Mancini's POV
"Twenty percent," I said without hesitation. "You'll control your men and territories, but I'll direct the flow. Twenty percent profit cut. No one else gets near that number."
He tilted his head. "Twenty percent? You're offering me scraps of an empire you don't even have yet."
I smiled faintly. "Scraps?" I placed my glass down. "When I take the arms, I'll be in control of every shipment from the docks to the border. The profits will triple. I have plans. You'll be sitting on more than any of the other men. You know it."
Dan didn't answer. He lit the lighter he'd been playing with and blew out the small flame. "You've thought this through," he said finally. "But tell me, why should I agree to this? You've got plans, sure. That's all I have heard since I got here. Plans plan plans. But plans alone don't win a war. Is the Dante boy still trying to go against you? What about the other families?"
