[AUTHOR NOTE: If you haven't already, make sure to check out the novel I am releasing called Genesis Sync.]

"Alright kid, just calm down," the leader said nervously before turning to the doubter and ordering, "And you keep your trap shut."

"So what's it gonna be?" Adam asked.

"Alright, alright, I'll call him, I'll call Husan," the guard leader replied before fiddling with his uniband.

[Superherofangirl (Earth): I wonder if this is like how negotiations with real terrorists go?]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): It's easier to just shoot them in the head.]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): What if they're carrying a deadman switch.]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Oh, those fucking things.]

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Well, the streamer isn't carrying one, so I believe Gunlovergirl is saying that they should just shoot him and be done with it. Kekeke]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): I never said that you fucking idiot.]

"Shas, why are you calling?" Hunas asked as the call connected, his face appearing on a holographic screen above the guard leader's uniband.

"Hunas, tell me straight. Did you send one of your people out with a vial of Yliaster DX Six?" Shas, the guard leader, asked.

Hunas's eyes widened in surprise as he asked, "How do you know that?"

"You did?" Shas asked in surprise before yelling, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING, YOU DUMBASS?"

"Loud," Hunas complained as he covered his ears, causing his face to rotate strangely on the holographic screen.

"Stop complaining and tell me why the fuck you did something so stupid; you know how dangerous that stuff is," Shas retorted.

"The boss ordered its delivery ASAP and so I gave it to the only worker I had on hand who's from the main dome," Hunas replied before asking, "Why do you know about this?"

"Because the worker you sent just tried to pass through the security scanner while carrying the Yliaster DX Six," Shas retorted.

"The fuck?" Hunas asked in surprise before adding in disbelief, "why the fuck did the idiot try to use the cross-dome transport instead of the cargo one that goes directly to the boss's residence?"

"Because you didn't tell this idiot that there was such a thing," Adam complained.

"How don't you know? You work there?" Hunas asked as he heard Adam's complaint.

"I work in the main dome; I never said I work at the boss's residence," Adam retorted.

"Why the fuck didn't you mention that earlier?" Hunas cursed.

"Why the fuck didn't you ask instead of just assuming?" Adam cursed back.

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Wow, they're like a married couple bickering.]

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): His lovers better be careful that they ain't replaced. Kekeke.]

[OrangeeyedStace (Spector): Never gonna happen.]

[OfficialRowena (Spector): Agreed. You think his ass can compare to mine?]

[OfficialAphrodite (Spector): Can any ass compare to yours?]

[OfficialRowena (Spector): I appreciate the compliment.]

[OfficialLorelie (Spector): Ladies, focus. Adam still has his foot hovering over the Yliaster DX Six.]

[OrangeeyedStace (Spector): Ah, it's fine. He just has to make sure he raises his combat armour helmet before he stamps down.]

[OfficialLorelie (Spector): True, but what happens if that stuff gets into the ventilation system?]

[OrangeeyedStace (Spector): Oh shit, if that were to happen, the Yliaster DX Six could be spread to every single dome.]

[OfficialLorelie (Spector): Exactly. It would be a mass slaughter, including Fiere Lucent, whom Adam still needs to interrogate.]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Are you saying all the domes have interconnected atmospheric systems?]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Naturally, they have an atmospheric generator after all. Though I'm sure each dome has its own backup life support system for emergencies.]

"Fuck," Hunas cursed when he heard Adam's retort.

Shas frowned before asking, "So what you're telling me is this entire situation was caused because of a miscommunication?"

"Haha, yeah, our bad," Hunas replied.

"What do you mean, our bad?" Adam asked.

"You think this is a laughing matter?" Shas asked before continuing, "you know how many people could have been killed if that shot got loose?

We have procedures in place for moving dangerous shit like this for a reason."

"Ok, ok, I get it," Hunas replied before adding, "just send the kid back here; I will sort this shit."

"Fine by me, but don't cause another fuckup like this again," Shas reported.

"It might be fine with you, but did anyone ask for my opinion?" Adam stated.

"What?" Shas asked.

"Huh?" Hunas stated.

