"Lingxi, have you already gotten the dress Meilin made for you all dirty?" Rouxi asked with a soft laugh.
Her eyes fell on her daughter.
The little one was clutching a piece of roasted beef, her tiny teeth greedily tearing off one chunk after another. Grease dripped down her chin and onto her dress, which no longer had a single clean spot left on it.
At the sound of her mother's voice, she let go of the meat for a moment, waved a greasy little hand, and babbled something adorable in reply, as if that explained everything.
The next second, she was biting into it again.
