"AAAAHHH!!!" Amnael let out a blood-curdling scream as his Life Points plummeted to zero.
As the fierce winds lashed out, Alexis Rhodes hurriedly grabbed her skirt to prevent herself from being exposed.
The golden light in You Feng's eyes slowly faded away.
"You Feng... promise me, when the battle against the Sacred Beasts comes, I want to deal with them personally." Suddenly, Holactie's voice rang out.
You Feng paused for a moment before nodding. "No problem. I promise you."
Holactie lowered her head and gave You Feng a light kiss, then returned to the depths of his soul with a satisfied expression.
You Feng then brought Professor Banner into the Name of the Wind organization. Although the Professor was supposed to turn to ash after his defeat, You Feng placed him within the Name of the Wind, allowing his soul to survive as a speck of light. Once the Original World descended, he would be resurrected.
"We need to leave this place quickly..." You Feng took the Millennium Book and then approached Alexis, picking her up in a horizontal carry.
"You Feng..." Alexis gasped, only then realizing she was being held firmly in his arms.
"We'll talk once we're out. Save your strength," You Feng said quickly.
Alexis blinked and said nothing more, though her heart was pounding fiercely.
"Have they all come out yet?" Alexis asked urgently once they reached the outside.
"The Millennium Book has been breached. They should appear in other locations as well." You Feng set Alexis down.
"Sss..." Alexis suddenly hissed, drawing in a sharp breath of cold air because of an injury on her calf.
"Are you hurt?" You Feng asked, frowning.
"I just scraped it accidentally, it's nothing major," Alexis said, shaking her head quickly.
"It's already late into the night. I didn't expect that entering the ruins this morning would take up so much time. The girls' dormitory closes at ten; you won't be able to get back in now, will you?" You Feng asked suddenly.
"I..." Alexis realized he was right. At this hour, the dormitory manager would already be asleep, and no one would be there to open the door.
"Come to my place first so I can treat that wound." Without another word, You Feng picked her up again and began walking toward his own dormitory.
"To your dormitory?" Alexis suddenly grew nervous. She was afraid that by going there, she might treat one wound only to end up with another.
"Why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?" You Feng asked with a chuckle.
"No..." Alexis quickly turned her head away, but her heart continued to race.
As the two of them departed, a pair of eyes watched them from the darkness of the night, eyes that made one instinctively shudder.
"The Egyptian Gods... truly a legendary duelist. How interesting!"
A grim voice fell through the night, echoing continuously through the forest.
