Chapter 259 - Chapter 259: The Clash

As Ace spoke, Crobat shot out like a phantom, the toxic liquid forming on its body beginning to condense.

While Crobat flew at high speed, a Poison Fang condensed into shape and, with the flapping of its wings, plunged rapidly towards the Team Plasma members below.

"It's poison! Dodge it quickly!"

The Poison Fang wasn't as fast as they expected. Seeing it fall toward them, they all scattered to avoid being struck by the potent toxin.

But was the Poison Fang simple?

Of course not!

The instant the spherical Poison Fang hit the ground, its surface immediately became uneven and jagged. A fraction of a second later, the Poison Fang exploded!

"Bang!"

Poisonous liquid scattered along with toxic crystals, the force of which was comparable to high-velocity bullets.

Many Team Plasma members didn't have time to react, their bodies instantly pierced by the toxic crystals.

Those with good luck were hit directly in a vital spot and lost their lives before they could even register what happened.

Those with bad luck were struck by the toxic crystals, which were instantly absorbed by their bodies. An excruciating pain, unbearable to humans, spread from the wound and traveled along their blood vessels, slowly consuming the victim's body.

The victims were utterly powerless to resist. The poison itself contained a paralyzing effect, leaving the afflicted with no choice but to watch in despair as they slowly approached death, their bodies and minds completely consumed by terror.

A single strike from Crobat's Poison Fang instantly eliminated about half of the Team Plasma members.

The remaining, lucky members looked at the scene of agonizing screams, as if they had fallen into hell. The color drained from their faces, leaving them terrifyingly pale!

Adding to their despair, the Crobat in the sky had already condensed another Poison Fang and was aiming directly at them.

"Use Steel-type Pokémon!"

Someone roared, prompting the desperate Team Plasma members to quickly snap out of their shock.

Right!

Steel types are immune to Poison-type attacks!

In an instant, Steel-type Pokémon were released one after another, forming an iron torrent.

Several flying Skarmory and Magnezone rushed towards Crobat, attempting to take it down immediately!

Facing the Steel-type encirclement, Crobat showed disdain. The Poison Fang was launched instantly.

A Magnezone met the attack, using its own body to shield against the Poison Fang.

"Bang!"

The Poison Fang struck the Magnezone and exploded. A powerful air current assaulted it, and the Magnezone was instantly blasted away. The weakened Poison Fang dissolved into a shower of toxic rain, drizzling down.

Ace gave a slight, cold smile at the sight.

Crobat's Toxic Wings had been improved continuously by both himself and Crobat, nearing perfection.

It was integrated with both offense and defense, but more importantly, during the previous battle with Pryce, Ace had witnessed the effect of Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire colliding with Lugia's Aeroblast, instantly giving him insight into a new attack method for Crobat.

Through the unremitting effort of Crobat, it successfully compressed the airflow inside the Poison Fang, forming a stable state.

However, the cost of this was that the Poison Fang's attack speed was extremely slow—slow enough that practically anyone could dodge it.

But was that important?

No!

The terror of the Poison Fang lay in the secondary damage from the secondary explosion, where the compressed airflow scattered the poisonous liquid and toxic crystals inside.

Its power was clear for all to see.

This move was only suitable for group attacks; it was practically useless for single combat.

If this were a game, this move's accuracy would probably be only 5 points. Only an idiot would use it in a one-on-one fight.

Ghetsis dodged the poisonous rain, deeply aware that he had kicked a steel plate.

However, the conflict had already begun, and he had no retreat.

Zekrom and Kyurem were Pokémon they absolutely had to obtain. The conflict between them and Ace was a matter of life and death!

"Blizzard!"

Ghetsis flung a Poké Ball. Vanilluxe appeared and immediately unleashed a swirling, full-blown Blizzard toward Ace and his Pokémon.

Faced with the Ice-type attack, all of Ace's Pokémon looked surprised.

They weren't surprised by the Ice-type attack itself, but rather that someone would dare use an Ice-type attack against Ace.

After Pryce's death, Ace gained all of his legacy, making his understanding of the Ice type virtually ceiling-level.

Ghetsis using an Ice-type Pokémon in front of Ace was like bringing an axe to an expert lumberjack—pure suicide!

"Metagross, Flash Cannon."

Ace spoke calmly. Metagross understood Ace's intention, opening its mouth sharply to unleash a high-intensity energy beam that swiftly penetrated the Blizzard and accurately struck Vanilluxe.

With a single hit, Vanilluxe was instantly defeated.

Ghetsis was stunned, finding it unbelievable that his Vanilluxe had been defeated so quickly, with the opponent even breaking through the Blizzard in a single strike.

"Garchomp, assist Crobat."

Ace paid little attention to the downed Vanilluxe. Instead, he instructed Garchomp to support Crobat.

Crobat, though unafraid of facing so many Steel-type Pokémon alone, was currently being pinned down.

Garchomp instantly charged out, delivering a flying kick that slammed hard into a Skarmory.

The moment it made contact with Skarmory, a tremor erupted from Garchomp's foot—a point-blank Earthquake exploding through Skarmory's body!

"Crunch!"

Instantly, the Skarmory's metallic body shattered, blood splattering out. After a cry of despair, Garchomp spun around, tore off one of its wings with a Dragon Claw, and the bird plummeted toward the ground.

Garchomp tossed the wing, still encased in metal, into its mouth and began to chew loudly.

A bird Pokémon?

Sorry, it's perfectly on Garchomp's menu!

It glanced at the Steel-type Pokémon on the ground below, a ferocious grin appearing on its face.

In the next moment, Garchomp plummeted toward the ground.

Its descent accelerated rapidly, faster and faster, until the friction between its body and the air created an ear-splitting whistle.

"Watch out!"

Ghetsis's pupils contracted as he watched Garchomp's dive. He roared, "It's trying to commit suicide!"

But Ghetsis spoke too late. The moment he finished shouting, Garchomp crashed into the ground!

"BOOM!"

Like a missile exploding instantly, the ground shattered, and the ashes from the violent explosion shot dozens of meters into the sky.

But along with the blast, the entire earth shook violently. A fierce Earthquake instantly radiated outwards from Garchomp's point of impact, tearing the surrounding land into fragments!
