I brought my knee up to her stomach, and she crumpled like a paper doll.
I turned just in time to see Kiba getting launched across the gym by the Rook's palm strike.
He landed hard, groaning, but not down.
"Kiba!" I called.
"I'm fine! Stay sharp!" he shouted, already pushing himself up, blade still in hand.
[Boost!]
Fifth count.
The [Rook] wasn't going down easily. She was tanky, fast for her size, and had hand-to-hand skill. But she was too focused on Kiba. She hadn't registered me as a real threat yet.
That was a mistake.
Time to fix that.
"Kiba! Flash-step to the right on my mark!"
He blinked. Understood instantly.
The Rook moved in again, going for a palm thrust to Kiba's chest. Just before she landed the blow—
"Now!"
Kiba disappeared from her front.
I fired a concentrated demonic energy bolt at her exposed side.
Boom!
The explosion engulfed her, sending dust and smoke flying through the gym.
"Did that work?" I muttered, panting.
Then the smoke parted. She was still standing—but her cheongsam was tattered, her arms burned. She looked angry.
Very angry.
"Damn it," I sighed.
"Tag team?" Kiba said, coming beside me again.
"Yup. I'll Boost and bait. You finish."
[Boost!]
Sixth count.
We rushed in. I took the front, letting her swing at me. Her strikes were brutal, like cannonballs wrapped in fists. I ducked, weaved, blocked. My whole body felt like it was being hit with wrecking balls.
But I endured.
[Boost!]
Seventh.
Kiba moved like a ghost behind her, his blade dancing with light.
"Strike—now!" I yelled, diving low to sweep her legs.
She stumbled.
Kiba's sword slashed across her back in a clean, powerful strike.
Blood sprayed. She grunted and dropped to her knees.
I followed up with a full-body tackle, reinforced with boosted power.
She hit the floor, hard.
I stood up, panting.
[Boost!]
Eighth count.
That's it. She wasn't moving anymore.
Kiba and I looked at the four bodies lying unconscious across the gym.
"I think that's everyone," he said, breathing heavily.
"Yeah. Team Gremory: 4, Team Phenex: 0."
[Enemy Rook retired.]
[Enemy Pawn retired.]
[Enemy Pawn retired.]
[Enemy Pawn retired.]
Grayfia's voice echoed from the speakers.
"Four retired members from Team Phenex."
I grinned.
"Let's move. The others will be counting on us."
We exchanged a brief nod, then exited the gym through the side door, leaving the battlefield behind.
And just like that, our first real contribution to the Rating Game was complete.
But I had a feeling it was only going to get harder from here.

Me and Kiba's next move is...to regroup with Koneko and defeat the enemy located at the sports court!
It happens then.
BANG!!
A sudden explosive sound is made nearby. When I look at where the sound came from—.

Kiba is lying on the floor a bit away from me while smokes arise from him. I went to him quickly and hold him up!

An unknown voice. When I look up, there is a shadow up in the air flying with its wings spread. It's a woman dressed up as a mage and wearing her hood. It's Raiser's servant!
I'm sure that is Raiser's [Queen]! The sudden appearance of the strongest servant!

The magician woman laughs as if she finds it amusing.
If I remember correctly her name was Yubelluna and she is a voluptuous woman with long, wavy purple hair that falls all the way down her back and matching eyes. At the front, the right side of her hair falls over her breast and covers her right eye, while the left side falls near the top of her skirt.
Her attire is a dress consisting of a navy blue tunic top with gold accents and a pale blue skirt with open sides, red high-heeled shoes, and overmatched thigh-high stockings with garter belts.
