The wind howled violently around them as Aiden and Selvara plummeted toward the ground.
Selvara's scream pierced the night sky. "Aiden, you absolute idiot—!! What the hell were you thinking?! We're going to die! I'm pregnant, you reckless pervert—!!"
Aiden laughed, the sound carefree and smug even as they fell at terminal velocity. He held her bridal-style, one arm securely under her knees and the other supporting her back, pressing her pregnant belly and full breasts firmly against his chest.
"Relax, Selva. I've got you," he teased, voice perfectly calm. "Wouldn't dream of dropping my favorite tsundere demoness and our baby."
"Favorite—?! This is not the time for your nonsense!" Selvara scolded, her pale white eyes wide with panic. Her membrane wings flapped uselessly against the rushing wind. "You jumped off a dragon! Without warning! What if you miscalculated?! What if— ahhh—!!"
