Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Holy Son

Twelve billion years ago, a great war erupted among the ancient beings of the Primal universe. With countless such entities perishing amid the chaos, with only a few remaining dominant.

Growing weary of endless conflict, nine supreme Dao Sovereigns gathered their families, peers, and even former enemies. Together, they resolved to flee to a new world, to hide, and never return to the battlefield.

After a long and grueling journey spanning 100,000 years, the fleeing ancients stumbled upon a small island that had formed its own Dao embryo.

Hello there—Dao here. I will briefly explain what a Dao embryo is.

In this universe, as long as a world fulfills certain conditions, it can evolve. A fully evolved world can sustain life, and one that reaches the pinnacle of evolution can even create life capable of cultivation.

The first stage of world evolution is known as the Seedless Phase, or Wasteland Phase:

1. The world is barren, filled with weak spiritual energy, and incapable of supporting true cultivation.

2. No World Dao exists yet.

3. Grade: Fragmented Plane

Once the world evolves, it reaches the

Dao Seed Awakening Phase:

1. After countless epochs, a Dao embryo takes root in the heart of the world.

2. This embryo gradually matures into a Dao Seed, granting the world its first spiritual will.

3. Spiritual energy begins to gather; the land shifts, beasts begin to evolve, and secret realms emerge.

4. Grade: Low-Grade World

This is the stage at which the small island was first discovered. Ok, that's it from

Me- back to story->

Once the Nine Sovereigns settled there, they each began choosing major secret realms to reside in. Unbeknownst to them, jealousy and resentment festered among those forced to dwell in the savage seas and harsher lands. Eventually, unrest grew into rebellion.

Though they had hoped to escape the scourge of war, war found them once again. It lasted 500,000 years before it was finally quelled. The original Nine Dao Sovereigns joined forces, slew the leaders of the rebellion, and cast them out into the vast skies.

With the immortal world restored and its foundation reinforced, the Nine forged an eternal oath among all beings of the realms: a great war shall never again erupt.

Recognizing the deep scars left upon the Immortal Realm, the Nine opened their secret realms and established nine great sects, each ruled by the head of one of the nine main families. This decision granted others the opportunity to learn and pursue the Dao. It also allowed the Immortal Realm to thrive, expand, and accumulate achievements that further evolved it.

To ensure the past would not repeat itself, the Nine knew that if they remained as ultimate overlords, chaos would rise anew. Thus, they formed an alliance bound by the Dao and chose one with the greatest merit to lead them all, crowning him the Immortal Emperor.

No one knew where he came from. He claimed to be the last of his clan. But what was evident was that his abilities proved he was more than worthy. And because he was not of the Nine Clans, he became a symbol—one capable of holding the Nine in check.

Now, in the era of the Immortal Emperor Tianjin, peace has truly graced the Immortal Realm.

The descendants of once-warring bloodlines began to mend relationships, and from reconciliation, many new bonds bloomed. In time, many chose to become Dao companions, giving birth to divine children tempered by the endless Dao cultivated within the realm.

One such divine child is Zhen Tianxiu—son of Hu Tianxiu, the early-Immortal War God and crown prince of the Tianxiu Clan; grandson of Tianxiu Yanshen, Holy Lord of the Immortal Council; and great-grandson of Lady Xuanmei, Goddess of Eternal Flame.

Dao here again—our protagonist is currently undergoing final restoration and will be ready soon.

[30 Epochs Later]....…Okay, he is ready now

———Midnight — 12:00 AM- Tianjin Era

"It has been raining for the last 300 years," an elder murmured.

The Council grew restless. The Immortal Realm had never witnessed such a catastrophic state. Once vibrant, sunny, and resplendent, it had become a world drowned in endless rain. "This is because they went against the Dao," said another.

These were the Nine Elders who ruled over the Immortal Council—each one a Monarch of the Immortal Lord Realm.

"That's enough out of both of you. Do you not understand what's happening?" protested Elder Xuan, a late-stage Immortal War God.

The Nine had been arguing all day, unsure of how to respond to the celestial disturbances that coincided with Zhen Tianxiu's birth.

"Please, Elder Yanshen…"

The pleas among the elders grew louder. All sought understanding—what had caused the realm to spiral into chaos?

"I… Even if I could… I—"

!!!!BOOM!!!!

The great gates swung wide open.

A small servant, barely alive and bleeding profusely, staggered in wearing dark golden garments. Led by the guards, the servant entered the main hall, mustering all remaining strength.

"Your Highness, please come to the chamber…"

Elder Yanshen, deep in thought, rose and teleported from within the secret realm, appearing beside the dying servant. Upon reading his memories, he grasped the situation and rushed toward the Tianxiu Main Chamber, bringing several other elders with him.

"Father, you have arrived," said Prince Hu, bowing respectfully.

"How is she?" Elder Yanshen asked calmly.

On the outside, Yanshen remained poised and invincible. But within, his heart was breaking. He had long awaited the birth of his grandson—his dreams were filled with hopes of guiding him, protecting him, and gifting him the Dao.

