Glenda watches as the wards, begin to slowly flicker, including the brightness of the wards somewhat dimmed a bit, showing that it's slowly weakening, as their bombardment of spells finally bore fruit.
Almost there.
She thought.
"Six minutes, before we're able to make a breach. " the tall magician reported to Glenda.
Perfect.
She raised her hand, and give out a signal.
Signalling everyone to prepare to breach the house, with everyone at their position based on the plan.
The plan that had been made was that the group will be split into two with one half will be attacking from the front with them being the main force, and where Glenda will be the one leading, while another will breached from the back.
With the plan was basically a pincer type attack, surrounding the target on all side.
Using their numbers to overwhelm Vivienne Son and His family, and after eliminating them, they then will secure the longinus wielder, kill the family members, and then leave, before Vivienne arrive.
It was simple.
Glenda Thought, with her then smiling.
Since everything is going exactly as planned.
And happily enough no one is fighting them, so it means Vivienne son who was a magician really must be a talentless one especially with the personality of a skirt chaser, He also probably is cheating on His wife.
Glenda soon focus back on the destruction of the wards.

(Giulia's POV)
I moved immediately close to the second floor window, one with the best vantage point overlooking the front yard and street, without compromising my position.
Charlotte followed me as well, Her gun held properly, finger off the trigger until ready.
She's really trained in using a gun, considering even some people who trained to use guns sometimes has their fingers on the trigger, where it would create a safety problem.
I had told the kids to temporarily stay at the living room for now, and if necessary hide in the basement. For anything that is entering from the backyard is unlikely, due to the protection it has was far better than the front. Additionally the backyard consists of three different wards first for the wall, the backyard itself, and then the ward defending the house.
Which for now, She and Charlotte will focus on defending and eliminating the threats that are front of the house as fast as possible .
Giulia then pressed herself against the wall beside the window, carefully peering through the gap in the shutters.
With her using the gun's scope.
She raised the gun, looking through the sight. The scope that is attached to the M16 was actually enchanted, having been modified with magic.
Edward's work.
Particularly one of his custom modifications, he had thought off in his downtime.
And decided to make it at the basement aka his magic workshop, that contains different equipment and books.
She scanned the perimeter, watching the movements robe figures ,and thanks to the scope she's able to see several of the figures with a few actually being invisible.
They're really are spread out, and tactically positioned. Giulia thought watching them through her scope.
Signaling to her that they were professional.
this wasn't a random attempt but an organized one, someone clearly must have planned for this for awhile.
She then counted the numbers of enemies visible in her view.
One.
Two.
Three visible from this angle.
Four.
Five.
...
At least eight. Maybe more.
But from her view she can't see it, with some more in the back, probably.
Too many for two people with guns to face, even with Edward's modifications to the gun, but thankfully Edward did make another thing.
She pulled back slightly, checking the attached magazine on the gun.
The magazine she had loaded was a standard one.
But Edward had prepared something else.
She reached into her pocket and grabbing the ammunition she grabbed when she'd opened the compartment earlier, and pulled out a different magazine.
The one she was holding was a special one, this one had visible runes engraved along the casing.
One of Edward's pride and joy.
Which them being runic ammunition.
More specifically magical bullets, with this one being magical explosive rounds.
Where it will create a detonation when it make contact with anything when fired.
He'd been so pleased with himself when he'd finished these.

Flashback - A few years ago

It was four years ago, when Michael was three years old.
Giulia was currently cooking in the kitchen, making lunch.
Michael was asleep in his room.
When suddenly Edward burst through the basement, with him covered in dust,soot, and him holding a bullet, with the smell of something burning covered him but his face was excited.
"Giulia, look! Iook! It work my theory of putting runes on bullets was successful, which this one has runes that can detonate when it makes contact."
"Edward, you basically made exploding bullets."
"MAGICAL exploding bullets! But overall my thesis on the limitations of enchantment magic in some way is based on the size of the rune was right." With Edward then laughing like a madman.
" Still it's just exploding bullets." She replied.
"...Yes. But COOL exploding bullets." He argued back.
She'd rolled her eyes at the time.
With her sighing about her husband antics.

But now... she was grateful, with her looking at the magazine before she ejected the standard magazine.

And loaded the runic magazine to the the M16.

Giulia then chambered a round.

