Chapter 72 - Snow White

Erik's POV

The Wilderness

It had been a few days since we started our journey, and it was quite boring. I was taking my time since I was with my wives, but at least I finally saw the silhouette of a kingdom.

I stood on a cliff overlooking the forest. Beyond it lay a kingdom. I'd thought about conquering it, but I wanted to see if the king or queen was good first.

"Mate, I want to eat."

I sighed and turned back to Luna. Looking at her, I couldn't help but feel conflicted. She was my wife, but we barely knew each other.

I thought things would be awkward, and they were—not because of her, but because of me. She had wanted to mate every night, but I'd refused because I wanted to develop feelings first.

She didn't understand, and I could tell she was hurt. She had told me that sharing the soul is the most intimate thing mates can do for each other.

I'd apologized multiple times, and the only thing that worked was food. She was actually quite simple and predictable, especially with her tail giving her away.

"What do you want?" I asked with a smile.

"I want meat," she said, excited.

Her tail was wagging side to side.

"Okay, but you have to promise you'll eat your vegetables as well," I said.

Her cheeks puffed up.

"No, it tastes bad," she said.

My mouth twitched. For someone so old, she sure was childish.

I grabbed her cheeks and stretched them.

"Hey, stop it," she said, grabbing my hand.

I smiled and let go.

"I'll start cooking," I said.

Her tail started wagging again as she followed. Returning to camp, I saw Merida and Elsa sitting on chairs while drinking tea.

"Girls, this is supposed to be the wilderness, not your backyard," I said.

Though I said this, I felt quite happy. Merida had stopped wearing her dress and was wearing something more casual.

She didn't even like dresses in the first place, so this little adventure was great for her. As for Elsa, she was happy to not be doing any paperwork.

"I don't want to sit on tree bark," Merida and Elsa said.

I shook my head in resignation.

"What do you girls want to eat?" I asked.

They turned to me with a smile.

Queen Grimhilde's POV

That brat Snow White is finally dead. As I walked to the secret room with the heart box in hand, I smiled to myself.

No one was as beautiful as me in this land. Entering the secret room, I put the heart box on the table and walked toward the mirror.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" I asked.

A face appeared in the mirror and spoke.

"The fairest of them all is Queen Elsa," he said, revealing a beautiful woman in a dress with blonde, almost white hair.

Her hair was braided into a ponytail that rested on her shoulder. But that wasn't the only thing that surprised me—there were two other women with her.

Though they weren't as beautiful, they were still more beautiful than me. Anger grew in my chest when a man suddenly appeared in the image.

Before I could look any further, his eyes turned to me. The mirror cracked and screamed in pain.

I took a step back.

"W—what happened?" I asked.

The magic mirror on the wall eventually calmed down and spoke to me.

"That man is dangerous," it said with fear in its voice.

I gulped. How was the man able to notice? Who was he? What was he?

Snow White's POV

Today has been nothing but a tragedy. Why did my stepmother want me dead? Did I do something wrong?

I wish someone could help me. I slowly looked up when I smelled something good. My stomach growled, and I gulped.

The smell was amazing. I walked toward the source and eventually came across a camp. I peeked from behind a tree and saw three beautiful women.

They were the most beautiful women I had ever seen. I couldn't help but be amazed. One's hair was like wildfire—beautiful and untamed. Another had a calm, serene energy. And the last one had huge breasts.

I looked down at my chest and back at the women. Am I lacking?

I was suddenly lifted up by the back of my collar. I slumped in the air and froze. The person turned me around to face them, and I gulped.

This man was huge.

"S—sir."

"A kid? What are you doing here?" he asked.

I gulped again and was about to explain when my stomach growled. I blushed in embarrassment. I hadn't eaten since yesterday.

He blinked a few times, then put me on his arm and carried me to the camp. I stayed still. What was happening? Was I getting kidnapped?

Once we reached the table, he put me down on a seat.

"Who is this?" the one with red hair asked.

The man just shrugged.

"I don't know. I noticed her hiding behind some trees and caught her. She was hungry, so I might as well feed her before sending her home," he said.

The beautiful lady nodded.

"Mate, I want more meat," the black-haired woman shouted.

"Luna, I told you to eat your vegetables," he said.

In response, her tail constantly smacked the ground. There were thud sounds every second, as if she was truly upset.

"I want meat! I want meat!" she chanted.

The man's face grew serious. Oh no, he's mad.

"If you don't listen, then you won't eat meat for a whole week," he threatened.

She went quiet immediately. Her eyes widened in shock. Her face morphed into anger, and her tail thudded on the ground even harder as she began eating her vegetables.

He then turned to me and smiled.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"My name is Snow White," I answered.

He rubbed his chin.

"Sounds familiar," he muttered.

Oh no. Does he know I'm a princess? Is he going to send me back to my stepmother?

"Where are your parents?"

The lady with blonde hair asked.

"My father has passed, and my stepmother—she wants me dead," I said, dejected.

The huge man's face scrunched up in anger.

