"What kind of nonsense are you talking about? We'll never hand the Sacred Beasts over to you!" Jaden Yuki shouted.
"How naive and ignorant. I was the one who gave the Seven Spirit Keys to Sheppard in the first place," Kagemaru replied. "My only goal was to force you to duel the Shadow Riders. If none of you could gather the keys, it would only prove that the world is regressing. But now that the matter has been settled, it is time for the Three Sacred Beasts to be reborn."
"Don't make your petty ambitions sound so noble," You Feng stepped forward, letting out a cold sneer. "The resurrection of the Three Sacred Beasts requires the constant stimulation provided by the will of powerful duelists. That is why you handed the Seven Spirit Keys to Chancellor Sheppardto continuously lure in strong duelists and prepare for this very moment."
"You mean... we were being used from the very beginning?" Alexis Rhodes said, her voice thick with anger.
"Then to crush your ambitions, I'll be your opponent!" Zane Truesdale declared, stepping out with a sharp wave of his hand.
"No! This battle belongs to me!" Chazz Princeton barked. "The Chazz will not allow a man like this to exist!"
"Wait! I should be the one to end this!" Atticus Rhodes added hurriedly.
"Do not waste your breath," Kagemaru said, dismissing them entirely as he locked his gaze on You Feng. "My only target is You Feng. The rest of youeven Jaden Yuki with his spirit powersare inferior to him. Dueling you would be utterly meaningless."
Zzzzt!
Suddenly, a surge of electricity crackled between the seven stone pillars, encircling everyone in a cage of lightning.
"If you refuse to duel me, this island will sink the moment I leave," Kagemaru threatened.
As Kagemaru's voice trailed off, the machine's robotic arms slotted the Three Sacred Beast cards into his deck.
"You're overthinking it. Dueling you is exactly what I wanted," You Feng said, drawing his Divine God Duel Disk. "I want to see for myself which are truly superior: the Three Egyptian Gods or the Three Sacred Beasts!"
"Then let this Shadow Duel begin!" Kagemaru growled.
"Gladly!" The golden wing patterns on You Feng's forehead began to spread, and a brilliant light shimmered in his eyes, revealing golden pupils.
When You Feng reopened his eyes, that golden gaze sent a chill down the spines of those watching.
"It's my turn, draw!" You Feng pulled a card.
"I set one monster in face-down defense position and set two cards before ending my turn."
Kagemaru frowned. The boy is indeed strange. His aura changed so drastically in a single instant. No wonder he could defeat the Shadow Riders so easily.
"It is my turn, draw!" Kagemaru pulled his card.
"I choose to set three trap cards from my hand!" Kagemaru said calmly.
"What is he thinking? He's telling us exactly what he set?" Alexis Rhodes muttered, her brow furrowing in confusion.
"And now, I tribute the three trap cards on my field to special summon the first Sacred Beast from my handUria, Lord of Searing Flames!" Kagemaru roared.
Immediately, the three set cards flipped up and dissolved as a pillar of fire erupted into the sky. The spectacle was so magnificent that it rivaled the arrival of an Egyptian God.
A crimson dragon, bearing a striking resemblance to Slifer the Sky Dragon, manifested on the field. You Feng had to admit that the likeness was uncanny; only a careful observer could tell them apart.