She makes sure to put the gun setting to semi automatic for now, due to the limited amount for the magical ammunition .
Charlotte who was watching Giulia, had her eyes wide, seeing the weird looking engraving on the magazine Giulia was holding.
"What is that?" Charlotte asked pointing at it.
"Magic exploding bullets. " Giulia said simply.
" Um.....What ?" Charlotte was utterly confused on what she just heard.
"Edward's work. They're explosive magical bullets that has runes that detonate on impact." She turned back to the window. "Watch through the other window, which if you're able to shoot them then, shoot."
"Um...Understood." Charlotte replied, somewhat baffled, but in the end decided to just Ignore it,and asked Giulia later, after they're safe.
Giulia raised the gun again.
And watched through her scope.
Trying to get a target.
There.
She noticed, one of the robed figures standing near the street, with His hands raised, maintaining what looked like seem to be part of the suppression field that's preventing her from communicating with Edward and Vivienne, while also being one of the magician that is currently attacking the wards.
The magician looks distracted.
with Him being too focused on concentrating on some spells that's currently targeting the house.
Perfect target.
Giulia then exhaled slowly.
Slowing down her breath, and slowly takes her aim.
Targeting the Wizard's center of mass.
Which with Edward's exploding bullets, it's a guarantee kill, since if it's a hit, the bullet kinetic energy and the shot will cause him to bleed, with the runes in the bullets somewhat guarantee a kill, even if she was unable to hit the target perfectly.
Steady...
Steady...
Giulia focuses on the target making sure that the first shot will miss. Since once they fire, the magicians will be alerted.
Giulia took a final deep breath, and look at the target one last time before she then squeezed the trigger, and fired two shots.
SNAP-SNAP!!
And the sound of something breaking the sound barrier isheard,with it two bullet was sent flying towards a target.

Outside - Magician's POV

The magician, one of the Low-High-Class attackers, a young man by the name of Henri was currently standing with his hands raised, channeling energy into the suppression field while casting some spells to bombard the ward surrounding the house.
It has been somewhat a boring operation for Him.
Since all He was doing was :
1) Hold the suppression field.
2) Bombard the house with spells, until they're able to collapse the ward or the other magicians is able to make a read about the ward's structure and make a counterspells for it.
And what he was doing was standard support role, very easy for him.
But he is bored, considering the enemies aren't responding,but they're sure the family are in there, since the beautiful brunette that He saw was putting the family's trash away.
Man is there anything else I can do to not get myself bored, I'm getting pretty tired just waiting, He thought.
when suddenly–
SNAP-SNAP!!
And with that sound, suddenly something hit him. He felt his center chest and his left arm was pierced by something.
WHAT–
Henri didn't even have time to process before the rune that is engraved to the bullets activated.
BOOM!!
The magical detonation erupted from the point of impact, the explosion ripped Henri's body apart and scattering his body parts.
And in an instant He was dead.

Outside - Glenda's POV

SNAP-SNAP!!
Glenda spun toward the sound of what she just heard, and suddenly one of her magician was then struck by something and then
BOOM!!
As his body parts was scattered.
With that one of her magician was down.
What–!!?
Her face looks surprised for the first time since her attempt to kidnapped lavi that was foiled.
Meanwhile the other magicians was in shocked.
"What the FUCK!!" Someone shouted.
"Henri!!" another yelled, calling their now dead friend's name.
CRACK-CRACK!!
Two more shot ring out.
With the sound of the bullets zipping pass,
thankfully the bullets missed the magician, but the moment it impacted the concrete sidewalk,the magical explosive detonated.
BOOM!!
The blast sent shards of metal,concrete,and rocks flying, striking several magicians,who didn't expect it. But the shrapnel was unable to kill one of them.
But the shots pretty much still was helpful paralyzing them, including even Glenda.
Who paused due to the shocked, before snapping out from the shocked.
She turned back towards the house,and immediately made an order.
"EVASIVE POSITIONS!" she shouted. "Set up barrier and Don't stay static! Move!" With herself begin to set up barriers for her protection.
The other magicians immediately scattered,
With them no longer standing still, and begin moving unpredictably, trying to make themselves harder targets to be hit.
But the damage was still done.
One of their own is dead, and several of them are injured,due to the shrapnel.
As well making them realize the people inside were fighting back, and actually harder than expected. The fact they have guns, shook them a lot.
Glenda looked at the house,
The wards of the house slowly dims, they're are almost exhausted.
A few more minute... I need just a few more, and she'll win, so we havecontinue, no matter the cost.
"FOCUS FIRE!" she commanded. "BRING DOWN THOSE WARDS! NOW!"