"I'm already here at the cross-dome transporter, yet you expect me to travel all the way back to the dock just because you forgot to tell me there was a quicker way?" Adam asked with a frown before continuing. "It would be easier if I just continued with the package from here, not to mention I would have to pay cab fare again. What sort of dystopian place is this where the boss makes her employees pay for their own cab fare?"

"Dystopian?" Shas asked in confusion.

[LadyErkath (Aqua Primus): Dystopian?]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): It's a society or state characterised by extreme misery, oppression, disease, and squalor.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Damn, that sounds fucked up.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): For once, I agree with the idiot above.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): What's that? You like being beneath me?]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Fuck off.]

"Listen here, kid, you're still working for me, so do what I tell you," Husan ordered in annoyance.

"Yeah, pass, I would rather not be held up by armed men because of your fuck up," Adam replied before looking at Shas and saying.

"I'm taking this and moving on. If you're so bothered about me releasing it, I suggest you inform security at the other end and get them to evacuate the station."

As he finished speaking, Adam picked up the small box again and began walking towards the guards, all of whom backed away while still aiming their weapons at him.

None of them made a move, however, as they took Shas's lack of response as a form of silent consent.

Once he had passed the guards, Adam quickly boarded one of the hover transports that was just about to depart.

"Why the fuck did you let him go?" Hunas asked after Adam was gone.

"Because I would rather not die due to your fuck up," Shas snapped.

"I saw how he had his foot hovering over the case, but you can't seriously think he would have gone through with it, right?" Husan asked.

"While I greatly appreciate your professional opinion when you're not even here, I'm going to ask you to be more careful in the future and not cause another fuck up like this again," Shas retorted before ending the call.

"What do we do, leader?" one of the guards asked.

"Contact the main dome's cross-dome transfer station; it's their problem now," Shas replied.

Galamedees Galaxy, Solarian Prime.

The Imperial Down dropped out of FTL above Solarian Prime.

"Helm, standard orbit," Captain Andria Ororis ordered.

"Standard orbit, aye." The helm officer replied a moment before the door to the bridge opened with a hiss.

Princess Tessa Terrana stepped onto the bridge, followed by Becky Starlover.

"Welcome to the bridge, Princess," Andria said politely as she looked towards the door.

"Thank you, Captain," Tessa replied before asking, "what's our status?"

"We have just dropped out of FTL and are entering standard orbit. We have yet to receive any communication from either the planet or our escort ships," Andria reported.

"Try hailing them," Tessa ordered.

"Communications," Andria ordered.

"No response," the communications officer replied after a few moments.

"Looks like they're trying to make things awkward for us," Becky stated with a frown.

"I wanted to do this properly, but if they want to play it that way," Tessa stated with a sigh before glancing at Becky and nodding.

Becky smirked before walking towards the communications console.

"Becky?" The communications officer asked in surprise.

"Don't mind me," Becky said with a smile before inputting something into the console.

A moment later, the entire bridge crew was shocked when Princess Liluth Solar appeared on the viewscreen.

"Princess Terrana," Liluth greeted happily.

"Princess Solar," Tessa replied with a smile.

"Since you're calling me, I guess I should assume that I was right and that you have encountered some difficulties?" Liluth asked.

"Correct," Tessa replied before explaining. "We have just arrived in orbit of Solarian Prime; however, all our attempts at communication are being ignored."

Liluth sighed before saying, "I knew we would have problems, but I never expected them to be so petty."

The bridge officers showed looks of surprise at the Solarian Princess openly insulting the members of her race while Tessa smiled.

Becky, on the other hand, chuckled and asked, "Should you be openly insulting your subjects like that?"

"Becky," Andria snapped.

"It's fine, Captain Ororis; Miss Starlover is not wrong in this; however, they are also not my subjects, but my father's," Lilith replied.

"If you say so, Princess Solar," Andria replied.

"Well, I guess I need to show those of my race just how serious I am about these peace negotiations," Liluth stated in a serious tone.

"What did you have in mind, Princess Solar?" Tessa asked curiously.

"I originally planned to hold our discussions in the royal palace; however, since my fellow Solarians are making things difficult. Why don't we hold the first round of discussions on your ship?" Liluth asked, surprising everyone.
