Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: Homika of the Hip Hop Team

Camerupt's current level is only 20, which is simply tickling a level 40 Groudon.

"Come back, Camerupt," Ash recalled Camerupt.

Since this Groudon was so fierce, he couldn't let Groudon develop here. If this Groudon became a menace, more trainers would suffer.

"Come out, Crobat," Crobat flapped its wings, fanning up a storm. The meter-tall grass flattened on the ground.

Groudon squinted its eyes from the storm, then slowly opened its mouth. Countless bird-like chirps emanated from Groudon's mouth. Bluish-purple electric arcs surrounded a thunder ball. The thunder ball quickly turned into countless thunder beads that rushed towards Crobat.

"Crobat, avoid it," Ash said softly. Crobat easily circled in the air, evading Groudon's Thunderbolt attack.

"Brave Bird Attack." Crobat originally used this move in the waterspout. Later, after being taught by the Dragonite leader, it trained for several days in the waterspout and successfully mastered this move.

However, Crobat's mastery was not deep enough. Ash saw Crobat take about ten seconds to gather an air armor on its body, then charge towards Groudon like a miniature bomber.

"The level of Crobat's Brave Bird Attack mastery still needs to be improved. If it's in a life-or-death battle, it'll easily be instantly killed by other Pokémon. Against Groudon, it's still barely a match," Ash thought contemplatively.

Among Team Magma's three executives, the best at using Flying-type Pokémon was Flannery. She would often use Mega Punch.

When Flannery used Brave Bird Attack, she would transform into a fire bird emitting burning flames all over her body, leaving trails of fire in the air. It was a beautiful sight. It was precisely because of this great Flannery that she earned the title Flannery.

Currently, Ash's strength was between Elite and Advanced-level. There was still a considerable distance from being a Gym Leader.

Groudon saw Crobat transform into a streak of white light and immediately spat out countless purple-black mud balls from its mouth. This was Mud Bomb. It would instantly explode upon hitting the target, releasing toxins hidden within the mud ball, and poisoning the target. It was a very practical Poison-type move.

But Groudon's move was useless. The power of Mud Bomb was easily pulverized by the air armor on Crobat's body.

Crobat heavily crashed into Groudon's body. Groudon's eyes widened.

Its stomach was violently struck. Countless yellowish gastric juices with a pungent odor burst out from Groudon's mouth, scattering onto the grass. Groudon's massive body swayed, then it groaned and whimpered.

Groudon was heavily sent flying, falling weakly onto the grass, completely unconscious.

"Go, Poké Ball," Ash threw a Poké Ball, but saw another Poké Ball also fly towards Groudon at the same time.

"Crobat," Ash whispered to Crobat. He saw Crobat transform into a streak of white light and slash past the Poké Ball.

This clearly distinct Poké Ball was cut in half and fell onto the grass.

A middle-aged man in camouflage walked out from the grass. "Kid, you're really bold, daring to steal my prey. But this Groudon came out of my trap. Do you understand who came first?"

The middle-aged man had a board-like face, covered in freckles. He looked at the Poké Ball that was cut in half on the ground, a pained expression in his eyes.

"Hunter Guild's?" Ash picked up the already caught Groudon, his expression blank as he asked.

Only the Hunter Guild had people who would hunt Pokémon in such public places.

Just now, he felt someone hidden nearby. As expected, with a slight test, they couldn't help but jump out.

"Kid, put down your Poké Ball, and hand over all your Pokémon. I'll spare your life."

The man in camouflage looked greedily at Ash's Pokémon, calculating how much money they could sell for in the black market.

"Do you think you can stop me?" Ash glanced at the man in camouflage disdainfully.

"If he doesn't have enough strength, plus us, the passage under this bridge is where our Groudon Team is stationed."

A teenager with long, colorful hair popped out from the grass. This teenager held a purple electric guitar in his hand, wore a hip-hop outfit, had a nose ring, and strange earrings hanging from his ears.

The hip-hop outfit and electric guitar were characteristic of the Hip Hop Team. Gas bombs floated beside them, emitting purple smoke.

"Old Homika, let's take this kid down together. We'll split the profits." The hip-hop youth said to the man in camouflage.

"Okay, but Homika, I want that Groudon. It was originally my pet. I want to reclaim my pet from the Hunter Guild." Old Homika heavily nodded and stated his demand.

It was clear that this wasn't their first collaboration; both knew each other's bottom line.

Ash heard the name "Homika" for the first time. He seemed to have heard this name before. Ash remembered something major happening in the Hoenn region related to Homika. What was it? Ash fell into thought, racking his brains trying to remember what had happened.

Old Homika was a three-star hunter from the Hunter Guild. That Groudon was originally Old Homika's mission, but Groudon managed to escape Old Homika's trap and fled here with its tribe.

The fleeing Groudon tribe had already been captured and placed in specialized iron cages by Old Homika. Old Homika, being a hunter, would naturally use Poké Balls to capture Groudon and not let Groudon escape.

"Recently, I don't know why, but the Hunter Guild has issued a large number of Pokémon capture missions. Now, the value of Groudon has risen quite a bit, not to mention evolved Groudon. Groudon can definitely sell for a good price," Old Homika said greedily.

Old Homika's words reminded Ash. Ash finally remembered where he had heard the name "Homika." This Homika was the Gym Leader of Taki City in the future Unova region. He was the brother of Homika,

who had the titles of Poison Mark Life and Poison Voice Live. He was a righteous and evil person who acted as he pleased. This Homika himself was an expert in poison, and he developed a combat tactic that used the sound of his electric guitar to give commands.

Homika was also a hidden Elite Four trainer in the Hoenn League. In the final action to stop Groudon, he was burned by Groudon's scorching magma and lost his life. However, the current Homika should not be that strong. Judging by the floating Gas Bombs around Homika, he was probably just an Elite Trainer.

"Everyone come out," Homika and his younger brothers released Camerupt and Muk. Their levels were also just over 30.

However, Old Homika's Pokémon surprised Ash. They were a level 40 Noctowl and a level 39 Girafarig.

This Old Homika was actually a Psychic-type trainer? Ash couldn't tell at all. Instead, his body was full of muscles. It was said that he was a Fighting-type expert, and everyone believed it.

Noctowl was a green owl. It had a pair of large white wings. The ends of its wings had red and blue stripes. Its neck was black, and the pattern on its chest resembled a pair of red eyes. It had two long red feathers behind its head. Its waist had two yellow stripes. Its claws were red, and the tips were white.

Girafarig was similar to a long-necked giraffe. Its front half was yellow, with faint stripes. Its head had horns. And its back half's color was the exact opposite of its front half. Girafarig's tail also had a small brain sack, which would react to smells and sounds and launch attacks.

Although the brain sack on its tail was too small to think, it didn't matter since it didn't sleep, so it would continuously monitor its surroundings 24 hours a day. When Girafarig was in danger, its tail would use incredible power to scare enemies away.

Although Ash was surrounded, he still appeared quite calm. "Not good, this person is trying to escape. Stop him!" Old Homika suddenly shouted loudly. Just as Noctowl and Girafarig were about to attack, Ash's body flashed with a faint blue light, and he instantly disappeared from his original spot.

"Damn it, how did he fly away like that?" The experienced hunter was very unwilling.

"Noctowl, do you know the exact coordinates of where that person just ran to? Can you track him?" Old Homika asked desperately.

Noctowl shook its head. Gardevoir used random teleportation. It didn't know where it had been teleported to. Moreover, when Gardevoir used its psychic ability to look into the future, it didn't see any trace of this person.

Clearly, this person had something on him that blocked Noctowl's senses.
