"I made a mistake."
"Is it big?" Kayan asked, forwarding a cup of tea to his son.
Viraaj nod, taking the tea cup from his father.
Kayan took a sip from his cup "How much?"
"I got married." Viraaj confessed, making his father choke on tea.
Kayan started coughing and placed the tea cup down. Viraaj immediately stood up and went to his father. He started rubbing his back but recieved a good beating from his father.
"F-Father....I am sorry." He said inbetween his beating. "It all happened suddenly."
"What suddenly? And what sorry? You broke my dream of seeing you get married." Kayan finally stopped beating his son and sat down, holding his head.
Viraaj hesitantly took some steps towards his father and said "Father-"
"What?!" Kayan yelled.
"I love her."
"Who is she?"
Viraaj bited his lover lip, preparing himself to give his father a heart attack.
"T-The princess of....b-bayar."
Kayan looked at him with wide eyes and stood up "You really want to kill me or what?"
"I am sorry father. We love eachother but her family won't accept our love so we had to do it. She said she will kill herself if she can't marry me. I didn't know what to do so I married her."
"What?" The sudden voice of Viraaj's mother, Adhisha made them flinch on their place and she entered in the chamber and quickly closed the door.
"To whom? Whom did you married?" She asked to Viraaj.
"The princess of Bayar! Your son is married to the princess of Bayar without telling us, the kingdom that hate us." Kayan said, and looked away to control himself as his son's face is making him more angry.
Adhisha covered her mouth in shock and looked at Viraaj again. "You married her?"
Viraaj nod, still looking down.
She slapped his arm and started scolding him "Why didn't you tell us? At least you should have asked your father about it. If you love her, we would have get you two married after few years. What was the rush for?"
"Her family won't accept us. They won't let her marry me. And she said she will kill herself if I don't marry her. So I had to do it." Viraaj explained.
"Where is she now?" Kayan asked.
"In Bayar. With her family."
"Fine. We can't change what happened in past. Next time, bring her to Aaro. I want to meet her."
Viraaj smiled at his father that he finally accepted his marriage and wife. "Fine. She will be happy to meet you two."
"What?!" Irya asked with wide eyes and stood up.
Viraaj smiled at her and pulled her down to sit back. "Yes. My parents want to meet you."
"You told them about us?"
"Yes. And they don't have any problem. Father said he will talk to your parents and brother." Viraaj reassured.
She smiled at him and asked "Do you think your parents will like me?"
He smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear "They will. My mother will be so happy to have such a beautiful daughter-in-law."
She giggled and hugged his arm, resting her head on his shoulder.
"But how will I go to Aaro with you? My brother won't let me go anywhere. He always sends carriage to bring me back. And he won't let me go to my friend's house if I try to give him that excuse."
Viraaj sighed and looked forward "That's the problem." He smiled and looked at her mischievously "I have a plan."
She laughed to see his expression and asked "What?"
"Tell your brother that you will stay in academy for extra training. I heard that this time on holidays, academy will be open for those who want to do extra training. Give that excuse to your brother and about your teacher who love to keep an eye on you, don't say anything to them. I will send a carriage for you. Just pretend that the carriage is from your kingdom and leave your academy. Then we will go to my kingdom."
"Not bad." She said and kissed his cheek.
As they had planned, Irya sent the letter to her family that she will stay in academy for extra training but she left the academy and went to Bayar with the carriage that Viraaj sent for her. He met her at a distance and stepped inside the carriage as well.
"Your kingdom is beautiful." Irya said, looking out of the window of carriage. "Don't know why my brother don't like it."
"It's not the kingdom he looks down on." Viraaj said "It's the fortune of my kingdom. We can't compete with your kingdom in wealth. But we are working hard to increase our territory and wealth." She looked at him and he said reassuringly "Don't worry. Soon I will acquire as much wealth and property as your kingdom. And your brother won't be able to look down on us."
She smiled at him and again started looking outside.
They reached the palace and found Kayan and Adhisha waiting for them. The carriage entered inside the palace gate and stopped infront of palace door. They stepped down and Adhisha and Kayan walked towards them.
"Greetings your highness." Irya said.
"Greetings." Adhisha and Kayan replied.
Adhisha cupped Irya's face gently and said "You are so beautiful, daughter-in-law."
Irya smiled to hear her calling her daughter-in-law and looked at Viraaj.
He smiled back and Irya said to Adhisha "Thank you, m-mother-in-law."
Adhisha chuckled and hugged Irya.
Kayan cleared his throat to show his presence "I am here too. Don't you want to meet your father-in-law?" He asked to Irya.
She broke the hug and came infront of Kayan. She joined her hands and greeted him "Nice to meet you, your majesty."
Kayan cupped her face and kissed her forehead "Call me father."
She nod while trying to control her smile and Viraaj said. "Let's go inside. You must be tired."
She nod and went inside.
"Irya, I have prepared your chamber. It's beside Viraaj's chamber." Adhisha said.
Irya felt a little disappointed that she have to stay in another chamber. She wanted to stay with Viraaj but she just smiled in response.
While having lunch, Kayan asked to Irya "Does your parents know about you coming to Aaro?"
Irya and Viraaj looked at eachother and Viraaj answered.
"No, If she had told them they wouldn't have let her come. They don't even let her go to her friends house. She can't even go anywhere without her teachers. She can step outside the academy only if her teachers are with her."
"That's wrong." Adhisha said. "You can't go anywhere you want? It's like caging you."
Irya nod "I know. But I can't blame my brother for his over protective behaviour. Since childhood, I am the centre of attention. People always try to come close to me and my brother don't like it. Whenever I go out people stare at me and try to talk to me. Since I was five year old, my brother is receiving alot of marriage proposal for me-"
"What?!!!!" Viraaj yelled in shock and anger.
Irya giggled to see his reaction and replied "But my brother rejected them all. He didn't wanted me to get married soon. He wanted me get educated first."
"The only thing your brother did right." Viraaj said with a unpleasant expression.
