Riya saw the familiar car parked across the road. She looked around before heading toward it, her nails digging into her bag. Opening the door, she slipped in. Before she could even settle down properly, the car started running.
She almost hit her head on the dashboard. She gasped in shock, shooting a stern glare at the man behind the wheel. "Are you intending to kill me?"
Zachary didn't reply. He kept his gaze on the road ahead, driving speedily.
Riya was also furious. She tossed her hair behind her shoulder and fastened the seatbelt. "You shouldn't have shown up there. What if someone noticed you? Are you no longer afraid of being caught?"
"Humph," he snorted. "I'm not as reckless as you."
"What do you mean?" she barked.
"Are you suffering from memory loss or something?" Zachary chided her. "You made such a blunder at the party last night – tried to kill Mrs. Grant. Yet, you are pretending like nothing has happened."
