Chapter 513: Break and Rebuild—Condensing the Divine Palace!
As Lin Fan stepped into the statue, he clearly felt the world spinning—space and time twisting.
When he dispelled the dizziness, he found himself in a completely different scene.
Before him stood an ancient altar, surrounded by stone steps that reached into the clouds. At the top of the stairs was an old, worn-out meditation mat.
Step by step, Lin Fan ascended the stairs and arrived at the top of the altar.
The mat looked unremarkable, like it was woven from wild grass, but Lin Fan could faintly sense an aura that seemed to transcend all of creation.
It was a lingering trace of the Symbol Ancestor—this must have been the place where the legendary master once cultivated.
After a brief glance at the mat, Lin Fan didn't hesitate. He sat cross-legged and slowly closed his eyes, sinking his mind into his Niwan Palace.
The so-called condensing of the Divine Palace was, in essence, transforming the Niwan Palace into the Divine Palace—but this step was incredibly difficult.
The Niwan Palace was a mysterious, innate mental domain, unlike the dantian which could be clearly accessed. The Niwan Palace drifted between thought and spirit. It might appear as a single point of light, yet within it resided one's essence, energy, and spirit.
If the dantian shattered, one could survive. But if the spirit was wiped out… the result would be a mindless husk.
And the process of condensing a Divine Palace, if handled poorly, could damage the Niwan Palace and the spirit within—meaning death or permanent vegetative state.
That was why many peak-level spiritual cultivators dared not take this final step.
But Lin Fan wasn't afraid.
He took a deep breath, adjusted himself to peak state, and fully immersed his consciousness into this inner world.
Within, thunder raged, hurricanes howled, and hail fell like war drums—a chaotic landscape like the primordial times.
This was Lin Fan's Niwan Palace.
Floating within the violent energy, his consciousness moved, and soon, a spiritual avatar identical to him formed.
Gazing over the stormy world, Lin Fan smiled faintly. The vast sea of spiritual power here was immense, but still lacked density and resilience—key qualities needed to form a Divine Palace.
Huff!
His spiritual form exhaled, then sat cross-legged. Thunder and wind howled around him, but not a strand touched him.
As he entered meditation, strands of spiritual energy began to gather and flow into his nose, only to exit moments later—now denser and shimmering faintly.
With this refining process, more and more spiritual energy came, gradually forming a thick mist that enveloped his avatar like a cocoon.
Lin Fan remained motionless, like a sculpture.
Tempering all the spiritual power in this place would take a very long time.
But he wasn't worried. Ten days inside equaled one day outside—time was on his side.
He let his mind settle, his heart still, and even forgot the passage of time.
In this calm state, the once-chaotic Niwan Palace began to change. Thunder turned into rivers, hurricanes softened into breezes, and hail melted into drifting snowflakes.
The world became as serene as Lin Fan's heart.
Eventually, the spiritual energy stopped raging and instead flowed freely at Lin Fan's will. His control was perfect, and his power had reached the pinnacle of the Great Symbol Master Realm, just one step from the Divine Palace Realm.
But breaking through that final barrier would not be easy.
When his spiritual power had been refined to its absolute limit, Lin Fan gave the command—and his entire spiritual sea contracted rapidly.
In mere seconds, all of it condensed into a head-sized sphere, solid and mirror-like, yet radiating power that would terrify even a two-tribulation Reincarnation powerhouse.
Once it reached its limit, the sphere began to tremble. Cracks formed across its surface, and destructive beams of light began to leak out.
As the power reached its peak, it erupted like a sun rising in his Niwan Palace—followed by a complete explosion of his inner world.
Lin Fan had long known that to condense the Divine Palace, one had to destroy before rebuilding—so he chose to detonate his Niwan Palace without hesitation.
BOOM!
Despite his preparations, the pain was overwhelming.
His body trembled violently, and a massive surge of spiritual power rushed outward like a tidal wave.
Gritting his teeth against the searing pain in his skull, Lin Fan began to gather the chaotic energy, directing it back toward a central point.
The spiritual power flowed like liquid, slowly forming into the outline of a palace.
Time passed. Bit by bit, the structure took shape—majestic, divine, awe-inspiring. It was like a true dwelling place of gods.
Joy surged in Lin Fan's heart at the sight—but he knew he couldn't stop yet.
The palace was still incomplete—it lacked the ability to sustain itself, to evolve.
It needed one final component: Tai Shang Power.
Keeping the palace stable, Lin Fan shifted into his Supreme Perception state. His awareness drifted, and after some time, streams of chaotic light fell upon the forming Divine Palace.
The moment it touched the palace, a clear resonant chime rang out.
The once-dead palace seemed to gain life. Its surface gleamed with light, and vibrant vitality began to radiate.
Rumble...
Within, the spiritual power started to circulate, forming the first cycle of Divine Palace energy.
At the same time, Lin Fan sensed something—he had formed a mysterious connection with the great unknown, with the Supreme.
More chaotic light began to fall, fusing into his spirit.
With each merge, his spiritual power began to transform on a fundamental level.
It was a true metamorphosis.
He knew that once this process was complete, the Divine Palace would fully replace his Niwan Palace.
But the transformation would take time.
So Lin Fan did the only thing he could—wait. Silently. Patiently.
He had already broken the shell.
Now, all that was left was for the fire to forge the spirit.
