Marie's POV
I was scared shitless all through the time. Mancini was really going to do it if he wanted to. He was really going to bomb the whole building just because things didn't go the way he wanted. No one knew him like I did. They didn't understand.
I was a little bit relieved when he called his men back. But I noticed he was worried about Marcus finding the men there. There was something else apart from Mancini wanting to blow up things and shoot people, he was afraid of making a mistake. He liked to plan everything. He didn't want to be the one who would set off any war accidentally in the mafia because he was careless with his men.
I had missed the chance to be finally free from Mancini. But it was to save everyone again. I wonder why this kept happening to me.
When we finally stopped at home, he got out first and left me in the car. I came down and followed him slowly. My legs were shaking, but I didn't want him to see.
