From the moment she had been turned, Meline could already feel all this but she resisted the realization. She didn't want to 'know'. She avoided speaking of a t to those who had been turned before her because they might actually confirm her fears.
Meline's next decision was to get her husband turned as well. He accepted vampirism readily. Meline had been hoping that having a partner to spend eternity with would help her deal with this eternal existence.