Now that dream seemed distant. It had been 300 years since the Tianxiu royals first received news of the pregnancy. And yet, 300 years later, the child had still not been born.

"In stillness, the form finds breath; in motion, the breath returns to stillness—this is the circle that holds all things."

These words echoed across the skies, echoed by the Heavenly Tribulation, instilling fear and reverence among the cultivators of the Immortal World. A blinding light pierced the heavens, converging on the Tianxiu Palace, ready to strike it down.

But just as it descended, a majestic 9-petaled rainbow-colored Aurora light emerged, forming a 900-meter spectral barrier that repelled the celestial force.

Once the threat dissipated, saints, gods, fairies, and immortals gathered around the auspicious light, gazing downward in awe. A great hand descended from the heavens, lifting the newborn gently into the sky. A small lotus was placed upon the infant's forehead, as the heavens repeated:

"In stillness, the form finds breath; in motion, the breath returns to stillness—this is the circle that holds all things."

When the phenomenon faded, Elder Yanshen and Prince Hu rushed into the chamber, a mixture of distress and happiness on their faces.

"He's here!" shouted the Immortal Wet Nurse. She picked up the child and placed him into his mother's arms. Upon meeting her gaze, the child's consciousness awakened.

Grandpa Yanshen cradled the infant in his arms, gazing down at the newborn boy with a solemn smile. His lips trembled as he whispered:

"Oh, my sweet grandson… Bless the gods you've been given to our Tianxiu Clan." With a single tear escaping the corner of his eye, it trailed slowly down his aged cheek. Though his immortal form remained untouched by time, there was no mistaking the fragile tenderness in his posture — not as a cultivator, but as a grandfather.

Prince Hu raised a brow. "Dad? Are you crying?" Grandpa Shen chuckles softly, unable to mask the warmth in his voice. Lady Yunxi, ever graceful, placed a gentle hand on her husband's shoulder.

"Oh, don't tease your father. " And father," she turned to her father-in-law, "thank you." I appreciate everything ."

Grandpa Shen turned away slightly, embarrassed, and wiped his sleeve across his face. His arms still held the infant close, careful not to disturb the child's sleep.

"I'm proud of you," he whispers, his voice thick with emotion.

Father-in-law and daughter embraced, the moment soft and golden. Prince Hu sat behind them, watching silently, his gaze calm and peaceful.

A Few Days Later…

Following the immortal tradition, the child had been bathed in spiritual herbs and fed the nectar of starlight. The time had come — the aptitude test, a sacred rite passed down since the Age of Ancients. Bloodline, constitution, and Dao sense would be revealed.

Still, Prince Hu's brow furrowed. "Father… don't you think it's too early?" he asked. "He's only just opened his eyes."

Grandpa Shen waved the concern away like a puff of incense. "What's the harm? The test is safe. He'll barely feel a thing." Still concerned, Prince Hu pressed more sternly now. "Father, you know that's not it. It's not about safety — I just… I don't think it's the right time, it's just too soon."

"Not ready?" Grandpa Shen's tone sharpened. "He's a Tianxiu. Our blood runs with the echoes of heaven. If he can't shed a single drop of blood for the truth of who he is? Would he ever truly forgive us for not trusting him?"

Prince Hu fell silent, but his jaw tightened. The elder softened slightly, placing a hand on his son's shoulder. "I know what you're thinking. But believe me… that child is stronger than any of us understands. Let us trust him."

Hu held the gaze for a long moment. Then, with a slow exhale, he nodded and embraced his father.

"…Alright. Let's do it."

[Inner Courtyard, Tianxiu Palace]

I still can't believe it's been ten days since I woke up in this world… Zhen Pondered. This body and I… we were once the same, weren't we? But something happened… and now I'm back?

He tried to move — a twitch of fingers, a shift of limbs — but alas, even the child of immortals was bound to the laws of growth. His tiny fists flailed in vain, constrained by his childish body. "Still, this is amazing," he expressed, curiously gazing.

{If this is where I think it is, maybe I could be a powerful hero here. Or maybe I could be a Superhero? No, looking at this room and the old, ancient designs, I'm definitely in a cultivation world. I even saw a maid use her two fingers to make something fly —so maybe I could be a super grand, powerful master.}

He grinned as he foolishly giggled at his Great idea.

His thoughts drifted. {And my mother… wow, she's stunning. And my dad — how tall is he?! When I grow up, will I get that big, too?}

He was so lost in his musings that he didn't even notice he had been lifted and carried out of the nursery, through golden halls and down into the ceremonial chamber. Outside, the air hummed with suppressed excitement.

All around the hall, figures stood in reverent silence — elders in flowing robes, sword saints, daoists, rogue cultivators, and even a few long-hidden Sages who had not shown their faces in centuries. Every corner of the immortal realm had sent witnesses for this child's test.

Prince Hu and Lady Yunxi stood near the center, Zhen resting in his mother's arms. The baby blinked slowly, his thoughts half-lost in wonder.