(Giulia's POV)
It was a direct hit.
Giulia saw her bullets landed perfectly on the target with the target blowing up and his limbs went flying.
One down.
Giulia felt a grim satisfaction, witnessing that.
Since while yes they were able to eliminate someone, this is her first time killing someone, but now's not the time to grim in what she did.
She needs to protect the kids.
Not to mention it was not enough since there were still many.
She tracked another target, and fired.
CRACK-CRACK!!
But Her bullet this time sadly misses,but the explosion was able to injure a few magicians by the shrapnel or the destructive force of the explosion.
Damn it a miss. She thought.
The magicians are now moving around and scattering, and setting up barriers.
They're moving now, making it harder for Her to shoot.
She fired again, at a different target but missed again.
CRACK-CRACK!!
another miss, she thought with her preparing to shoot again.
Charlotte who was watching her firing her gun, open her mouth
" Giulia How many enemies are there?" Charlotte asked, who wants to confirm on how many targets are there.
"Too many," Giulia said. "At least twelve more."
"Can we hold against that amount?" Charlotte asked, not really optimistic on them able to fight against twelve.

Giulia didn't answer.
Since if she were to give her an honest answer.
The answer is.....No, no they can't, not against that many.
Not without Edward, Edgar, Gerald, or Vivienne.
We can't for sure win, at most only slowing them down at most, but while the can't fight them all we can make them pay for every second they're targeting us.
She fired again.

BOOM!!
This time is a hit.
A magician was hit in the torso and the bullets exploded, scattering his remain.
With a few body part like his limbs hitting one of his fellow magician in the face with some gut parts accidentally went inside one of their mouth.
Two down, Giulia thought.

But there were still too many for them.
Suddenly the sound of something, horrified Her.

The sound of cracking, one that is like the sound of glass cracking.
The cracking sound are from the one thing protecting them.

The wards.
The one thing protecting them.
But now it seem's the wards won't hold the attackers, much longer, the fact it's cracking, mean the magicians plan are working, with them almost through.
Giulia looked at Charlotte.
"Charlotte, when they breach," she said quietly, "we make sure the kids fall back to the basement. Protect the children. Understand?"
Charlotte nodded.
Her face paled, and scared.
But steady.
"Understood."
Giulia and Charlotte turned back towards the window, they immediately positioned themselves with their gun somewhat outside the window.
Charlotte took her aim, and found a target, and aimed for they're center of mass, and pressed the trigger three times.
And with that the sound of a tight triplet of shots tore from the muzzle of the M16.
Clack-clack-clack!
The three bullets went flying, as it successfully struck a target,hitting their target's chest,and detonating upon impact.
BOOM!!!
Giulia meanwhile raised her gun.
With her then taking aimed at a different target.
I have to make this count.
CRACK-CRACK!
And two bullets was sent flying, and her two bullets landed a target as well.
But seeing the situation, and the predicament they're in,with the likelihood of the Wards collapsing at any moment.
Giulia looked at her gun and decided to go all out.
I think I should change it setting to auto, and thankfully the gun has one, due to Edward connection, Giulia secretly thought.
She soon click the switch of Her assault rifle to rapid fire mode.

Meanwhile with Lavi, Michael, and Jeanne
A few minutes after Giulia and Charlotte went to the second floor.

As Mom and Jeanne Mom left.
For the first time in my current life, I felt absolute terror, for my life.
With the fact, I don't know what to do.
Like I don't understand, why the fact were being attacked in the first place, and mom just now leaving with Jeanne mom to protect us, with them going to face the attackers.
Suddenly someone grabbed my arm, it was Jeanne." Mikey..." I looked at Jeanne, who's face this time was filled with worry, Jeanne was shaken, and nervous, with her then asking me.
" Yeah...Jeanne..?" My voice was filled with worriedness, which I feel nauseous now, not to mention wanting to puke.
But I was able to hold it.
"Can we help our moms." Jeanne asked me, while continues to grabbed my right arm.
Her eyes was telling me she doesn't want our parents die, so we must help them.
But sadly, Mom And her mom probably will reject us if we try to joined them, since obviously what kind of parents would agree in having their kids in danger.
"I....I...I don't know Jeanne." I don't have an answer, since even with my memories of a past life, I've never gotten into a situation that is this,or the idea of me dying by being murdered, never had come upon to me and to even my family, especially my parents.
Lavi also seem doesn't know what to do.

