Chapter 142 - 《Naruto: The Ōtsutsuki Bloodline》Chapter 142: Crushing Destruction (Subscription Requested)

While Kitagawa Minamoto was wreaking havoc on the battlefield, the intense clash between Kakashi and Obito continued to escalate.

"Kakashi!"

"Obito!"

The two figures shifted back and forth between reality and Kamui's Dimension, their battle moving fluidly between the tangible and the intangible.

"Damn it, so the offensive part of Kamui resides with Kakashi."

Obito found himself at a disadvantage in this exchange. Despite his powerful body and the added advantage of Wood Release, Kakashi's tactical prowess and combat skills were leagues ahead.

In hand-to-hand combat, Obito couldn't gain the upper hand.

Previously, he could rely on Kamui to evade attacks. But now, Kakashi, armed with the Sharingan he had given him, could counter him effectively.

It was only now that Obito fully understood the nature of Kakashi's Kamui.

"My Kamui is defensive, focused on teleportation. But to send a target into Kamui's Dimension, I have to get close and take a risk."

Obito dodged another attack, his mind racing.

"Kakashi, on the other hand, can launch long-range attacks. This is really bad."

As he pondered, Kakashi suddenly threw several kunai infused with Lightning Release. Obito snorted coldly at the sight.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

Though a basic Fire Release jutsu, when performed by Obito, its power was immense.

The massive fireball engulfed the incoming kunai. Kakashi, however, quickly reacted by pressing his hands to the ground.

"Earth Style: Earth Wall!"

A wall adorned with dog-head carvings rose from the earth. Obito, seeing the carvings, clenched his fists in anger.

"Of course, it's that bastard's teaching!"

"?"

Kakashi was confused by Obito's reaction. He couldn't see Obito's expression, but the earth wall not only blocked the fireball, it also obscured their view of each other.

In the next moment, Obito phased through the earth wall and launched a direct attack on Kakashi!

But just as he was about to land a blow, Obito scoffed.

"As expected, your shamelessness runs in your bloodline!"

The Kakashi in front of him transformed into a burst of lightning, while the real Kakashi emerged from the ground beneath Obito.

However, Obito wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice—at least not against Kakashi.

Forcing Kamui into action, he grabbed Kakashi's arm. At the same time, Kakashi activated his own Kamui.

In an instant, the space around them distorted, as one tried to pull the other into Kamui's Dimension while the other resisted.

This tug-of-war between dimensions caused the boundary between reality and illusion to blur once again. Eventually, both were transported to another location.

When they reappeared, they found themselves in an open field.

"This is..."

"Here?"

Both men fell silent as they recognized the place. It was a site etched deeply into their memories, one that carried unbearable pain.

This was the place where Rin had died.

"What a cruel joke. You worthless failure actually brought us here."

After a long silence, Obito broke into a cold laugh, his crimson Sharingan glaring at Kakashi.

"You worthless failure who broke your promise. Perhaps this is the perfect place for us to end things."

"Indeed, I failed to keep my promise. I failed to protect Rin."

Kakashi took a deep breath, his voice calm yet resolute.

"But I did not betray her will. She died protecting Konohagakure. And you? You betrayed her. You betrayed everyone."

"This place... is indeed fitting."

As his words fell, the tension between them escalated. Both men's Chakra surged, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten.

But just as they were about to clash again, their attention was drawn to a massive sphere rising into the sky in the distance.

Back on the battlefield, Nagato watched as Kitagawa Minamoto tore through his remaining Paths of Pain with overwhelming force.

He couldn't understand how Minamoto could say, "Did you enjoy yourself just now?" with such ease.

But seeing Minamoto's relentless assault, shattering the Human Path and Hell Path one after another, Nagato knew he had to act immediately.

"This guy... is even stronger than before. How did it come to this?"

Last time, Nagato had attributed his defeat to only having the Deva Path active.

But now, even with all six Paths present, he was still being overwhelmed. This was unacceptable!

"Could it really be as he said? 'Concentrated power can shatter stone'? Is that why I'm losing?"

Nagato couldn't deny the truth in Minamoto's words.

His scattered forces were being picked off one by one, unable to support each other effectively.

"How can I fix this?"

But before he could think further, Minamoto blitzed past the Hell Path's defenses and destroyed the Human Path in an instant.

"Two left."

Minamoto's calm voice echoed in the Deva Path's ears.

"If this is all you've got, then I have to say, you're not even making this fun for me."

Minamoto wasn't joking. The Six Paths of Pain were certainly formidable, each with unique abilities.

Against an average shinobi, they would be nearly insurmountable.

But against someone like Minamoto, who had both the strength and the intelligence to exploit their weaknesses, they were manageable.

"Thanks to Jiraiya and Naruto, I already knew how to deal with the Preta Path's Chakra absorption ability."

Minamoto smirked, recalling how he had overloaded the Preta Path with pure natural energy, turning it to stone before shattering it.

"Now you're paying the price."

Looking at the shattered remains of the Preta Path, Minamoto couldn't help but chuckle.

This was the power of "Intel Minamoto."

"Stall him for a bit. I'm preparing a technique," the Deva Path instructed Raiga Kurosuki, its Chakra steadily gathering.

"I understand."

Raiga nodded, knowing that if he didn't give it his all, he would die here.

"Lightning Release: Thunder Dragon Tornado!"

As Minamoto closed in, Raiga unleashed a massive dragon-shaped lightning attack.

The Hell Path joined the fray, despite its support-oriented abilities, knowing there was no other choice.

"Is that all you've got?"

Minamoto formed a single hand seal.

"Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave."

A massive surge of water erupted, catching Raiga off guard.

"Wait, he's not just using Water Release—he's going to use Ice Release!"

As the water collided with the Thunder Dragon, a chilling frost spread through the air, freezing the lightning in place.

"Ice Release: Wondrous Ice."

With another seal, Minamoto shattered the frozen dragon into countless shards, which transformed into senbon-like ice needles that rained down on his enemies.

"Dodge!"

Raiga shouted, raising his twin swords to shield himself.

But the Hell Path wasn't as lucky. In the chaos, Minamoto appeared before it, his short blade slicing cleanly through its neck.

"Farewell."

As the Hell Path's head flew, it revealed a faint smile.

"Because..."

"Chibaku Tensei!"

The Deva Path's voice roared as it clasped its hands together.

A black sphere shot into the sky, unleashing a gravitational force so immense that the ground began to crack and rise toward it.

As the earth quaked and debris spiraled upward, the shinobi of Kusagakure watched in terror.

"What is this...?"

"The ground... it's being pulled apart?"

"This can't be real!"

Even the Kusagakure leader was stunned, his face pale with fear.

"This level of destruction... it's not human."

Meanwhile, Minamoto remained calm as he was drawn toward the forming sphere.

"So this is Chibaku Tensei."

He raised his hand, revealing three orbs—one black, one white, and one purple.

"Let's see how my latest creation holds up."

With a flick of his wrist, the orbs combined, forming a transparent Rasengan infused with Magnet Release, Ice Release, and Purple Electricity.

"Let's call this... Starfall Rasengan."

With a burst of speed, Minamoto launched himself toward the growing sphere.

"Boom—"

The collision lit up the sky with a blinding white light, as if a second sun had appeared.

The resulting explosion tore through the landscape, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake.

"Impossible..."

Nagato trembled as he watched from afar, blood dripping from his nose.

Even Chibaku Tensei, his ultimate technique, had been destroyed by Minamoto's Rasengan.

"Run, Konan!" Nagato shouted weakly.

But it was too late.

"You're too late," Minamoto's voice echoed ominously.
