Chapter 35 - Chapter 32 - How Many Herrscher Gonna be Born in This City?

"Die," she growled.

With a brutal horizontal slash from left to right, she unleashed a devastating wave that tore through the air.

The wind howled with terrifying strength, flattening everything in its path as the ground trembled violently.

The dimension itself shook, cracks spidering across its edges, threatening to shatter entirely. Dust and debris flew like a storm, the sheer power overwhelming the space.

Only Reina's earlier enchantment held it together, preventing total collapse.

When the dust settled, nothing remained where she swung.

No buildings, no roads, not even a hint of the ground-just a scarred, destroyed wasteland stretched out before her.

Even though nothing remained in front of her, the city stretched vast and wide, filled with Honkai beasts scattered across every corner.

Reina planned to wipe them out before tackling the giant flower, so she spread her wings ready to soar high into the sky.

"Huh?"

But before she could take off, she noticed something wrong with her body.

The aura cloaking her began flickering like dying light bulbs when their power fails.

"Impossible... I only used Phosphorus once and my form is already failing?" Reina said, staring at her hands.

Then she recalled her original's warning-her power was unbalanced and unstable. "Is this because of that...?"

It seemed her true form had a time limit in her current state. Clenching her fists, she forced her power to steady, stopping the flickering.

Still, she felt this form wouldn't last long. With the pocket dimension nearing its end, she had to act fast.

"Sword of Renunciation." Four bright red lights flared around Reina.

From the lights, swords began to take shape much like the Sword of Repudiation had, until four Swords of Renunciation floated around her, awaiting her command.

"Go around the city, kill every Honkai beast you can find," she ordered.

With a single command, they glowed with fierce power and scattered in different directions, covering every part of the town.

Less than ten seconds passed before Reina heard distant screeches from Honkai beasts and the rumble of explosions.

"Now just you... Yuna."

---

It was dark.

But it was also warm, like her whole body was wrapped in a soft blanket.

"Why am I here... How did I get here..."

Yuna tried to remember what happened, but her mind stayed blank. She pushed harder, yet nothing came back.

"[You don't remember?]"

"!?" A voice suddenly echoed in her head.

"Who...?"

"[I'm you]"

"You're me?"

The darkness around her began to fade until she could see someone standing in front of her.

It was herself, staring right back.

Yuna stared at the figure in front of her. It was her, but not her.

The other Yuna's face stayed blank, eyes empty with no spark at all. Bruises covered her arms and neck, dark marks from old fights. Her hair hung tangled and messy, like she hadn't brushed it in days.

"You forgot," the other Yuna said, voice flat but sharp like a knife. "You forgot what they did to you."

Yuna shook her head slowly. "I didn't forget. I just... let it go."

"Let it go?" The other Yuna stepped closer, anger burning in those dead eyes. "They hurt you every day. They laughed while you cried. And now you're happy? With Reina? With Kiana? You smile like nothing ever happened?"

Yuna looked down at her hands. "Reina and Kiana asked me once... if I wanted revenge. I said no. It's in the past. I don't care anymore."

"You should care!" the other Yuna snapped, voice cracking like glass. "They broke you! And you just walk away like it was nothing?"

With a sharp snap of her fingers, the darkness around them shifted.

Suddenly, they stood in a classroom. Desks lined up neatly under the sunlight pouring through the windows. But the air felt heavy, cold, and full of memories.

Yuna's heart tightened. She knew this place all too well.

This was her classroom from back then-the one where it all happened.

The scene stayed quiet for a moment, then the classroom door slid open with a soft scrape. A group of girls walked in, giggling and tossing glances at the younger Yuna still hunched over her book.

First came the small things. A pencil case vanished from her desk. Minutes later, it turned up on the floor near the trash bin, contents spilled.

Next, her indoor shoes disappeared from the shoe locker. Until way later she found them later stuffed inside the classroom trash can, soaked in juice and crumpled paper.

Yuna watched her past self search quietly with her cheeks red while saying nothing.

Then the locker itself got filled overnight. Random junk—old snacks, broken toys, someone's dirty gym clothes—piled inside. Laughter echoed down the hall when she opened it and everything spilled out.

She decided to report everything to the teacher. "We'll look into it," is all she heard from them while smiling politely. But nothing changed. The bullies came from rich families so even the teacher hesitated to do anything.

Days turned into weeks. The bullying grew bolder.

One afternoon, after classes ended, the group cornered her in an empty room. They pushed her against the wall, yanked her hair, slapped her face until tears ran. "Lower-class trash," they sneered. "You don't deserve anything better."

The worst came close to crossing a line—hands grabbing at her uniform, threats whispered—but they stopped short. "Not worth it," one laughed. "She's too dirty for that."

Each time, the other Yuna's voice hissed in the current Yuna's ear.

"See? They broke you.

Make them pay.

One snap of your vines and they're gone.

Do it."

With days passed her appearance slowly changed the light in her eyes faded. Her hair grew messy, bruises stayed longer, posture shrank.

By the final scene, past Yuna stood alone in the empty classroom, staring at her reflection in the window with blank face, hollow eyes, just like the other Yuna now.

She doesn't want to worry her mother so she has been hiding all of this from her, She knows how hard her mother's day is everyday while working and taking care of her since her father passed away.

The other Yuna leaned close with her voice low and cold.

"That's you.

That's what they made.

Take it back.

Take revenge."

The other Yuna placed her hand on Yuna's shoulder and the moment she did, emotions flooded into her like a broken dam.

"Argh!" Yuna's head throbbed painfully as a sharp headache struck her out of nowhere.

Rage, frustration, despair, and sadness poured through her mind, each feeling crashing into the next and making her heart pound hard against her chest.

