The group was still buzzing with introductions when a sudden weight slammed into Nyxion from behind.
"Nyxionnnnn~!" a teary voice wailed.
Nyxion staggered forward a step before giggling softly, her elegant tail curling in amusement. Strong arms wrapped around her waist as a petite noble girl clung to her back like a koala, sniffling dramatically.
Ling — the same noble girl Nyxion had decisively defeated during the trials — buried her face between Nyxion's shoulder blades, refusing to let go.
"You're already leaving…? Without saying goodbye properly? So mean… I thought we were friends now!" Ling whined, her voice muffled against Nyxion's clothes.
Nyxion reached back and gently patted the smaller girl's head. "I'm not disappearing forever, Ling. We'll see each other tomorrow at classes."
Ling peeked out, pouting cutely, only to freeze when her gaze landed on Ebba Blackthorn.
