Chapter 167 - Ch 167: Fight

"Does that mean Gasper is in the enemy's hands now?" Rias asked, her tone sharp with concern.

The room went silent for a moment. Even the ticking of the wall clock seemed hesitant to resume.

Azazel's wings twitched slightly. "Most likely. They must've used his Sacred Gear as the trigger to freeze this area. Someone either manipulated him or forcefully kidnapped him."

Rias clenched her fists, her eyes trembling with worry and anger. "They took Gasper…"

Before anyone could respond, the building trembled.

BOOM!

A sudden explosion tore through the silence. The walls vibrated as dust rained from the ceiling. The magicians outside had begun a full-scale assault. Their attacks, previously scattered and probing, now came in organized, concentrated waves. The ground outside the window was shrouded in a haze of energy and smoke.

"Looks like they're done testing the barrier," Azazel muttered. "They're trying to break in for real."

"Then we should go help Gasper before they use him again!" Rias shouted, already turning toward the door.

"Wait, Buchou," I said, stepping forward. "You're not going alone. Take Kiba and Xenovia with you."

She looked at me, momentarily conflicted, but nodded firmly. "Alright."

Azazel smirked. "Good call, Issei. I was going to say the same. Still, before you go…"

He pulled out several black bracelets with a faintly glowing sigil on each. "These are experimental control devices. They'll help you stabilize your Sacred Gears if things get unstable near Gasper. They'll also let you suppress his Sacred Gear if he loses control."

He handed one to Rias, who quickly distributed them.

"Thank you, Azazel," she said with a short bow.

"Just don't die. I'd hate to lose my test subjects before we even finish analyzing the data."

Rias rolled her eyes but ignored the jab, already preparing the teleportation spell.

"Exchange!" she commanded.

Her crimson aura flared brightly as her and her team vanished in a burst of scarlet light—teleporting straight to the old school building, where Gasper was likely being held.

The moment they disappeared, the sky above Kuoh erupted.

A streak of silver tore through the air, followed by a deafening sonic boom. Vali had launched himself into battle, his Balance Breaker armor shining like a comet of destruction.

Magicians screamed as their defensive formations shattered. One wave of his demonic blasts annihilated dozens, their bodies disintegrating mid-air before they even realized who they were facing. The White Dragon Emperor's power was terrifyingly elegant—swift, ruthless, and absolute.

"Tch… He's showing off again," Azazel muttered, a mix of pride and annoyance in his voice.

Before he could say more, a dark purple rift opened in the center of the room.

From the swirling void stepped a voluptuous woman with long, flowing lavender hair and eyes like deep violet poison. Her presence oozed arrogance and superiority.

"Oh my," she said mockingly, her lips curling into a cold smile. "To think the leaders of Heaven, Hell, and the Fallen would gather in one place. Such a convenient opportunity."

Azazel's eyes narrowed. "Katerea Leviathan…"

"Indeed," she said proudly, extending her hand toward them as black energy gathered in her palm. "Descendant of the original Leviathan and rightful ruler of the oceans of hell. The false peace you all built sickens me. I will burn it down, starting with this farce of an alliance."

Azazel chuckled, his black wings spreading wide as lightning danced along his gauntlet. "You talk too much for someone who's about to get their ass kicked."

Katerea's expression twisted with fury. "Insolent Fallen!"

The two collided, energy bursting outward in a blinding flash. The shockwave shattered nearby furniture, forcing Michael and Sirzechs to raise barriers instantly.

"Let's go, Irina!" I shouted, already channeling my power.

"Right!" Irina drew her sword, her wings spreading as she smiled brightly despite the chaos. "Let's show them Heaven's still got some fight left!"

We both leapt into the air, bursting through the window to face the swarming magicians outside. Dozens of them had bypassed the outer barrier using teleportation spells, and the courtyard had turned into a battlefield.

I grabbed one by the collar mid-air and slammed him into another, their protective wards shattering like glass. Energy bullets flew around us, lighting up the sky.

Irina dove through the chaos, her sword gleaming with holy light, slicing through the enemy lines with precision. "This feels like an anime battle!" she laughed over the roar of explosions.

"Because it is one!" I shouted back, firing off a boosted punch that sent a wave of crimson energy through ten enemies at once.

Meanwhile, inside the meeting room, Grayfia stood calmly amid the shaking walls. Her silver eyes scanned the glowing sigils still hanging in the air from the teleportation spells the magicians had used.

"These magic circles… their structure is distorted, layered with dimensional interference," she murmured, her fingers tracing invisible runes. "They're not just teleportation circles—they're gateways connected to another realm."

Michael approached her side. "Can you identify the source?"

Grayfia's eyes gleamed. "Yes. I can do that."