{Why is everyone staring? Did I do something wrong? Wait… is this that test thing Grandpa was talking about?}

A murmur rippled through the chamber.

"It's way too early for the ritual…"

"Is the child not only fifteen days old?"

"The Pillar might not even respond…"

"I think that's enough," intervened a voice.

A sharp pulse of qi cracked through the air — invisible, but heavy. All eyes turned to the man who had released it: Immortal Emperor Taijin.

A great figure who had led the immortal world, ushering it into a great paradise after the great war. A powerful cultivator standing at the peak of the immortal world as one of the only three immortal emperor realm cultivators alongside Zhens grandfather, Yanshen Tianxiu, and the grand patriarch of the Huangtien clan

With long, flowing dark blue hair, he was tall, radiant, and draped in a robe woven from Burning Jade Silk — a rare immortal fabric that granted a powerful defensive formation, with threads imbued with sealed immortal yang qi.

Seated at the highest position in the immortal world, naturally, his spot in the hall was grand too. "Forgive their whispers," he said calmly. "They are only excited after all. After waiting 300 long years. They must be on the edge of their seats. As for me, I am merely grateful to see my sworn brother's grandson alive and well."

The royal couple bowed. "Your Majesty. We thank you for your presence."

With a hearty laugh, Taijin leaned forward, then reached out — space itself bending around his hand — and in an instant, little Zhen vanished from his mother's arms and appeared in the emperor's grasp.

Lady Yunxi gasped softly. Knowing the emperor and his relationship with his father, Prince Hu held her hand in his, assuring her not to worry.

Smiling Taijin watched, peering down at the child in wonder. "So this is the one who made the heavens praise in honor…" He stared for a moment longer, brow furrowing. "hahahah... I see, it seems that you, my friend, have been blessed with heaven's chosen."

Gently returning the newborn zhen to the couple. "Not every day does one have the opportunity to witness the rise of heaven's chosen, Prince Hu and Princess Yunxi, may have the honor of performing this ritual?"

A shockwave of murmurs broke through the crowd. "The emperor himself?"That was unheard of, although the tianxiu clan and the tianjin imperial family were of similar status, with the imperial family as the monarchs, whilst the tianxiu were the overseers of order and judgment.

Not once had the emperor performed the ritual for another clan, outside of his children.

Just then, a sudden wave of qi flowed aggressively across the halls. "How greedy of you, my friend."

With each step, further increasing the pressure, the great figure arose from the crowd. On his back, he carried three blades and a large axe. He stepped forward to contest Tianjin's request.

This was Liu Moyuan, the maternal grandfather of zhen. Although not an immortal emperor realm cultivator, he was still a powerful and feared peak immortal war god.

"Oh ho, it seems your seclusion was successful? And your Dao comprehension has reached the Dao-embodiment stage."

Although proud, Moyuan knew the customs and respectfully bowed to the emperor. "It's a great honor that Your Majesty is concerned for my progress. However, I can't let you steal the honor from me now, can I?"

"Excuses, I was first," he rebuttled

As if speaking through motion, tianjin and Moyuan laughed and greeted each other, as they both were young during the Great War, after going through countless battles together. They had sworn to become brothers alongside Yanshen.

"Look at you, brother, it seems you're getting older. I can vaguely see gray hair," Moyuan chuckled as he teased his friend.

"gray? Me? My grays are less than your's brother."

As the friends conversed, they became unaware of Yanshen slowly walking towards his son and wife. Approaching gently, the elder lifted Zhen from his mother's arms. Feeling the movement, and feeling warm. The baby looked up, smiled, and instinctively placed a hand on the elder's chest.

Looking at the small hand on his chest, the elder's heart gleamed with joy. After 300 years, everything he once dreamed of could come true. Walking towards the center of the hall, his steps measured, He stood before the tablet of heavenly mandate and slowly knelt, placing Zhen gently at its base.

Zhen tilted his head, blinked at the tablet… then reached out with his small hand and playfully tapped it. Nothing... Then, suddenly—

WHOOM!

The crimson gemstone embedded at the tablet's core flared to life, its surface shattering into radiant fractals of rainbow light. Sacred runes ignited, spinning outward and spreading all throughout the immortal world.

Inciting gasps among those who witnessed it. Then, a massive golden character was branded on the tablet:

One by one, the readings began to emerge, each carved in light across the tablet.

By the time the last symbol faded into the light, the hall was silent, not out of choice, nor out of etiquette, but awe. Throughout the history of the immortal world, no being possessed the affinity for all supreme daos.

Even Emperor Taijin stared at the tablet with disbelief. "What a monstrous child. Not even the mythic geniuses of the Ancient Era… Not one of them had this many affinities at birth."

One of the elders fell to his knees. "Heaven's Chosen…" A sword immortal whispered, "This child is destined to go far on the path of pursuing the dao…"

Grandpa Shen said nothing. He stood, cradled the child again, and turned to face the assembly. Little Zhen blinked up at him. Innocently smiling, unaware of what awaits him on the path towards the Dao
