3 hours later
Ughhhh!!! What is taking this ability so damn long. What kind of a freak mind does he have for it to be this fortified.
Gema rubbed the sides of her head.
I really should've let Marrow take this mission instead. Curse my boredom.
Gema had the last three hours listening to Bael talk about the wildlife. She had assumed that her ability would work within a few minutes but, she had severely underestimated the mental fortitude of Bael.
With a heavy sigh Gema stood up and leaned back. Crack! Crack! Crack! With each inch her spine cracked like gunfire.
"Are, you okay?" Bael asked
"I'm fine, just needed a little stretch is all darling," Gema responded waving her hand dismissively.
"Oh, okay the-," Bael stopped mid-sentence. His eyes lost focus for a moment before pink flames slowly ignited within them
Gema shot up and stared at Bael, she grinned as she wrapped her hands around him.
"Well darling, you were quite the piece of work weren't you," she said in a seductive voice.
"Could give me a little smile? "
Bael's lips curled upward without hesitation.
She giggled.
Bzzz! Gema paused while the phone on her hip vibrated.
"Give me a minute would ya," she lightly tapped Bael on the nose as she went back into the boat.
After making sure that no one was around she locked herself in her room and answered the call.
Ding
'Well that was much faster than I had expected' Makelil's voice rang out from the other side.
"Well I'm sorry my dear hubby, I'll make sure to take an hour before picking up any business call," Gema shot back.
'Compose yourself. Getting angry won't help you keep your face looking young you know,'
Gema clicked her tongue, "since when did you grow a sense of humor."
'Hurtful. But I'm not here on that right now, so Status update I guess,'
She rolled her eyes then looked at her phone. Atleast he made an effort this time.
"I now have control of Bael and will be attempting to use him to somehow kill Shin'en. I'll keep you updated on anything new," she replied.
'Great, keep up the good work. Remember, failure is not an option,' Makelil said in a flat voice.
Gema's entire body tensed up. Beep! Beep! Beep! The call disconnected.
Still can't help but feel chills when he gets like that. But it is still hot.
She let out a chuckle while hugging herself and swaying side to side.
"There we go with those words again. You already forgot how hard Ezra pushed herself because of them," she let out another chuckle, "No failing then."