"Who is this woman?" he asked with contained fury.

I gulped. He looks angry. Should I tell him? I let out a deep breath.

"She is the queen of this land," I said.

His eyebrow raised for a moment, then he laughed. I looked at the others to see their reaction, but they seemed unbothered.

"It seems I don't need to do any investigations," he said.

Investigations? What investigation?

Erik's POV

Nighttime

After the girls went to bed, I could finally do what I'd been planning. Now that I had time to myself, I remembered a little about Snow White.

She was a princess whose stepmother wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the land. And she was—until Snow White grew older.

In jealousy, she sent a hunter to kill Snow White and cut out her heart so she could become more beautiful.

I headed toward the castle. Should I just silently kill her? No, that wouldn't make the people obey. I need to make a scene to assert my power.

I jumped into the air and transformed into my dragon form. I should start using it more often to make things easier.

A few minutes later, I reached the castle. I roared into the sky, and the whole kingdom shook.

People and guards ran out of their homes only to see a huge dragon.

"Who is the queen of this kingdom?" I called out evenly.

Just a few minutes later, a woman appeared. I inspected her. She was fully covered except for her face, which was practically white with makeup.

"Oh great dragon, what brings you to my humble abode?" she asked.

I could sense the fear coming from her.

I leaned down, and my eyes stared into her very soul. She shook, as did the guards behind her.

"This kingdom—it now belongs to me," I said matter-of-factly.

She gulped.

"I—if that is your wish. But I hope you spare the people—"

"Stop with your nonsense. Do you think I cannot see through you?" I asked.

"Forgive me for my ignorance," she replied, her fear rising.

I lifted my head and spoke loudly for everyone to hear.

"By morning I will return. Prepare for my arrival," I said.

She bowed in fear, and I flew off. I should really do this more often. It's effective. Who should I let stabilize this kingdom?

I could choose my generals, but I want my children to gain experience. I wish I could choose Yao, but she's empress of China now.

Moon was out of the question. Clyde is busy spending time with Ariel. Fergus is trying to get Cinderella to be more confident.

Crystal and Melody just follow Moon everywhere. Liora is a priestess. Rune would scowl at me, and Igneel's busy with Novus. That only leaves Claude.

But I don't really want to choose him either because of his cold nature. Damn, should I just choose Fergus? I mean, it could be good for him.

But at the same time, Claude is the only one left without experience. With that thought, I teleported back to Novus. I appeared in his bedroom and saw him sitting in a chair, looking at the moonlight.

Looking at him, my mouth twitched. Damn, why is this guy sitting like he's in a model shoot?

He slowly turned to me.

"What is it?" he asked indifferently.

"Cough. I have a job for you," I said.

"I refuse," he answered immediately.

"I wasn't asking," I said.

He just looked at me and didn't say anything. Then he suddenly disappeared. My eyes widened. This brat really used my skill against me.

I teleported to where he was and grabbed him before he could sense me.

"Do you really think you could beat me in this contest?" I asked coldly.

He scowled at me.

"Stop with your nonsense. I already refused," he said angrily.

A vein throbbed. This kid is starting to piss me off.

I teleported back to camp and let go. He didn't do anything since he knew he couldn't escape. He sat down on a chair and continued scowling.

I sat down across from him.

"Claude, you will soon have your own territory. You must learn to be a leader before you are given that right," I explained.

He waved me off.

"Fine, but don't bother me after."

My mouth twitched. Should I just beat his ass? No, calm yourself. Suddenly the tent flap opened, and all four came out. I turned to them.

I forgot Luna doesn't need much sleep, while Merida and Elsa wake up early for their duties. They must not have gotten used to sleeping as much as they want.

As for Snow White, I don't know.

"Who's the brat?" Claude asked.

"Claude, didn't I tell you not to talk like that?" Elsa said.

Claude went quiet immediately. Yes, now I have a backup plan.

I turned to Elsa.

"Elsa—I want him to take over this kingdom. He needs experience," I said with a smile.

She nodded.

"That's not a bad idea since he'll be getting his own territory in the future," she said.

Snow White looked confused and was about to ask something.

"I'm hungry," Luna said.

I nodded.

"Breakfast will be ready in thirty," I said and stood up.

They all sat down at the table. I looked inside my inventory and searched for ingredients.

Eggs, bacon, tomatoes, broccoli, and potatoes.

I started cooking. Mixing a bunch of ingredients together, I made tomato scrambled eggs, fried bacon, boiled broccoli, and steamed potatoes with cheese.

After I finished cooking, I put the plates on the table. Everyone started eating except for Snow White. She seems to be extremely shy.

I put food on her plate.

"Eat up. We will move in an hour," I said.

She nodded.

"Thank you, sir," she said and started eating.

I patted her head slightly and started storing everything. Everyone brought their own things except for Luna. She wears my clothes, saying they have my smell and fit well.

Her own storage ring only had uncooked meat. I even asked her to put vegetables inside, but she refused.
