The next day Ava and Robert wakes up from bed just to discover the house is unusually silent. Calling out on his grandma who later shows up with the meat and a surprise
"Surprise grandson " Says Mrs Smith
"Grandma what is this all about it isn't your birthday today right "asks Robert
"No it isn't of course not but we are celebrating a new bundle of joy in our home "
"A new bundle of joy what are you talking about haven't you ever had joy before ?"
"Oh Robert, this child. We are celebrating your marriage. We didn't plan anything yesterday because we didn't know that you will get married so we decided to do it today."
"Oh grandma there's no need for all of this." Says Ava
"Grandma don't worry I will hold a banquet the day after tomorrow for that"
"Really son? So everyone will know you are married"
"Yes Grandma.
"I'm so happy grandson"
Ava pulls Robert aside and ask him if he is crazy and that he should rethink about his decision
"I have taken my decision. Don't you want your family to envy you and adore you? Don't you want to take revenge on your mom. This is a good start"
"... You are right.... Let's do it"
Robert goes to work. At work he orders his PA Carlos to be in charge of everything that concerns the ceremony and should invite the parker family specially.
3 days later.The day for the marriage ceremony has come and the hall is full of people.
" Wow mom this place is really beautiful and big and it's full with people of the high class " Says Serena
"Yes my dear. Your father is a wealthy man and he has the privilege to be invited by the Mr Robert one of the wealthiest young man of this country " says Mrs Frida
"I don't know what I owe this invitation for. I'm really surprised because my company isn't that famous as compared to the people here" says Mr Parker
"Oh honey you should be happy instead. This might be an opportunity for your company to become famous. Serena you should look for a wealthy man and marry so he can invest in us and your dad's company." Says Mrs Frida
" Yes mom. You are right. That's what I'm going to do"says Serena
"Good decision " said Mr Parker
Serena takes some wine and takes a walk making Mr Williams attracted to her. He approaches her and ask for a private time with her. She agrees and the go to a quiet corner.
"This man seems very rich and his face looks a bit familiar " says Serena in her mind
"Hello pretty angel. I am Mr Williams the famous business man who owns a bag designing company"
" Oh wow. Now I remember why the face seems familiar . I am Serena the daughter of Mr Parker"
" Okay. I don't know if I know him. But for him to be invited here means he is wealthy. So gorgeous will you be my girlfriend?"
" Really? Are you serious?"
"Yes my love. I am very serious. Or don't you want to celebrate your marriage like this or even more?"
" Of course I want to baby. I will be your girlfriend."
" Let's go then do I introduce you to my friends " says Williams
"Okay " says Serena while smiling.
After some few minutes Serena goes to tell her parents about her new found lover and Mr Williams goes to see someone. She was about to tell her parents but was interrupted with the presence of Mr Robert
Mr Robert goes on stage to wait for his bride. Some people gossip in the crowd how Robert has never shown any sign of interest in women despite their various ways of approaching him and he suddenly gets married it's crazy but interesting
" who can be that lucky to woman. And beside why didn't mention his to be wife's name?"
" I guess he wants to surprise the public "
" yeah let's see who that lucky woman is"
Their gossip was interrupted by the MC who calls for the bride to come in. The doors open and Ava comes in a very beautiful luxurious long white gown heading to her husband. The crowd is amazed by her beauty while her father, stepmother and stepsister looks at her in great shock and envy.
" How could She get married to him. How can someone like Mr Robert ever notice a lowlife like Ava?" Says Serena
"How is this possible " says Mrs Frida
"Rather than asking questions let's see how we make peace with her" says Mr Parker
"Peace? Dad what do you mean?"
" Yes dear. Listen! You know we didn't treat her right and now that she is married to Mr Robert she can do anything with the money she will be given to do something against us. So we have to make like we are sorry so she will accept us and after that we will figure out what to do" says Mr Parker
"I see" says Serena
" We are just pretending right? So that's what we will do. Hope it works " says Mrs Frida
" Of course it will work. You know how she longs for her dad by her side. And I think she was the one who asked Mr Robert to invite us. She really loves Dad and wants him around her" says Serena.
After the ceremony, Mr Williams spots Serena standing rush towards her.
"Hi my love " says Mr Williams
"Hi sweetheart. Mom dad this my boyfriend. Mr Williams this are my parents"
"Nice to meet you " says Mr Williams extending his hand to Mr Parker
" Nice to meet you too " responding with a handshake
" Please excuse me for a moment. I want to go sign some business deals " says Mr Williams
"Ok" says Serena
"Oh wow a handsome young man. Where did you see him. His face looks familiar" says Mrs Frida
"He is actually the famous Mr Williams who owns the designer bags and clothes company in the whole country"
" Oh my God. How did you two meet?"ask Mrs Frida
"Actually he came towards me and asked me to bé his girlfriend and I think he will want to marry me because he had asked if I wouldn't want my marriage to be as this." Says Serena
"Oh my wow! Just like that?.Prepare yourself and get married to him as fast as possible before someone takes your place." Says Mrs Frida
"I won't let anyone take him from me. I will see what I can do about that." Says Serena
"Good. But let's focus on our plan. I don't want anything that will cost my fortune" says Mr Parker
Okay let's go" says Mrs Frida
They all leave to meet Ava.
"Ava my child " Says Mr Parker
"Congratulations sister" Says Serena
Ava turns towards them and looks at them with range of anger and hatred.
" My dear child. I'm so happy that I was able to be part of this time in your life."
"Who invited you here" ask Ava
" Actually we were sent the invitation . I wish your mom was here to see this moment" says Mr Parker
" Don't you ever talk about my mom. How dare you"
" I'm sorry Ava. I know I have wronged you and I'm so sorry. Please forgive me.....forgive us"says Mr Parker
Ava just stared at them and flashbacks of what they had done to her came rushing in her mind. As she stares at them Mrs Smith calls for her
"Hello everyone. I will like to invite my grand daughter in-law to come forward."Says Mrs Smith
Ava goes forward and Mrs gives her a bracelet
" This bracelet was given to me by my mother in-law and I had passed it to my daughter in-law but she has left us.... So I pass it to you. It's a generational bracelet in our family since in the old days. It is a symbol of acceptance. I give you today as accepting you into the family my dear child." Says Mrs Smith
" Thank you grandma " says Ava with tears on her eyes.
People gossip that the bracelet was worth millons of dollars and very rare to find. "She is indeed a beautiful girl but I'm sure she must be someone they cherish so much to deserve all this." A guest says
Mr Parker and his family hear's this and are really stunned.
" What did she do to have so much acceptance and love from these people?" Ask Serena.
The ceremony is over after an hour and the newly weeded couple leave home.