The sound was seemingly from the backyard. But that was impossible since as you know,the backyard has several silence spells that was placed by Dad, after the multiple explosions, I had when I was training to use plant magic.
I then turned around towards the backyard, through the kitchen window.
And with absolute horror I saw, a bright light and smoke come pouring out from the backyard, and the wall of the backyard has a giant hole.
But thing's get worse, several people begin entering the backyard, through the wall.
Oh God.
Oh fuck no.
I immmediately turn to Lavi, and Jeanne.
With them also seeing what just happened.
"MIK—!!mmphh.."
Jeanne was about to shout.
But I stopped her, shutting her mouth with my hand.
I then whisper to her.
" Jeanne don't shout, if you do it'll alert them." Jeanne hearing that nodded.
Since if the backyard has been breach,it means the silence spells has been destroyed and they can probably hear us.
But thankfully the windows and glass door are one way window, so they were unable to see us.
I turned to Lavi.
"Lavi can you summon Demise, which we seem have to stopped them from reaching the house."
Since Mom is likely busy handling the enemies that is on the front. Though I couldn't hear anything from the second floor, since a while back after some event, Dad had put some silencing spells on the second floor too.
"Got it Micky." Lavi soon summoned absolute demise. With the ice doll appearing behind Lavi.
Lavi, and Jeanne likely understand what I'm planning to do.
Since Jeanne had grabbed her training sword and mine.
She then hand over me mine.
I took it, all three of us then looked at eachother.

Finally we were able to breakthrough the backyard defense, it was harder than expected, particularly for a mission to kidnapped a child, one of them thought.
Since trying to enter through the backyard was harder than expected, and taken much.
But it seems the wthes for the backyard are weaker than the one that is implemented inside and around the yard of the house.
Though the silencing spells was actually really helpful in making them unnoticed.
But now, five of us, have entered the backyard, though we have temporarily stopped their advance so they can confirmed with the magicians on the front.as we discussed on something, and about to contact Glenda and the others.
Now what's the status with the others. The magicians thought.
Maybe we can get–
Suddenly his sense, flared.
Since then–
SHRIEK!!!
A field of ice appeared out of nowhere,and as suddenly it appears ice spikes rised from the field, striking him instantly,vpiercing his flesh and garments, and killing him via a stab to his heart.
His blood then pours out of his body,staining the icy blue ice spike with a dark brown colour, as the blood then falls on to the grassy field of the backyard.
The appearance of the ice spikes, shocked the four magicians, as they had witnessed one of their partner killed.
" WHAT!!??"
" WHAT THE HELL!!"
The magician immediately activated their barriers, and begin scanning the backyard
Which due to the size of the backyard and the different conditions of the backyard from some trees,dummies, bushes, obstacles, it was pretty much hard for them to spot on where it came from.
Suddenly a HUM sound was heard, but before they could located it, a magic bolt flies by, striking one of them.
SNAP-POP
a popping sound of the magician getting hit can be heard.
"AARGH!!" The magician who got hit immediately screamed, since the magic bolt had struck their arm, creating a flesh wound, and breaking his bone, and immediately it begins to bleed.
" Joshua!!!" One of the other magician shouted, seeing his friend getting hit.
SWOOSH!!
" What was that!?" The other magician look around. Momentarily focus on what they just heard.
And as suddenly the sound appears, another sound appears.
SHING!
SCHLUCK!!
" AAAHHHH!!!" the magician was slashed as his leg was struck, with his clothes being ripped by the attack and a massive slash woun formed on his leg.
Seeing that, the magicians created a circle
and with them looking around and staying alert, as they treat the injuries they suffered.
SWOOSH!!

More sounds was heard, the magicians immediately begin firing spells at where the sound was coming from.
Since they didn't know who the hell was attacking them! , they were unable to guess on the fact that the person attacking them was three kids.

