Yue looked at him for a moment.
"This is related to Kaelmor?" Yue asked.
Lux's smile faded into something more focused. "Yes."
He lifted one hand, and the box floated a little higher between them, still held by his Telekinesis. The book inside remained closed, its dark cover pulsing faintly like it had a heartbeat it absolutely had no permission to possess.
"I want to know if this book mentions the ancient elf you told us about," Lux said. "The one who might have been connected to the older bloodlines."
Yue's eyes narrowed slightly.
Lux continued, "If Kaelmor trapped you, then there's a chance he trapped others. Maybe not the same way. Maybe not in the same era. But if there's a pattern, I want to see it."
Sira's expression, which had been half playful, half curious, sobered immediately.
The room seemed quieter now.
Even the crystals around Yue dimmed, as if listening.
Yue hummed softly. "Let's see about that."
