Chapter 10 - Arbiter ; Of ; Worlds

"Haaah."

Ryn sighed, finally breathing the fresh air of this world after years of being trapped in that hellhole, and honestly, he had lost count of how long he'd been stuck there without any hope of escape. But now, he had finally regained emotions and a physical body that he could actually use and control in this strange new world. He stretched his right arms in wide circles, moving them around and testing the joints while trying to assess how strong this body actually was, and well, to be completely honest, it needed some serious fine tuning to better fit his particular fighting style and preferences. And it would definitely be weird for him to live in this world without having proper emotions flowing through him, so he'd definitely have to fix that problem right away.

[Tuning body...]

A book appeared right in front of him with a red-cloth coated cover that looked both luxurious and minimalist at the same time, and well, red had always been his absolute favorite color anyway. As the seconds slowly passed by, the bones, the muscles, the blood vessels, and every single other organ in his body had completely been broken down and destroyed, leaving him lying flat on the filthy dirt ground beneath him. Huh, well, this whole process was definitely going to take a while to finish completely, since fine tuning always had its own annoying set of problems that came with it anyway.

[Body tuning complete.]

The book flipped to its next page with a soft rustling sound that echoed through the air around him. Then it flipped again to another page with the same gentle sound. [Inserting emotions.] He stared directly at the book, just waiting patiently for it to finally finish this whole complicated process while his brain felt like there were disgusting worms crawling around inside his skull, and it felt absolutely filthy and revolting, but he couldn't really do anything about it except wait.

[Complete.]

With this whole transformation, he had merely gained less than a tiny portion of his true power that he once possessed in his previous form. Don't worry, Ryn, he'd definitely handle this body with the utmost care and respect that it deserved. And please don't ask where the original Ryn actually was right now.

"Oh..?"

He muttered quietly under his breath while squinting his eyes to better see through the thick darkness that was hiding behind the tall trees in front of him. He had completely forgotten about this pathetic creature that was lurking around here! So this was the exact same monster that the original Ryn had so much trouble dealing with and fighting against..? It looked pretty weak and pathetic to him, but the original Ryn did manage to do quite a number on it during their previous battle. The ugly monster was just standing there in the shadows, staring directly at him with its disgusting, filthy, dangling eyes that hung loosely from their sockets.

—@#=*!*!%!?!?

(Translation: T-this human, he completely changed! He's much stronger!)

Oh right, he completely forgot that he still had his narration powers turned on and running in the background. Book Of Immortality, he needed it to limit his omniscience right away, since he'd feel really bad for all the innocent inhabitants of this world if he kept it at full power. [Producing Limitations...] [98% Deducted, 2% remaining.] [Limitations complete.] The monster took an instinctive step back away from him, looking at his figure with pure fear and terror in its eyes, knowing deep down that just one single hit from him would definitely mean its complete and utter end.

"2#)#/$(#_*$#)#)2=$!"

(Translation: human! I'll forfeit, we'll both get out of this unscathed.)

"How selfish. You hurt this delicate vessel of mine, and now, you want to be spared?"

"That's utterly pathetic, servant of NoujFarni, God of the Undead."

He effortlessly revealed the creature's deepest and most carefully guarded secret with a wide grin slowly appearing across his face, and it had been such a pretty long time since he'd actually set foot on real, God-made earth like this. The creature's left arm twitched slightly, which made it completely clear to him that this pathetic thing had very little time left before it would meet its doom.

"Don't worry, I'll let you witness the true power of the Arbiter himself, so you should be honored, you pathetic creature."

He smiled arrogantly with both hands casually tucked into his pockets, keeping his eyes focused directly on the trembling creature in front of him. When it heard those threatening words, it instantly turned its back toward him and started dashing away, desperately trying to flee from his sight as fast as its legs could carry it. Huh, were undead creatures really like this nowadays, so cowardly and weak? Back in his time, they used to be much more ruthless and aggressive in their attacks. Well, that definitely made things much easier for him to handle.

He extended his right arm forward, carefully aiming at the creature that was still trying to flee but was only managing to cover a very short distance with each step.

"Second Dimension of the Space-time Arts: Museum of Despair."

*BZZRRRRT!*

"..!"

"#$) $$*(-#($($(#! #) #) #)! ###@:&$$@!"

(Translation: WHERE AM I!?)

The creature fell hard on its back, filled with complete horror and panic as the surroundings around it completely changed and transformed, while its disgusting eyes were still hanging out from their eye sockets in the most revolting way possible. Out of all the 100 different dimensions that he had created and designed during his entire lifetime, this particular one was the second most brutal and terrifying. Here in this place, it was designed like a museum with walls that were painted in pure, blinding white that would drive anyone completely insane just by staying here for at least one full day. The paintings that were carefully arranged just to the left side of the long hallways were all portraits of the previous victims who had suffered in this museum, and to the right side were all the different scenarios of death and torture that would loop endlessly every single time a victim died.

Well, this was exactly what was about to happen to this pathetic life form that was cowering before him.

"So, are you ready?"

He crouched down slowly, positioning himself just in front of the terrified creature while staring into its eyes that were completely full of fear, just like an open book that was begging to be read and understood. He almost felt bad for what he was about to do. Just kidding! Did he really think he'd feel bad for this disgusting thing? Well, he'd rather french-kiss a slimy frog than spare this pathetic bitch from its well-deserved fate.

"KRUAOUGHAAAPPUIIOAU!!!"

"Tsk. I don't understand you, shut up."

He kicked it directly in the face using his right foot while keeping both hands still casually tucked into his pockets, since he couldn't afford to waste his hands on such a worthless creature like this. It rolled across the perfectly tiled floor of the museum with its plain, blinding white paint covering every surface around them. And when it finally managed to get back into a sitting position, it started panicking even more when it suddenly realized that its mouth had completely disappeared from existence, making it much more tolerable for him to deal with without having to listen to its annoying screams.

"Scenario 67, Diovolo's Loop."

He chanted the words calmly and confidently while the painting of a pink-haired man started floating through the air toward him, and he caught it easily with his right hand. Yes, this was indeed a Jojo reference from the anime JJBA, and well, the memories that belonged to the original Ryn definitely helped him remember that particular detail. And yes, he could control absolutely everything that happened inside his personal dimension, including breaking the fundamental rules of the universe itself whenever he felt like it. NoujFarni, don't worry, it would be your turn to face his wrath very soon.

As he raised the painting high up above his head, the creature desperately shook its head back and forth, trying its best to convince him to spare its miserable life, but he had already made his final decision to kill it, and going against his own thoughts would definitely ruin his dignity and reputation. He guessed that was just a personal rule that he had made for himself over the years.

*VWSHHK.*

As he slammed the painting down into the creature with tremendous force, it instantly disappeared from sight, getting sucked into the deadly scenario immediately without any delay or chance to escape.

With one swift, perfectly executed karate-chop motion, the space inside the museum cracked open like broken glass, creating and granting him a clear way to get out of his own dimension completely unscathed and unharmed. The exit looked exactly like a ripped piece of paper that was showing the normal world on the other side, and he stepped through it confidently.

"HAAAH! HELLO WORLD!"
