Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 "With this face, everything is easy."

In the morning, after getting enough rest, we continued on our way to the dungeon. We hadn't had any unexpected events during the night, which was especially rare, but because of that, I woke up with much more energy than any other day.

I hoped we were close to our destination, as we had already been walking for a full week. With that in mind, we checked the map we had and realized that we still had a long way to go to reach our desired location.

With no other choice, we walked for a full week. That made it two full weeks of travel... Although it was annoying, the journey still had some small benefits.

[Stamina points increasing!: Increase of 0.1 points]

[Strength points increasing! Increase of 0.05]

Every hour and a half of walking, this little notification popped up. The first time this notification appeared, I hoped that these points would be cumulative. However, the goddess ruined my plans when she explained that you can only get them once a day.

Over the years, he began to distribute the points he earned evenly. With all the missions the system gave me, I expected to have higher stats, but the points began to run out as I had to distribute them to stats such as [REA], [INT], and [MEN].

This was quite the opposite of Hernesto, who had a simpler system.

Thinking about this, I looked at Hernesto, doing a quick check.

This guy beat me in every stat except mana. The worst part is that, being a warrior, his use of Qi has the benefit of even doubling several of his stats. Thanks to this, he can hold his own against B+ rank creatures.

In addition to his incredible stats, it seems that with each passing year he only gets more and more handsome. The wind blows through his 'incredible' blond hair, giving him the air of a menacing but kind warrior. Every time we go to a town, several women approach him and surround him. Of course, this made me a little jealous of his 'status' as a handsome guy.

"It's disgusting how nice he is,"

I said aloud, with an expression of pure disgust towards Hernesto.

"What's bugging you now?"

He asked, looking up at me.

"I'm just thinking about how handsome people are in this world."

"Ah... yes, that's true. Except for the nobles, I've had the misfortune of meeting people who are unpleasant in both appearance and personality."

Meh, that's normal for the nobility. They always have that cliché. It's very difficult to find a world that doesn't fit this, even in my novels this was difficult...

Now that I think about it, I never found one where the nobles weren't unpleasant.

"Now that I think about it, what's your problem with that? Even you look better than you did in our previous world."

"And yet no woman talks to me,"

I said, clenching my fist in pain.

"Stop frowning and try again."

Yes... that's true. Thanks to the body type

I got before, my height and muscle mass started to increase. I have nothing against this, but if I add this information to the fact that I have a very unfriendly expression, because I'm always frowning. It's usually very difficult for me to interact with others.

For this reason, Hernesto and I usually go to a dungeon alone because everyone rejects us when they see me. How sad my life is...

"Hey, look."

Hernesto caught my attention as he pointed ahead.

In the distance, we could see a small coastal town. This was our destination, the town of 'Puerto Abisal' connected to the sea, which contained the S-rank dungeon 'The Abyss'.

"Finally, I was starting to feel like we'd never get there!"

I said, quickening my pace and leaving Hernesto behind.

We quickly reached the town, where we looked for an inn to rest from the long journey.

"You pay for the place, I'll go to the guild and buy some necessary things."

Hernesto said, before leaving me alone.

"Yes, yes, do what you want."

I said, watching him leave the place.

It didn't take me long to book two rooms, so to kill time I decided to explore the city a little.

This place wasn't that big, it couldn't even be compared to our hometown, so it was easy to find the important places like the adventurers' guild and the merchant.

Another thing to note about the place was that most of the people here were semi-human. There were plenty of octopus-like people or other related types, such as the shark or orca races. Something that struck me as odd was that, even though the members of the latter races were much larger than most, they still avoided my gaze.

I have to start smiling a little more... I thought, feeling the terrified stares of the other people.

I didn't want to get into trouble or scare more people, so I had to go back to the inn. In this place, people's reactions didn't change, but since there were fewer of them than before, I felt much better.

---Hernesto POV---

Damn... All the spots are full...

In front of me was the sign where you reserve a permit for the dungeon, but I quickly realized that every single permit had been taken. This was the case for the entire week... I honestly expected something like this, but this is too much.

"What am I going to do now...?"

I muttered, scratching my head in obvious frustration.

"Hey."

From behind me, a voice called out to me, at the same time as it tapped my shoulder.

When I turned around, I saw an older half-human woman, more specifically a cow woman. It's a good thing Lukas isn't here...

"Is something wrong?"

I asked, looking her straight in the eye. As I turned around completely, I could see her appearance better, as well as the two women behind her.

"Were you looking for a spot in the dungeon? If so, would you like to join us? The more the merrier."

Hmm... I didn't expect to be invited to join a group. I guess not bringing Lukas has its advantages.

Putting aside my teasing of Lukas, she asked me, "Can I bring him with me?"

"Excuse me, but there are two of us. Is there a problem if we go?"

"No! It's better for us,"

she said, handing me a piece of paper with the dungeon's address and a set time.

"We'll leave tomorrow. See you at this address at this time,"

she said before turning around and returning to her group. Then she left the place.

Well, that was easy. Since I was done here, I decided to return to the inn.
