Kitagawa Minamoto had already finished absorbing Asura's Chakra.
As he waited for the moon to rise, he took the time to fine-tune his condition.
Although the moon was now inhabited only by the elderly, weak, and infirm, he figured that even if he went in with "heavy-handed tactics," it wouldn't pose much of a challenge.
"Still, I've experienced the power of that Tenseigan many times myself; I must remain cautious."
Feeling the Chakra surging within him, he took a deep breath and walked to a specific spot in the valley.
Under the clear moonlight cascading from the sky, he raised his head to gaze directly at the silver moon.
At that moment, his eyes transformed into the Tenseigan, their galaxy-like brilliance resonating with the celestial body above.
"Now then..."
The power in his eyes erupted, and in an instant, the Tenseigan in the starry sky responded.
Simultaneously, a beam of Chakra light, visible only to those with the Tenseigan, descended from the moon, landing silently before him.
"So this is the passage?"
Observing the phenomenon before him, Kitagawa Minamoto nodded and stepped directly into the silver light.
In an instant, he felt an immense gravitational pull drawing him upward!
Under the influence of this Chakra, he ascended into the sky in the blink of an eye.
Everything around him accelerated, passing by like fleeting images in a whirlwind.
Before long, the scenery around him vanished entirely, leaving only a vast expanse of whiteness.
"Damn it! Someone's activated the moon's passage!"
On the moon, three elders had gathered before the massive Tenseigan.
Watching the golden Tenseigan radiate streams of light, and sensing the unique spatial energy surging around it, they immediately understood what was happening.
"Do you think it's that so-called 'Celestial Being'?" the Third Elder furrowed his brow, looking skeptically at the other two.
"But something feels off. If it were them, they should descend from the heavens as described in the ancient texts, not..."
"I don't know either, but nothing can be ruled out."
The First Elder shook his head, his gaze fixed on the Tenseigan, which continued to emit pulses of Chakra.
After a moment, he spoke:
"No matter who it is, we must be prepared. This individual is no ordinary threat."
"What's your plan?" the Second Elder remained silent for a moment before asking softly.
"If this individual proves too dangerous, then..."
"You're already talking about retreat before we've even fought? You're unbelievably cowardly!" the Third Elder exploded in anger, cutting off the Second Elder mid-sentence.
The First Elder sighed.
"Quiet down. This is no time for bickering. The situation is critical, but we do need to prepare thoroughly."
At his words, the other two elders turned their attention to him.
In moments of crisis, they knew they had to follow the First Elder's lead.
"Deploy the puppets. Bring out all of them."
The First Elder pondered for a moment before issuing his command.
"At the very least, we can gauge his strength and wear him down a bit. Additionally, we need to move Toneri to safety. He cannot remain in such a dangerous environment."
"Leave Toneri's relocation to you two. I'll handle the battle this time."
The Third Elder stepped forward, addressing the First Elder.
"I've already said before, this intruder is my responsibility. I'll give you satisfactory results!"
"Very well, it's up to you."
The First Elder hesitated briefly before nodding and turning to the Second Elder.
"Let's go. We need to ensure Toneri is safe first."
"Understood."
The Second Elder seemed hesitant but had no choice but to comply.
As the two walked away, the First Elder spoke quietly to the Second Elder:
"I need you to stay with Toneri, not get involved in this battle."
"What?"
The Second Elder froze, but the First Elder gave him no chance to object.
"I don't know who's coming or how this will turn out, but I must prepare for the worst."
The First Elder sighed.
"The Third Elder is too impulsive, and you're the only one who can stay with Toneri for a while longer. Toneri still needs time."
"First Elder, you..."
"I'll stay behind, no matter what happens. But if things become truly dire, I want you to take Toneri and leave this place."
The Second Elder opened his mouth to speak but found himself unable to.
The First Elder shook his head and continued:
"We cannot forget the will of our ancestors. Toneri is our future. The final burden falls to you."
The Second Elder understood the First Elder's intentions, though it left him feeling helpless and pained.
Still, he knew this was likely the best course of action.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the moon, silver light flickered, and Kitagawa Minamoto's figure silently materialized!
"What a magnificent sight."
Standing atop a mountain peak, Kitagawa Minamoto marveled at the scene before him.
White clouds swirled around him, and an ocean surged far below.
The sun in the sky cast a gentle, serene glow over everything.
It looked like a paradise untouched by time.
"But everything here is ring-shaped."
Due to the moon's internal structure, its appearance was vastly different from the outside—more accurately, it was inverted.
Even knowing it was artificial, Kitagawa Minamoto couldn't help but be captivated by the spectacle.
