The jet rolled into a sharp dive as rapid beeps echoed through the cockpit, a threat warning. The sky filled with countermeasures burning bright with slight shimmers reflecting. Spiral after spiral before the pilot strained their body pulling out of the dive into a narrow valley.
The rapid beeps ceased for just a moment before it returned, whatever was after the pilot it was determined. Weaving through the valley leaving a trail of light the pilot survived for another moment until the threat emerged again.
The beeps returned once again but not as quick, this time it was no radar missile. The attacker was now visible right behind them matching move for move through the valley. Watching a trail of smoke disconnect from the hostile behind they deployed their remaining countermeasures throwing off the missile. This move practically blinded the hostile for just a moment forcing them up and out of the valley and losing their prey.
Using this moment of opportunity the pilot shot out of the valley skimming a mountain side to get behind the hostile. Their cockpit was filled with a steady hum as their missile gained lock, with a single press of the fire button the missile departed. The missile screamed across the sky marking its path before striking the hostile turning them into a burning wreck spiraling into the ground.
