"Begin the test, Challengers. Be wary of those around you. Don't trust anyone easily."

Instructor Frostwolf's words were the truth, yet they made even more people wary.

"Damn it, this instructor is really instigating everyone here to kill each other!" Qingwu muttered to himself.

Qingwu also saw the full scope of the testing equipment—a large nano-testing robot.

This nano-testing robot was about three meters tall. Its head was composed of screens, and its belly was the target attack area. One had to hit the robot's belly to score points.

Under the arrangement of the Team Rocket robots, everyone lined up and took turns testing.

"Weezing, use Self-Destruct!" A Challenger holding a Weezing gave the command to his Weezing.

"What a pity," Qingwu sighed. After Weezing self-destructs, it would be left with a sliver of health.

The base was no charity; it wouldn't actively help restore a Pokémon's stamina, which meant a grim fate for the Challengers.

One could only say that self-destructing was satisfying for a moment, but it would lead to total ruin later.

The honest-looking Weezing flew near the testing robot's belly, its body swelling violently, glowing and heating up.

When the Weezing completely turned into white light, there was a loud bang, creating a huge cloud of smoke.

The instrument immediately displayed a power value of 120.

"Power value 120." The Team Rocket auxiliary robot immediately recorded the Challenger's data. The Challenger was ecstatic.

However, he didn't see Instructor Frostwolf's cold gaze. Using Self-Destruct to gain power value was the most foolish method.

This Challenger also set a bad example, and several subsequent Challengers with Weezing made their Weezing self-destruct.

One Challenger even achieved a good score of 150 power value by self-destructing their Weezing, temporarily ranking first.

Qingwu watched the spectacle unfold. The more excited they were now, the more tragic it would be later.

"Number 112, power value 67."

"Number 115, power value 121."

One Challenger after another was tested, each with a different expression.

Some even damaged their Pokémon's foundations to get high scores, which they would regret for a lifetime.

Everyone was acting crazy, desperately trying to outperform others. Qingwu observed the lively atmosphere and felt something was very wrong.

It seemed to be encouraging Challengers to use any means necessary, just for a score.

"Power value, 200."

A young lady with gorgeous blue hair, wearing an oddly colored Zubat, used Cyclone Blade to take the current first place.

Qingwu's eyes widened. He remembered that this Challenger was the one who ultimately broke through the encirclement and earned the right to choose an Azure Aptitude Pokémon.

"This time, the Azure Aptitude Pokémon will be mine, and you will always be beneath me," Qingwu thought calmly, raising an eyebrow.

Next, a young man with a cold expression, manipulating an Ekans, achieved a good score of 210.

The young man's vacant eyes swept over the crowd, and he leisurely walked away with his Ekans.

This otaku-like young man was not simple. Qingwu recognized him as the future Poison-type Elite Four Member.

He always liked to look at his opponents with yellow snake eyes, a master of poison, skilled in using Snake Pokémon.

For example, Arbok, Seviper, Sandaconda, Serperior, and so on.

By the time it was Qingwu's turn, it was already late in the test. Qingwu's number was 255.

Qingwu watched his Zubat flap its wings, surrounded by countless air currents, knowing that Zubat had adjusted itself.

Qingwu gave his Zubat only one command.

"Zubat, use Quick Attack!"

Indeed, with the tailwind, Zubat's body was also larger than a normal Zubat.

Therefore, under Quick Attack, Zubat's speed would reach an extreme.

Zubat flew high into the sky, using gravity acceleration, Quick Attack, and the tailwind, and swooped down directly towards the instrument's position.

The Challengers only saw a flash of white light, and then the instrument displayed 245, which was the highest score so far.

"Number 255, power value 245, highest score in the entire arena, temporarily ranked first." The Team Rocket auxiliary robot announced the final result.

This result left everyone present in disbelief.

"How can a simple Quick Attack have such great power?"

"Isn't this cheating?"

"How can this Zubat have such destructive power?"

Everyone was discussing animatedly, and some had a glint in their eyes, as if they were unconvinced by the score.

"Silence! The instrument is not malfunctioning; this score is valid." Instructor Frostwolf declared.

Everyone present immediately fell silent, watching in disbelief as Qingwu calmly returned his Zubat to its Poké Ball.

It took a moment for everyone to understand why Zubat had achieved such a score.

It was simply the clever use of high altitude and gravity acceleration, which gave Zubat more power value.

Although everyone understood Qingwu's small trick, there were not many Challengers left behind Qingwu.

Some Challengers were lost in thought, while others were so anxious they burst into tears. All kinds of emotions could appear in this trial base.

However, more Challengers considered Qingwu's method to be a petty trick, and so Qingwu received many scornful glances.

Qingwu didn't care about other people's opinions. If he did, he would have long been swallowed by this man-eating trial base.

So the final results were as follows:

First place, number 255, power value: 245

Second place, number 118, power value 210

Third place, number 88, power value 200

...

Qingwu was already calculating what he could exchange with his upcoming 500 points.

After the ranking ended, each Challenger received a special wristband with a red 'R' logo.

They also received a Challenger Card, unique to Challengers, with their respective numbers on it.

The wristband was made of nanometer material and contained an internal storage space of roughly one cubic meter.

Six red and white standard Poké Balls were also embedded on the wristband, which could be detached with a flick of the finger.

The Challenger Card could be used for point transactions and point redemption, essentially serving as a payment method among Challengers.

After the assembly concluded, Qingwu walked directly to the Point Exchange Office.

For Qingwu, who was once a member of Team Rocket, he knew exactly where the exchange office was.

Moreover, the Team Rocket Point Exchange Office was the entire Team Rocket's warehouse, containing everything imaginable.

Even a large airship could be conjured, as long as enough Team Rocket points were paid.

Qingwu had many things he wanted to exchange for this time, and they were all very fragmented. Most importantly, he needed a special alloy for Aron to consume.

This was crucial for increasing Aron's overall metal strength.

Qingwu arrived at the exchange office, and a Team Rocket member handed him a tablet listing the items currently available for exchange.

Qingwu recalled the exorbitant price of Quasi-legendary Pokémon again; an Aron with no aptitude evaluation cost ten million points.

Any Pokémon linked to a Quasi-legendary Pokémon cost ten million points to exchange.

Slightly stronger Pokémon cost several million points.

Qingwu also saw a Green Aptitude Aron, with an exchange price of three and a half million points.

Qingwu felt very lucky to have encountered Green Aptitude Pokémon.

Whether it was Rattata or Caterpie, none of their exchange prices were below one million points.

It was evident that Team Rocket itself was severely lacking in Green Aptitude Pokémon.
