Li De laughed heartily. "This is your chance to prove your capability.
How's the formation of my trident coming along? Are there any problems that need solving?"
The Professional Player Division, the Data Analysis Division, and a Game Merchant Guild, this was the 'trident' he had crafted in the early phase.
Though it didn't look powerful now, that was only because the game hadn't officially launched yet. There was no real need for large-scale departments at this stage.
The framework just needed to be set up. Once the game launched, it wouldn't be too late to expand.
At the mention of business, Zhao Yue's expression turned serious.
"Everything is progressing smoothly for now. We've recruited a large number of professional players from esports schools, and the number of pros has exceeded 400."
With the rapid growth of the gaming industry, professional players were no longer considered idle or unmotivated by parents. It had become a legitimate career.
Most pro players earned salaries comparable to regular office workers. Only the star players could command six-figure or even seven-figure salaries, just like senior executives in companies, and they weren't common.
So supporting 400 professional players posed no real burden to Crimson Moon.
"As for the Data Analysis Center, with your heavy investment, a third of it is already completed. It's expected to be fully operational before Glory launches.
In terms of personnel, the center currently has 300 employees. If needed, we can double that within two months."
"As for the Game Merchandise Trading Center, it currently has 100 people. Since Glory hasn't launched yet, most of them are still working in other games, but they can be reassigned quickly when needed."
Li De nodded. These were all early-stage talent reserves. Once the game launched, he would recruit heavily to wage war in Glory.
After all, this so-called game wasn't really just a game.
"Have you found any experienced executives in managing player guilds?"
Zhao Yue smiled confidently. "We have five candidates, and three of them are in active talks."
"Excellent. Make that a top priority. Once Glory launches, we're definitely forming a large-scale guild, and we'll need professionals to run it."
Li De was quite satisfied with Zhao Yue's work. He then chatted with the mature vice president for more than an hour, reviewing all of Crimson Moon's recent affairs.
He now had a much better grasp of the faction he rarely managed, and his vision for future development had become clearer.
Li De's role for Crimson Moon was to integrate Earth's power to provide him with intelligence and player support in Glory. Its influence would only grow with time.
After wrapping up administrative matters, Li De called over Liu Fei, head of the Data Analysis Division.
Liu Fei, a balding man in his thirties who looked more like he was in his forties, was a top expert in the data division. With outstanding professional ability, he had earned Li De's appreciation.
"President Li, President Zhao."
Liu Fei was dressed sharply, a plaid shirt paired with a suit, and his black leather shoes gleamed.
His programmer outfit brought a knowing smile to Li De's face. He reached out and took out several blueprints, which included not only illustrations but also detailed data, such as that for the Whispering Bat, alchemical bombs, steel parameters, and more.
"This is a large-scale task I received in Glory. I need to design a piece of equipment for an NPC's magical beast that can carry alchemical bombs."
He then explained in detail the requirements for the Whispering Bat to carry alchemical bombs.
"Your Data Analysis Division needs to create a model and conduct research. You must design a perfect payload system.
If you can't find a solution or run into a roadblock, feel free to reach out externally, even contact university professors in aerodynamics or experienced engineers to join the research.
I'm authorizing a budget of ten million. If that's not enough, more can be added."
Although the goblins and dwarves were already working on the design of the bomb-loading armor, Li De wasn't planning to just wait on them. He had decided to leverage Earth's resources to participate in the development.
This time was different from previous projects, he had detailed data on both the Whispering Bats and the alchemical bombs. And when it came to bomb deployment research and flight equipment manufacturing, Earth's technical reserves were far more advanced than Glory's.
After all, that was a world of magic, where all thinking leaned toward the arcane. Earth, by contrast, was a world of science and relied on technology to solve problems.
The difference between the two was simple: one had to make sense, the other didn't.
Glory's logic was: if something doesn't work, bring in a higher-level blacksmith, enchant it with stronger magic, and brute-force it until it works. If it still doesn't work, then clearly the magic level isn't high enough, not that the concept itself is flawed.
Earth's logic was based on science. If it doesn't work, then the method is wrong, so try another one.
Both systems had their strengths and weaknesses, but Li De intended to take the best from both and merge them.
At most, it would just cost him some money, and right now, money was the one thing he wasn't lacking, even with all his expenditures.
The air force of Dawn City was too important. No amount of investment would be excessive, it was entirely worth it.
"If you run into any unavoidable problems during the design process that can't be solved on Earth, remember that Glory is a world of magic, talk to me first.
If something can't be done here, maybe it can be resolved through magic over there."
Liu Fei nodded, carefully studying the detailed portrait diagrams and various data on the Whispering Bat spread across the table.
A few moments later, this expert from the technical department spoke with confidence.
"President Li, if it's just designing a piece of equipment that can deploy bombs, it shouldn't be too difficult. But once we finish the initial design, if you can give us immediate data feedback, we can keep refining it for perfection."
"No problem. My assistant Cheng Lu will be your point of contact for this project," Li De said as he turned to Cheng Lu, who had been calmly and attentively listening to the conversation beside Zhao Yue.
He had just chatted briefly with the round-faced girl and found her to leave a good impression, cheerful personality, broad-minded, and most importantly, she came highly recommended by Zhao Yue. So he had already decided to appoint her as his assistant.
"Cheng Lu, this task will be yours to follow up on. You'll report to me every day at noon, twelve o'clock.
President Zhao, from now on, unless it's something urgent, please contact me between twelve and one o'clock daily."
After some thought, Li De decided to establish a fixed window to communicate with Earth.
Lately, Crimson Moon had played a key role, whether in the process of magic refinement or guiding players into the battle for Risel City, its influence had risen significantly in his mind.
Reserving one hour per day on Earth was equivalent to emerging from Glory once every three days, a manageable frequency.
Back when his body wasn't yet adapted, he used to return to Earth every day just to handle physiological needs.
"Understood, President Li."
After a brief meeting, Li De stayed at Crimson Moon for several more hours and eventually left with the rest of the employees at the end of the workday.
