"Pidgeotto, use Sand Attack!"
He released Pidgeotto, then immediately had Pidgeotto launch an attack. Pidgeotto, upon hearing the command, quickly flapped its wings, instantly stirring up a cloud of sand that flew towards Kabutops, hitting it in the face.
But Ash knew this thing was a machine. This move wouldn't work; it was just to attract attention. Since it attacked people, it meant it had quite high intelligence.
