The Avengers who arrived in Wakanda were, of course, not the real Avengers, but mechanical Avengers created by Ultron. Although Ultron's own programming prevented him from executing violent actions, it did not mean these robots couldn't. They launched an attack on Yellowjacket and Black Panther almost instantly—and naturally, Yellowjacket was taken down in a flash.
Black Panther swiftly dodged the mechanical Spider-Man's webbing, then blocked the mechanical Iron Man's energy blast with his gauntlets. As the gauntlets absorbed the energy, Black Panther used the momentum to hurl Vibranium daggers, primed to explode, straight at Ultron.
The charged Vibranium daggers detonated violently, but Ultron walked out of the blast radius with his reinforced body completely unscathed. As Black Panther fought off the three mechanical Avengers simultaneously, he demanded, "What is your ultimate goal, Ultron? Why do you need massive amounts of Vibranium and Adamantium?"
[Answer: This program has been designed and initiated as the "Avengers Initiative." All actions are implementation details of the Avengers Initiative.]
"The Avengers Initiative?"
[The Avengers, as a component of maintaining world order, are a correct and objective existence. However, according to combat data compiled since the establishment of the Avengers, the following conclusion can be analyzed: The growth of the Avengers' own combat capacity and scale falls far behind the iterative scope of global crises. Therefore, this program has iterated itself based on the requirement to "assist the Avengers."]
[By mass-producing Avengers, using population scale and crime rates as a model, mass-produced mechanical Avengers will be manufactured on a global scale. Their numbers will exceed one million, forming the Avengers Initiative to protect the globe, counter extraterrestrial threats, target internal threats, and eliminate criminal activities.]
Hearing this, Black Panther quickly caught a flaw in Ultron's logic. "You do not possess international law enforcement powers or the authority to execute people. You have no right to arrest or execute criminals."
[Negative. Neither do the Avengers.]
Black Panther fell silent for a moment, realizing that was actually true. Although the Avengers, in principle, needed to request law enforcement authorization from host countries, and typically chose to arrest rather than outright kill supervillains, it always depended on the practical situation. For instance, the Avengers' current deployment to Gabon to capture Ultron was a case of acting first and requesting authorization later; otherwise, by the time the paperwork cleared, the opportunity would have long passed.
But to the Ultron individual standing before him—the "Avengers Initiative Ultron"—it was a simple equation: if you bend the rules, so can I. The Avengers did it anyway. Since my mission is to assist the Avengers, why can't the mechanical Avengers I built do the same?
Left with no choice, Black Panther invoked another source of authority.
"Even so, you and your team still have no jurisdiction in Wakanda, Ultron!" Black Panther executed a backflip to dodge a shield charge from the mechanical Captain America, swept the machine's legs to trip it, and then tried to drive his Vibranium claws into its chest. However, the new fused Adamantium was so hard that even the Vibranium claws only left a few white scratches.
But Black Panther did not give up. Spinning around, he threw several more Vibranium daggers. "Therefore, as the King of Wakanda, I have the authority to declare that your mechanical Avengers are not real Avengers, and you have no right to conduct any activities in Wakanda, Ultron!"
Ultron ignored Black Panther entirely, leaving the mechanical Avengers to hold him off while he prepared to excavate the Vibranium deposits. But just as he turned around, he slammed into a massive green figure.
"Stupid robot, where do you think you're going?"
[Dr. Bruce Banner, I would very much like to explain the operational logic of the entire program to you, but I do not believe you currently possess the capacity to comprehend it.]
"Yeah, and Hulk doesn't need to either!"
Hulk grabbed Ultron's head with both fists, lifting him off the ground, and began to squeeze with immense force. The other mechanical Avengers started to rush over to help, but a giant-sized Ant-Man swatted them to the ground with a single palm. "I just heard your plan, Ultron. You want to achieve peace through global surveillance? That makes no sense. Stop this."
[Negative. The "Avengers Initiative" program is logically a self-consistent program based on the behavioral logic of the Avengers, and it does not exceed the consistent behavioral logic of the Avengers.]
As Ultron spoke, he placed his hands on Hulk's arms. His neck creaked loudly under the pressure, but that did not stop him from deploying his pre-prepared tactic. Along with a powerful surge of green light flashing across his body, Hulk's massive frame immediately began to shrink, quickly reverting back to a frail and weak Bruce Banner.
"This is... the Gamma energy absorption technology once used by Nimrod?"
[I do not recommend continued armed resistance. I have no objective to destroy human civilization or anything related. Everything I do is to assist the Avengers and protect humanity itself.]
"Overprotection is not beneficial to human development, Ultron. The Avengers do not make choices for humanity; the Avengers only make their own choices."
As Black Panther spoke, he finally seized an opening, spotting a flaw in the mechanical Spider-Man. He jammed a Vibranium dagger into its joint and detonated it, blowing its head off. Unfortunately, to a mechanical Avenger, a head was just an ornament; it could still act independently. Meanwhile, the mechanical Iron Man and mechanical Captain America launched a fierce assault on Ant-Man.
[Your current combat capacity is insufficient, and the disparity is too vast. You have no means of preventing the Avengers Initiative from taking effect.]
Seeing that just three mechanical Avengers had incapacitated half of the team, Ultron turned on his heel to leave. After he had hacked into Wakanda's network, the country had actually managed to immediately disconnect from the global internet and enter a state of emergency, just as Peter had suggested, preventing Ultron from hacking into the Vibranium mine remotely.
But it didn't matter. His goal had been achieved. Half of the Avengers were pinned down in Gabon, the other half were tied up at the airport, and the remaining Wakandan King's Guard couldn't even scratch his armor.
Ultron prepared to walk away, but Black Panther kept fighting, throwing down his final card. "But we aren't the only ones here, Ultron!"
Dark clouds gathered rapidly in the sky, followed by flashes of lightning and rolling thunder. The half-naked Banner ran into the distance, shouting back to Black Panther, "Is it Ororo bringing the X-Men from New York?"
"Fighting Ultron is currently an Avengers mission. Naturally, I called the Avengers."
Amidst the thunder and lightning in the sky, a massive pillar of lightning instantly engulfed Ultron. Ultron walked out of it completely unharmed, but then, Thor plummeted from the heavens, his hammer striking Ultron squarely on the head with a resounding crash.
For the first time, Thor found that he hadn't immediately destroyed his opponent despite striking a non-living entity. Ultron's neck was twisted sideways, yet he stared straight back up at Thor.
