Long Shuying, the Celestial Empress of the Golden Moon, and Su Binglian, the Celestial Empress of the Ice Lotus.
One was the Dao companion of the Immortal Golden Dragon Emperor, leader of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance.
The other was the wife of the Divine Blacksmith, one of the oldest and most legendary experts in the entire Orthodox world.
But they were not merely the wives of great men. They were legends in their own right.
In the last Great Demon-Orthodox War, the Celestial Empress of the Golden Moon became famous for single-handedly facing twenty demonic Celestial Emperors and holding them all at bay for ten full years.
The Celestial Empress of the Ice Lotus, on the other hand, became famous for freezing a gigantic sector of the Celestial Heaven, trapping ten demonic armies at once.
They were born into war and lived through war.
When they finally retired, all they wanted was a peaceful life raising their children.
Unfortunately, the universe was cruel to them.
