The village of Kotta was a rare village that needed continuous guarding. As this village was the closest habitat to a dangerous forest, this kind of guarding was a necessity.
Kira alone was currently in charge of the guard duty. Previously, two people were assigned to this job. But currently, as this was the harvest season and nothing dangerous had came out of the forest for almost a decade, only he was send for the guard duty and the other young men were helping with the harvest.
Kira was actually glad that he was getting to just stand around and do nothing while his friend were busy sweating in the fields. But still, with nothing to do except for looking toward the unchanging scenery, he was feeling extremely bored.