Back At The Front

While the magicians that is in the backyard are having a once of a lifetime experience of being hunted by what is basically the predator.
The magicians in the front are experiencing being soldiers during WW2.
( The Magicians' POV)
SNAP-SNAP!!
The sound of a gunshot can be heard once more.
One of the Mid-High-Class magicians, Marcus had his barrier up, with him not worried at all, since his barrier afterall should stop anything short of–
The bullets punched through the barrier first layer.
What–?!
It then penetrated the second layer.
And then third.
The two bullets then detonated against the final barrier–
BOOM!!
The explosion shattered the barrier completely, throwing Marcus backward.
And Killing him.
Causing everyone who witnessed that to be horrified.
"WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF GUN AND BULLET ARE THOSE?!" One of them screamed.
Another magician, by the name Dorothy, a female scout,dove behind cover as more shots rang out, suddenly more shots rang out, but unlike the previous one's, the next one struck terror into them.

Explosion sound continues to be heard and in this case the amount that their receiving has increased, as shrapnel and dust flies around at a crazy rate,with all the magicians taking cover, not wanting to get killed by The bullets nor dying because they got it by a piece of the sidewalk.
Dorothy who was taking cover, was trying to analyse on what type of guns their target was using, considering it's best to identify what type of weapons they're targets are using.
Overall from her analysis.
It was too fast for a bolt-action rifle, so are they using semi-automatic? No-

Since the sound the guns are making and the amount of bullets being fired isn't standard for a semi automatic. It was rapid firing which mean it was

"WHERE DID THEY GET A FUCKING MACHINE GUN?!"Dorothy shouted, horrified that their opponents has a machine gun.
"THAT'S an assault rifle !" another magician yelled from behind a car, correcting her. "THEY HAVE A FUCKING assault rifle with rapid fire WITH EXPLOSIVE AMMUNITION!"

Bullets rains around them, as the person firing it was now hitting their cover and tearing through it and their barriers.
The fact the moment the bullets punched their barriers, they detonate on impact, sending and scattering dust,dirt, and any other material that is around the barriers or the kinetic energy spreading to their body.
The combination of the suppresing fire,and explosive force turned out was deadly and traumatizing for the magician.
With what the magician was experiencing was something beyond any of their imagination, about this operation.
Since the planned operation and the expected scenario, was one for them to basically bulldoze the defenses ,and snatched their target, like taking candy from a baby.
But instead of that they're currently having a first hand once in a lifetime experiencing a small scale versionof the D-Day landing. ( or the baby's turns out had a shotgun and shot them)
Feeling what allies soldiers felt when landing at Normandy, being fired upon by German machine guns.
With a few magician slowly getting a partial version of PTSD, from the explosion, and seeing their friends turning to limbs and pieces and getting hit by said pieces.
Overall the operation had become a disaster, with all that are still alive having some injuries due to shrapnel, or the blast.
(Glenda's POV)
Glenda who was also taking cover, was seething that the situation had turned, with her wondering on what's happening.
This is impossible, how could this have happened. Not to mention the amount of magician that she brought being killed and injured, including herself.
She then looks at the wounds she got after a shrapnel had struck her in the leg.
Glenda was really seething at this moment, considering it a humiliation for her ,one of the most powerful witches to get injured and yet having too coward as well by taking cover.
That's enough, she thought.
Glenda then raised both of her hands.
Multiple magic circles.
Six of them, appeared around her.
With their designs being very unique with some rotating or are moving around with them charging up to launch a high level attack.
"FOCUS!" she commanded. "IGNORE THE GUNFIRE! BREAK THE WARDS QUICKLY!!"
Hearing that order, the remaining magicians poured everything into their next spells.
A burst of spells was launched,magic bolts, wind blades, lightning bolts,magic laser, explosion,fireballs, and etc and struck the wards.
The wards immediately flared, facing the spells that's attacking. But the wards was able to hold.
But then–
Glenda's magic circles blazed, with it about to finish charging up, Glenda herself seeing that grinned. With her then shouting.
"IGNIS BARRAGE!"
WHOOSH–
Six bolts of concentrated magical energy was launched, with them spiralling and heading towards and targeting the same point.
The second-floor windows, where the gunfire was coming from.
The six powerful bolts soon met the ward.
The ward's once more flared, trying to hold against the attack, absorbing the energy of the spells.

The magicians and Glenda herself watched as the wards was absorbing Glenda attack, but–
CRACCKKKKK!!
Sadly the ward had finallycollapsed with it unable to hold all the destructive power of the bolt.
As the bolts then struck the wall and window second floor and explosion was formed.
KA-BOOM!!