Yuna clenched her fists, shaking her head. The emotions from the other Yuna's touch tried to pull her back into that old pain, but she pushed against it.

The past is over, she told herself. Those bullies don't matter anymore. I have friends now—Reina, Kiana, Mei. They care about me. They make me laugh, they stand by me. The memories of their smiles, their warm hugs, fought the rage bubbling up.

She breathed deep, holding on to those happy times, resisting the dark pull with all her strength.

The other Yuna clicked her tongue, frustration twisting her blank face. She couldn't believe Yuna still held out after reliving all that bullying.

Then an idea sparked, making the other Yuna smile menacingly, her empty eyes glinting with cruel intent.

Meanwhile, Reina hovered in front of the flower, its petals almost fully open. She could see Yuna still sleeping inside, absorbing Honkai energy from the entire dimension.

"Seems I'm too late… Her transformation is almost complete."

At first, Reina had planned to stop Yuna from becoming a Pseudo-Herrscher like in the manga. After months of knowing Yuna, Reina knew she hated violence because of her past.

Becoming a Pseudo-Herrscher would make her life chaotic.

But interrupting the transformation now would do more harm than good. It was almost done anyway, so waiting was better.

Not long after deciding to wait, Reina saw tears flowing from the sleeping Yuna. She moved around like trapped in a nightmare.

"It's here."

The entire city began shaking violently as if the ground itself was awakening.

Around the giant flower, more massive roots sprouted from the earth twisting and bursting upward with tremendous force.

Reina noticed the Honkai energy inside Yuna surging higher, the intensity growing like a storm about to break.

The flower that was almost blooming suddenly closed its petals tight hiding Yuna from Reina's view once more.

Reina scanned the area her gaze stopping on the building where Kiana Mei and Bronya were. She saw it stood safe protected by her barrier amidst the chaos.

Yuna's transformation ravaged the city further as roots snaked through streets and giant flowers erupted from the ground shattering buildings and roads in their wake.

After a while the destruction quieted the shaking faded leaving an eerie silence.

Reina turned her attention back to Yuna the air thick with lingering Honkai energy.

The flower stirred again its petals slowly blooming open revealing the figure inside.

From within Yuna rose to her feet her appearance fully transformed into a true Herrscher form far beyond the Pseudo-Herrscher of the manga.

Yuna's Herrscher form radiated a wild, toxic beauty that commanded fear and awe. Her skin glowed a faint green, veined with dark purple lines like poison running through vines.

Her hair flowed long and wild, tangled with thorny roses that bloomed and withered in seconds, dripping sticky toxin from their petals.

Her eyes burned deep crimson, sharp as thorns, with pupils shaped like twisted stems that seemed to pulse with life.

Her outfit was a mix of living plants and dark armor, vines wrapping her body like a dress, leaves forming sleeves that ended in sharp claws. Purple flowers bloomed on her shoulders, releasing a faint, sickly mist.

On her head sat a crown made of twisted wood trunks, gnarled and ancient, adorned with blood-red roses that dripped poison like dew. The crown pulsed with Honkai energy, making her look like a queen of decay.

Her entire form shimmered with regen power, toxin aura seeping from her skin, ready to corrupt anything it touched. She was a living storm of plants and poison, a true Herrscher worthy of ruling.

Yuna appeared and stared at Reina, but with every memory of the other Yuna flooding her mind, she gazed at Reina with full caution.

She knew how dangerous Reina was, especially this current Reina. In her memories, she'd never seen Reina in this form before, but the pressure she felt was overwhelming.

Her goal as a Herrscher was simple: take revenge on those trash but Reina would definitely try to stop her.

Fighting head-on was suicide against such a being.

In a short moment, Yuna made her decision. She channeled her Honkai energy and spread it around her.

The quantity and quality of the Honkai energy she released surpassed the missiles that hit Nagazora. Honkai beasts began appearing around her, hundreds of flying ones swarming the air.

Three giant Honkai energies, almost as big as the flower Yuna stood on, started materializing.

They fell to the ground with a loud crash, shaking the ground again.

Three giant Honkai beasts stood tall, along with hundreds of flying ones that Yuna summoned just to fight Reina.

"Go" Yuna said with a single word pointing her finger toward Reina ordering one of the giant beasts to attack.

Making three giant Honkai beasts like this was basically a waste of her Honkai energy but she needed to test Reina's power.

So she sacrificed one by ordering it to attack Reina.

The giant Honkai beast raised its right arm glowing red with energy that flowed like lava emitting hot air that scorched the ground.

Because of its size its movement was pretty slow unlike smaller versions but the power from that hit would easily destroy anything it touched.

Reina assumed they were probably Emperor-Class Honkai or even unclassified with how much Honkai energy they emanated.

And then it swung its right arm toward Reina at full force while Yuna stared closely to see Reina's reaction.

The giant Honkai beast's fist hurtled toward Reina with crushing force. But Reina didn't move from her spot her stance steady and unmoving.

Yuna watched closely wondering what Reina was doing. She was sure the attack would hit even if it couldn't harm her it should make Reina feel the impact at least.

As the fist nearly touched Reina Yuna heard her murmur something low and quiet.

Then BAM a hard striking sound echoed as the fist collided unleashing a burst of wind that whipped through the air.

Yuna raised her eyebrows trying to see because the giant fist still covered Reina blocking her view.

But then suddenly particles start to appeared on the tip of the hand like paper burning to ash.

The particles spread slowly at first across the fist then faster racing up the entire arm.

In moments the spread accelerated consuming the whole body. The giant Honkai beast vanished from existence leaving only empty air behind.
