Chapter 528 - Chapter 528: Upsetting the entertainment companies

To say that Xer-verse was in chaos would be an understatement because right now it and the entertainment industry as a whole were in uproar over the recent Xer-verse posts of four hugely popular celebrities, three of which where divas.

[OfficialLorelie: Greetings, everyone. First off, I would like to thank all of you for the messages of encouragement you have sent me over the last few weeks regarding my New Genre tour within the Felidae Galaxy.

Now I have an important announcement to make. As of a few minutes ago, I have officially signed with Spector Entertainment and I am super excited to be working with them on projects to come in the future.

Make sure to wish me luck.]

[OfficialRowena: Greetings to all my loving fans, your favourite model is here with a big announcement. I am happy to announce that I have terminated my contract with Dynamic Entertainment and signed with Spector Entertainment.

I look forward to working with this new and very promising entertainment company and can't wait to start work on our first project together with Erkath Fashion.

Also, Erkath will moan at me if I don't remind you all that Earth Fashion is on sale now and that the Colour Change Earring is available to pre-order.]

[OfficialAphrodite: Hey there, my adoring fans. I am here with a special announcement that everyone in the adult entertainment industry will want to take note of.

I, as of just a few moments ago, have signed with the entertainment company, Spector Entertainment. Now I'm sure you're all shocked to hear this, but the owner of Spector Entertainment sees the value in us from the adult entertainment industry and so if you are interested in finally being able to sign with an entertainment company, I invite you to contact them.]

[OfficialKasumi: Hello everyone, Kasumi here and today I wish to inform you all about some amazing news. I have terminated my contract with Dynamic Entertainment and signed with Spector Entertainment. I look forward to this new chapter in my life and being able to work with three of the biggest divas in the universe will be a great honour.

Also, I'm sure you're all wondering about how this will affect me working with Erkath Fashion. Well, I'm happy to report that my contract deal with Erkath Fashion was for me personally and did not involve Dynamic Entertainment, so make sure to look forward to the results of our photoshoot.]

[... WTF, WTF, WTF, WTF, WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK!]

[... Yo, yo, yo, wtf is this? This is HUGE!]

[... Am I seeing things, or did four major celebrities just sign with an entertainment company I have never heard of?]

[... If you're seeing things, then so is everyone else on Xer-verse right now.]

[... What the fuck is Spector Entertainment and why have I never heard of them before?]

[... Diva Rowena did mention they were a new and promising entertainment company.]

[... With that star-studded line-up, how can they not be promising.]

[... How do you suppose the owner managed to do it?]

[... I was wondering the same thing. Diva Lorelie is the hottest celebrity in the universe right now, even if she wasn't signed with an entertainment company. But then you also have Diva Rowena and Kasumi, who both terminated their contracts early with Dynamic Entertainment in order to sign with this new company.]

[... The entertainment industry is going to be in uproar about this. Signing three divas right off the bat, something like that has never happened before.]

[... Why sign Diva Aphrodite, though? Entertainment companies normally shy away from those involved with the adult entertainment industry.]

[... I'm curious about that also, though she did say the owner of Spector Entertainment sees value in them.]

[... Her photoshoot for Earth fashion definitely shows value.]

[... Bro, I use those as my relief material every night.]

[... Damn bro, TMI.]

[... It's a bit of a risk signing Kasumi, though, isn't it? I mean, people are starting to say she's cursed or some shit.]

[... I don't know why people say that when she always performs at her best. It's her fellow actors that let the movie or holoshow down.]

Sector 8, Galaminer Galaxy, Dun Daruhm.

"Diva Rowena and Kasumi both terminated their contracts and joined this unknown competitor?" One of the Dwarfinians who sat around the boardroom's conference table asked.

"They must have planned this for some time. How is it that no one knew anything about this?" Another asked.

"Perhaps if the company wasn't in disarray thanks to your constant infighting," The Dwarfinian staff member who had just delivered the news muttered quietly.

"What was that?" One of the board members asked.

"Oh, nothing," The staff member replied.

"If you have nothing useful to say, then stay quiet," another board member said angrily.

"What does Kasumi mean in her post when she states that the contract for Erkath Fashion was for her personally and not Dynamic?" another asked before adding angrily, "Did any of you bother to read the agreement Erkath Fashion sent us?"

"Don't go accusing us when it's obvious that you didn't read it either."

"This is why none of you are suitable to take over the company," another remarked calmly with a smirk.

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"You're all overreacting over nothing and you can't even see it," the calm Dwarfinian replied before continuing, "Do you really think an entertainment company that's desperate enough to sign that slut Diva Aphrodite will last long?

Give it a few months at most and this Spector Entertainment will collapse, giving us the chance to not only resign Diva Rowena and Kasumi, but also Diva Lorelie."

"You make a good point for once," another of the Dwarfinian board members replied with a cunning smile.

"FUUCCCKKKKKK!" Drotas cursed angrily as she smashed her fist down on her desk after reading Xer-verse.

"What is wrong with those government bodies in the universal senate. Can't they see how that bitch Lorelie is going to be the real boss of Spector Entertainment?

Also, what's that fucking organisation playing at? Why haven't they killed her yet? I haven't even heard of any attempt being made on her life recently.

I'm surrounded by incompetence."

That evening, Lorelie began her New Genre tour within the Felidae Galaxy and for the next week, the group was constantly travelling from planet to planet for her shows.

As with her shows back in the Oasis Galaxy, Adam observed and listened as he patrolled the arena for any possible threats, while the rest of the group watched from one of the VIP boxes.

Eri was by far the most excited and nervous since she was a huge Lorelie fan and had never had the chance to sit in one of the VIP boxes at her shows before, let alone one she helped organise.

It's no surprise that every one of her shows sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale, but as with her shows in the Oasis Galaxy, Lorelie had made sure to request that each of the shows be broadcast live on the universal subspace network.

What thrilled her fans and angered the other entertainment companies was that Lorelie had decided to take a leaf out of Rowena's book and cause some chaos.

The norm for concerts within the known universe and as another way for the entertainment companies to make credits, was to allow those people who couldn't get tickets the chance to watch live on the universal subspace network for a small fee.

The small fee might have looked generous at first sight; however, if you take into account the number of people who paid said small fee in order to watch, especially for shows featuring divas, the entertainment companies were walking away with millions, if not billions, of extra credits for each show.

Lorelie was causing an upset by allowing people who could get tickets the ability to watch for free.

As a diva, she was well aware that even if she offered the show for free, many of her fans would still buy tickets for the chance to see her live on stage.

The other entertainment companies were cursing her since they knew that she had set a new precedent in the entertainment industry and from now on, the number of people willing to pay that small fee would drop significantly.

They had initially not paid any attention when she had done this in the Oasis Galaxy, since that was her home galaxy and they assumed she wanted to thank them for all their support.

Now, however, they feared that she would continue this trend in every galaxy her New Genre tour visited.