(Giulia's POV)
Giulia soon clicked her trigger.
But there was no bullets coming out.
She immediately checked the magazine.
Empty, I need to reload.
Giulia soon grab another magazine, that is near her.
Charlotte meanwhile continues to basically give the enemy hell.
With the sound of the M16 firing and sound of the brass casing falling and hitting the floor was mesmerizing.
RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!
Not to mention around them there were more than 50 bullets casing on the floor.
Charlotte face meanwhile was filled with intensity to protect Her family and friends.
RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!!
RAT-TAT-TAT– click-click...
Hearing that, Charlotte soon looked back at Giulia, who was reloading her gun.
" Giulia throw me another magazine!" Charlotte asked Giulia while opening her hand.
Giulia immediately throws Charlotte another runic magazine.
"Here!"
" Thanks "
Giulia then turned back fire her M16 again but
Giulia soon saw the magic circles.
All aimed at them.
As the spells was launched at them.
The wards immediately activated and sigils lights up. With the wards absorbing the attack, and holding them back.
Then six bolts flies out of six magic circle, and make in contact with the wards. Which for a few seconds the wards was absorbing the attack then the worst sound was heard.
CRACCKKKKK!!
The ward had failed... And finally collapsed.
Oh no–!!
"CHARLOTTE, GET DOWN–!!" Giulia shouted.
But before Giulia could fully warn Charlotte or have herself and Charlotte take cover or get back from the window.
The six BOLTS struck the house.
KA-BOOM!!
The moment the bolt make contact with the house, the wall of the second floor was immediately obliterated, and come with it an utter complete structural failure, as debris flies around them, as the force of the blast sent Giulia and Charlotte flying.
Fire, dust, and chunks of the wall went flying.
The explosion threw Giulia backward and sent her flying, across the room.
She then was slammed into the far wall, HARD!
CRACK!
With the moment Giulia hit the wall it broke some of her bones, immediately everything for Giulia blurred.
Her pain receptor was now active, and her ears ringing from the sound of the explosion.
With her then knocked out, from the blast and the injuries she received.
(Charlotte's POV)
Meanwhile Charlotte had been standing near the staircase window when the blast hit.
Not as close as Giulia who's location was the ground zero of the blast, but close enough for
the explosion to throw her backward, towards the stairs.
With her falling down the stairs, stumbling and being injured by each step she took from falling.
TTHUMP-CRACK-THU-CRACK-CRACK-THUD-THUD-BAM!
Breaking Charlotte bone, and injuring her with every step Charlotte took to her body.
Charlotte soon finally stopped from falling the stairs, with her resting on the landing of the stairs that is now covered in her blood.
Pain....Everything feel so painful.
Charlotte who was hit by the blast was actually still conscious with her experiencing on falling down the stairs.
Charlotte was also currently temporarily deaf,with her ears only hearing ringing sound.
but after awhile she was able to recover she then tried to stand, but due to the injuries she received, she immediately falls.
With her unable to hold the pain coming from her legs.

But thankfully her gun was still in her hand, with her gripping it hard when the wall exploded.

Charlotte then forced herself to her knees, shaking, and bleeding.
But armed, and still ready to fight.
With her reason is for her daughter.
Jeanne, these people want to hurt her.
She has to fight.
She raised her gun, hands shaking, her vision blurred, as tears formed from her eyes.

(Giulia's POV)
Pain.... Pain....
Pain....
Everything hurts.
Only ringing sound.
I don't know why, I can't hear anything...
Giulia's eyes snapped open.
As her now looking up at the ceiling, which the ceiling she was seeing was not her and Edward bedroom wrong ceiling.
With the ceiling damaged.
Where... Am...I?
But her memories then returned.
As Giulia eyes widened.
Magicians are attacking them!!! She and Charlotte was hit by a spell that destroyed the wards.
Giulia tried to move, but her body immediately protested. She was bruised, bleeding and has some of her bones cracked.
But Giulia didn't care, Her hand moved automatically, due to her muscle memory from dad's bodyguard training.
Weapon first. Always have your weapon with you, don't let it go.
Giulia meanwhile soon tried to breath but the dust that was kicked up and made by the explosion made it harder for her to breathe, causing her to cough when breathing.
She tried to move, but the moment she stands up her legs pain receptors lights up, causing her to fall to the floor,with her hitting the floor hard.