"And to maintain all this—how much Chakra must it consume? Is it the power of the Tenseigan?"
Kitagawa Minamoto pondered silently but quickly shook his head.
Now wasn't the time to dwell on such thoughts.
He had already "seen" a large number of shadowy figures rushing toward him.
"Puppets?"
Kitagawa Minamoto nodded, as if understanding everything.
He didn't bother to pay them much attention.
By now, he had changed into a flowing white robe.
This time, he wore no mask, nor did he bother to hide the horns protruding from his head.
These people claimed to be Ōtsutsuki and even harbored thoughts of destroying the ninja world.
Kitagawa Minamoto figured that if that was the case, he might as well confront them as a "true Ōtsutsuki."
Psychological warfare...
That was his favorite tactic!
As he contemplated this, the sky became densely packed with puppets.
Controlled by the Tenseigan, these puppets floated effortlessly in the air.
They retained highly humanoid appearances, making them seem incredibly lifelike.
Such craftsmanship was leagues beyond anything Sasori could achieve!
"State your name, outsider."
At that moment, one of the puppets spoke in a commanding voice.
Even as a puppet, its Chakra surged, rippling visibly through the air.
Yet, this Chakra couldn't even reach Kitagawa Minamoto.
"Though you're just a puppet, I can sense your controller's Chakra."
Kitagawa Minamoto ignored the question, speaking indifferently as he gazed at the puppet.
"You carry traces of our essence. It seems this is the place I've been searching for. Kaguya is here."
"!!!"
Kitagawa Minamoto's words, though seemingly unrelated, struck a nerve.
The Third Elder, controlling the puppet, trembled violently.
Whether it was the mention of "our essence" or "Kaguya," both were deeply alarming.
"So, you're a descendant of Kaguya, aren't you?"
Kitagawa Minamoto turned his gaze away from the puppet, looking into the distance.
It was as if he could see through the clouds to everything beyond!
At that moment, the Third Elder broke into a cold sweat, feeling as though something terrifying had locked onto him.
"I've found you."
Kitagawa Minamoto spoke softly, a smile spreading across his face.
"How pitiful. Has your bloodline degraded to this extent?"
"Who are you?!"
The Third Elder's voice was sharp with fear.
Though he was far from Kitagawa Minamoto, an overwhelming sense of dread gripped him.
"What is your purpose here?!"
"Don't be agitated, and don't be afraid."
Kitagawa Minamoto shook his head gently, sighing as he spoke calmly:
"My purpose here isn't something I can explain to you. But I hope you'll behave, so I can avoid unnecessary trouble."
"What is your purpose?!"
Kitagawa Minamoto's calm demeanor only heightened the Third Elder's anxiety.
The massive Tenseigan before him began to stir, almost as if it were slipping out of control.
What terrified him most was the realization that Kitagawa Minamoto's eyes were also Tenseigan!
Now he understood why the Tenseigan kept being manipulated and why its authority had been overridden.
"Damn it! One of his goals must be the Tenseigan. He won't let it go!"
The Third Elder thought in panic, realizing another grim truth:
"It's not just the Tenseigan. He won't spare the sealed individual either. This being..."
At this realization, the Third Elder's body trembled uncontrollably.
His earlier bravado vanished like smoke, leaving only silence.
And the battle stance of the puppets he controlled.
"Alright, I think I understand your stance now."
Seeing the Third Elder's reaction, Kitagawa Minamoto shook his head lightly.
He raised his hand, and in an instant, Chakra Beads materialized around him.
They assembled together, and the ethereal form of the Sword of Totsuka appeared.
"It's a pity. I had hoped to resolve this quietly, but it seems..."
"You're just like those inferior beings below—always self-righteous, always thinking you can stop me."
"But in the end, it's all for naught. You're just wasting my time."
Vast Chakra surged like a tidal wave, transforming the once-clear morning sky into a sunset-streaked horizon.
Kitagawa Minamoto's Tenseigan, glowing with brilliant blue light, gazed disdainfully at the puppets.
"Or do you think that possessing traces of our bloodline makes you any less inferior?"
Buzz—
The blade swung, and the entire sky trembled!
In the next instant, the ocean below roared violently.
Amid clouds of vapor and boiling waves, a massive chasm split the deep sea!
The water was held back, unable to fill the gap.
The ground beneath the ocean cracked, the fissures spreading deeper and farther.
In the sky, the countless puppets disintegrated into ash in the blink of an eye!
As they were destroyed, Kitagawa Minamoto's voice echoed through the Chakra link of the last remaining puppet, reaching the Third Elder's ears.
"I'm coming for you now, inferior being."
"And remember my name..."
"Ōtsutsuki Minamoto."
