Chapter 111 - Chapter 109: Control

It roared repeatedly like a demonic creature, its tentacles knocking back and forth, making crisp, teeth-grinding clicks like hitting dishes.

The twisted monster's attack finally stopped temporarily. It was trembling, from its body to its mutated limbs. It lowered its body and approached the blood dripping on the ground, sniffing them passionately. No matter what, it couldn't get enough and was intoxicated by it.

Crack, crack, crack!

It stretched out its tongue and kept licking the blood on the rocks, but it couldn't get satisfied no matter what. Under Su'er's stunned gaze, the twisted monster directly ate the bloody rocks without letting go.

His calf was uncontrollably tense, as if it would cramp in the next second. This too horrible scene made Su'er hold his breath.

Fear, the instinctive fear of alien things.

That pitiful bit of blood couldn't satisfy the monster at all. After gnawing away a layer of the rocks under it, its greedy eyes once again fell on Su'er and Think. It crouched slightly to accumulate strength and was about to pounce again.

He could not fall into the rhythm from just now. If he was attacked by the monster with such violent and intensive attacks again, he and Think would probably be chopped into pieces in a few seconds.

He raised his arm without hesitation. Before the twisted monster pounced again, Su'er cut his arm in advance. Blood was gushing, and a blood line was drawn in the air along his forward arm to cut the monster.

The blood line did not carry any power. Let alone cutting the monster in half, it was just like a soft caress applied to its body and bat head, but it had a visible effect.

The twisted monster suddenly stopped its pounce, raising its palms that supported its body and trying to touch the blood that had fallen on it but was now out of reach. It was anxious and irritable, just like a child who was noisy and begging for candy but got nothing. The monster jumped impatiently on the spot, and suddenly pressed its chest and abdomen to the ground. The four sharp spider limbs twisted upward strangely until it touched the blood.

It kept scratching, and the hard bristles on the limbs made a tearing sound when they touched the skin. It even tore its flesh off because of too much force, and the blood mixed with it fell into the mouth of the bat head—in fact, long before it was impatient to do it to itself, a lot of the blood that fell on its head had already flowed into its mouth under gravity.

Swallowing his saliva secretly, Su'er mustered the courage to suppress his instinctive discomfort and fear and approached the twisted monster. He did not choose to escape. He knew his physical limit very well. His blood was not endless. If he could not completely get rid of this monster while there was still a chance, then temporarily escaping would only be a slow suicide.

Keeping a very close distance, Su'er stopped, hesitating whether to feed a piece of his flesh into the monster's mouth in order to deepen the mysterious connection brought by this unknown magic, just like when facing Asano Shirasu.

He saw the liquid secreted from the mouth that was obviously poisonous corroding the rock. The dagger in his hand was already against the edge of the wound that had just been cut. Su'er's hand was shaking. He only needed to close his eyes and apply force to cut off the piece of flesh, but would it work? Is this little flesh enough? Does it need it? Or not?

It hurt so much that he almost couldn't hold the dagger. He could clearly see that his hand was shaking uncontrollably.

In front of him, the twisted monster transformed by the vampire had already devoured the blood that Su'er had thrown on its head, along with its own flesh, and was now greedily sweeping the ground where the blood was dripping, completely scraping off a layer.

In just a few seconds when Su'er hesitated, the monster had already swept away all the blood on the ground, and even crawled to Su'er's side along the source of the blood, greedily staring at the hand, the hand that was drooping and dripping blood from the fingers to the ground.

If the vampire was still rational, he would never ignore the warning signs in his heart and let his instincts take over, but at this moment, the monster had been completely overwhelmed by the instinctive greed and desire. It was fascinated and longed for this blood, this strange inspiration.

Licking, every time blood dripped from Su'er's fingers, the twisted monster would lick a layer of the ground filled with blood. No, this was not enough. Like a hungry child, it suddenly opened its mouth greedily, and three rows of fine and sharp teeth were directly exposed in the air, directly receiving the blood under Su'er's arm.

'No!'

Scared by the twisted monster's suddenly wide mouth, Su'er resisted like a conditioned reflex, trying to avoid this terrifying monster.

Don't kill me. I don't want to die.

However, his action seemed to be a signal.

Bang!

Almost at the moment when Su'er subconsciously stepped back, the twisted monster crushed the rock under its feet, and its whole body rushed directly to Think on the other side!

Sharp limbs, a thick tail—these weapons that can easily tear apart fragile flesh will touch Think's body in the blink of an eye!

"Stop!!!"

Not only did he shout in his heart, but Su'er raised his hands and roared loudly. Following his voice, the terrifying monster retracted its claws and brushed past Think. Those strange tentacles were shrinking back and forth, as if suppressing some impulse.

Panting quickly, Su'er gradually put down his outstretched arm and tried to bandage his wounds. The invisible feeling had told him what he had done wrong just now.

He didn't want to die or get hurt. The moment this thought passed, the twisted monster temporarily removed Su'er from its kill list. Then the nearest food was the delicious piece of meat less than a few meters away on the other side—the Elf that Su'er had just abandoned.

Yes, Su'er felt that vague feeling again, and he and the monster seemed to have an invisible connection in the air.

It was fragile, as if it would break at any second, yet it was established so easily—this monster had no defense or resistance at all, and it was even shouting and welcoming this connection.

Desire.