Damn it, she thought.
Giulia decided to crawl to find her gun, not wasting any time, even if it's still is bad for her who's injured.
Gun, where's the gun–I can't see.
The smoke and dust was pretty much hell for her eyes.
Thankfully she was able to find her gun. Since the explosion didn't send the gun flying too far away from where she was.
The moment Giulia found the gun, she saw that the magazine that's attached to the gun was damage, a part of it had cracks and one of the part was chipped. Which if she were to use the broken magazine,the gun could malfunction or the bullets won't reload into the gun.
She check her pockets to grab a new one, but the magazines was not there.
Damn it the explosion must have scattered the magazine.
Giulia scanned around quickly trying to find one, since right now the enemies has brached the ward.
She spotted one, and loaded it to her gun, not focusing on it being a normal magazine.

She gripped her gun, and forced herself to sit up, but the moment she sit up, her pain receptors flared, signalling her injuries.
But Giulia ignores them.
Ignore it....Come on.
I need to move, i have to find... Charlotte.
She looked around, while slowly standing up, holding herself and using the wall to help her stay up, with her begin to walked albeit slowly
towards the stairs.
She then spotted Charlotte.
There, on the stairs, Charlotte.
Thankfully she's conscious, injured but conscious, but her gun is still in her hand, good girl.
Gerald really trained you well.
Giulia then forced herself to walked down the stairs.
With her shaking, but barely able to walk.
She moved to Charlotte, grabbed her arm.
"Can you walk?" she whispered.
Charlotte turned her head to see Giulia who was conscious, then she nodded, wincing.
Not convincingly, but determined to continue, even in pain.
"Good. We're moving down to the First floor. Thankfully I think Michael and the other are safe at the basement."
She pulled Charlotte up, both of them leaning on each other to support one and another.
So they can somewhat stand.
As they continue to move, slowly, due to the injuries they received.
They made it to the stairs, and begin carefully and slowly step down the stairs.
But it was painful for both, but their mind continue to encourage them.
To protect their family.
Keep going.
Keep going.
You can do it.
Thanks to that they were able to finally reached the first floor.
The moment they arrived at the living room, what they saw was a total disaster, the living room furniture that was blocking the front door was destroyed and overturned, debris filled part of the house.
A giant hole on the ceiling and walls where the explosion and spells had breached the house.
But luckily it seem the kids weren't here, meaning they likely had went to the basement.
But there's a problem...
There were several people standing in the room, seven of them, the attackers was in their house.
Giulia raised her gun despite the pain.
Aimed at them, targeting the centre of mass on the nearest target, but before she could fire.
One of them then stepped forward, an old woman, who was in her late forties, early fifties, with long gray hair, with her wearing a witch's robe.
Her eyes seem to be filled with malice.
The woman then smiled, though her smile was not friendly, more towards a predatory smile.
"Hand over the Absolute Demise user," she said.
Her voice was calm, elegant. Like she was ordering coffee at a coffee shop. "And no one else needs to get hurt."

Giulia's eyes narrowed, and secretly shocked on what she just heard.
How does she know her daughter has absolute demise, especially the fact she's know Lavinia is here, no one except their family supposed to know about it, unless...
Giulia searches through her mind, with her trying to remember on who else knows about Lavi existence, and her having a Longinus.
Giulia eyes then widened.
That's it!
She now remembered, two years ago Vivienne had mentioned that after they left Britain, when Michael first meet Lavi, Lavi had been struggling and someone was manipulating it, which after they left, she was nearly kidnapped, but she and Edgar stopped the perpetrator, the person who had also been originally Vivienne friend.
Which means this woman in front of her is....
"Glenda," Giulia said flatly.
The woman's smile widened.
Confirming Giulia suspicions.
"Ah," Glenda said pleasantly. "You know me. How flattering."
"You're the one who tried to kidnap Lavinia before," Giulia continued, gun still aimed, steady despite the pain. "The one who killed her parents and manipulated her family to hate her."
Glenda's smile didn't falter. At Giulia accusations of what she did.
"Now now don't make any accusations like that, though I admit I did kill her parents and I did manipulate her family, but i didn't try to kidnap her," she corrected. "I acquired her, which Your in-laws stole her from ME." Glenda said that last part with hatred.
" How could you say that, She's not property–" Giulia shocked hearing what she heard from the old woman.
"She's a sacred gear user especially a longinus wielder," Glenda interrupted, voice sharpening. "One of the Thirteen. A weapon capable of killing gods, she's valuable and that's why she belongs with people who understand her value, you probably understand her values right, being Vivienne daughter in law. you must know how valuable are a longinus user."
"She's a child–" Giulia said.
"She's a resource," Glenda snapped. "One that your family has no right to hoard and took away from me"
Giulia's grip on the gun tightened.
Readying to fire.
"Lavinia is family," Giulia said carefully.
"She's not going anywhere with you."
"That's not your decision to make, dear." Glenda replied.
She gestured casually, and two magicians immediately moved.
NO!!
Giulia shifted aim at Glenda, and open fire.
RAT-TAT-TAT!!
Three bullets was fired, they then hit the barrier Glenda immediately created.
But since they were normal bullets instead of the runic bullet, the bullets ricochet from said barrier, and hitting the wall,and creating three bullets hole.
The two magicians kept moving, preparing to activate some spells.
Charlotte meanwhile tried to raised her gun as well, but she was struck by a spell causing her to drop her gun.

