disgusting devils for so long.

"See you later, everyone." Irina stood and waved her hand with a bright smile, following Xenovia.

Akeno turned her gaze away from them, no longer bothering with the two foolish women. They wanted to face Kokabiel, one of the leaders of the fallen angels, on their own, which was nothing short of suicide.

The main problem now was how to deal with him after he finished off these two women.

'I need to talk to Sona. Rias is too stupid and impulsive; she won't listen to me,' she thought, casting a glance at Rias. 'Yusuke-kun is strong, but I don't want him to take any risks.'

'I'd rather die than see him hurt.'

"Stop!" Just then, Kiba suddenly shouted, stopping the two.

"Oh? Do you need something?" Xenovia turned to face Kiba with a frown. Earlier, she had sensed that out of all the devils here, he carried the most intense hostility of anyone.

"Yes. I can't stand that stupid, arrogant attitude of yours. Why don't we settle this between you and me?" Countless swords suddenly appeared around Kiba as he glared at Xenovia and Irina with pure hatred.

"Kiba!" Rias called out.

"Buchou, please allow me this," Kiba said without turning to face her, his voice trembling. "The thing I've sought to destroy the most is right before me. I can't hold it back anymore. Please, allow me to do it!"

"..." Rias wanted to say something, but in the end, she gave up. She was the one who had reincarnated Kiba when he was young, and she knew all too well the depth of his hatred for the Holy Swords.

"Since you want to fight so badly, I shall entertain you," Xenovia smirked, her eyes fixed on Kiba with a haughty glare.

"Hee, Xenovia is very strong, you know. Do you want to fight the two of us at the same time?" Irina tilted her head, speaking in a cute, teasing voice.

"I'll help you, Kiba-senpai," Koneko said as she stood up.

"It might be interesting to test the strength of Rias Gremory's servants." Xenovia accepted their challenge.

...

Standing in a wide space, Kiba and Koneko faced Irina and Xenovia, the area around them enveloped in a barrier of red aura. Akeno and Rias watched from outside the barrier.

"Then let's start."

Irina and Xenovia removed their white robes, revealing black battle outfits. They did not expose their skin, yet the form-fitting attire accentuated their figures, highlighting their curves and tight hips.

Xenovia drew the cloth from her weapon, revealing her Excalibur, while Irina's Excalibur had been transformed into the shape of a katana.
