It was a dark night, and the Blue Tower was silent, except for a man's voice and the faint whimpering of a child.
"You shouldn't have been born. I knew it, your mother knew it. She should have killed you in the womb." A hoarse, powerful voice echoed as a man leaned toward a little girl.
The girl had short blue hair and eyes of the same color. From her appearance, she was no more than twelve years old.
"Yet here you are, alive and breathing. I offered riches to your mother, sent her away, avoided staining my hands with the blood of my own flesh. I truly hoped never to see you again."
The man's voice hardened, clearly filled with hatred.
Tears streamed down the little girl's face, but he didn't care.
"However, you've returned. You've shown your talent to the Blue Tower and risen as a disciple of that damned Ice Mage. I have no problem with that, but..." The man gritted his teeth, ripping a necklace from the girl's neck.
It was gold, colored by small blue gems.