Glenda looked at Giulia and Charlotte.
Seeing them like prey who has been cornered, and is trying their best to intimidate them.
Glenda almost felt sympathy for them.
Almost.
Glenda stares at Giulia.
"You fought well," she said. "Better than expected, honestly. Those ammunition is... impressive." showing a wound she received.
She stepped closer.
"But you're outmatched, injured, alone, you know..." Glenda begin walking towards Giulia.
" So I'll ask one more time."
Glenda continues to get closer.
"Hand over the girl, and this ends peacefully."
Giulia stared at her, with her gun raised.
Aiming straight for Glenda's head.
With her point blank range.
"No," she said, defiance not to surrender.
Glenda sighed.
Like she was a disappointed to her child.
"Then we do this the hard way."
Giulia immediately tried to open fire.
But before she could her throat suddenly felt it was choking, making her unable to focus.
And causing her unable to raise her gun.
(Giulia's POV)
I Can't breathe.
I CAN'T BREATHE.
Glenda's was now holding her throat, with her being choked by a wind spell.
Giulia clawed at her neck, but since no one is actually physically choking her, there was nothing there for her to attack to try get herself free, with it just being pressurised air, crushing her windpipes.
Giulia eyes meanwhile slowly had tears, since it was super painful being choked.
Glenda's face hovered close, watching Giulia face, and her attempts to fight back.
Glenda face had a smile seeing that, a cynical smile.
"Poor girl," Glenda said softly. Almost gentle. "You and your friend fought so well."
She glanced at Charlotte.
Who was now on the floor, with her having collapsed, after one of the other magicians having dealt with Charlotte who tried to fight back, and bite one of them.
"So much effort," Glenda continued, looking back at Giulia. "So much determination by you and your friend here."
Glenda increased the pressure to crush Giulia throat.
I need to fight...
I have to shoot her.
Giulia tries to raised her gun again, but she was too weak.
The gun soon slid off from her hand and on to the floor making a sound.
CLACK
"But sadly," Glenda's voice was almost mockingly sad, "all your effort to protect her was futile."
Giulia's vision begin to fade.
Tears dripping down on her face.
"Though I admit your resilience to protect the child is impressive, and admiring especially your determination to fight, even now...."
I need to stay awake, come on Giulia you have to fight, even if I can't breathe or I can't move.
Giulia secretly thought, as she continue tries to fight back and stay awake.
"But it's all futile in the end, now... I hope you take a good night rest now,dear." Glenda replied with Her looking at Giulia, as if she's a child.
"Better yet maybe one where you never wake up and maybe never return forever...."
Glenda said, she then increased the pressure of the wind spell that is crushing Giulia windpipes even more.
Giulia then fall to her knees, with her unable to stand anymore,as her body muscles has lost the necessary oxygen needed for the body to properly function.
"Good night dear, it was very nice having a conversation with you." Glenda said to Giulia before Giulia slowly lost her ability to hear.
Giulia thought went back to the kids.
Michael.
Lavinia.
Jeanne.
I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
I couldn't–
I Couldn't protect you three.
Tears fall from her cheek, as it slides down from her face and on to the floor.
Giulia consciousness soon began to slip.
As her brain lost it's function due to the lack of oxygen and it's inability to gain more.
The darkness, slowly close in.

Im so sorry i failed you Edward.

Before Giulia fully was engulfed by the darkness she thought of her final thoughts.

Giulia then closes her eyes one last time, as her body then collapses as everything went dark for her.
As Giulia's head then hit the floor.
With a loud THUD!
Glenda seeing that smiles, which she slowly turns away, from Giulia's body.
