Chapter 204 - Chapter 204: Android 18 in Peril

Even with the enemy coalition getting their bearings back, the siblings did not flinch.

"Move. End it fast," 18 said coldly, and her hands bloomed with pink light.

In the Tournament of Power, infinite energy was almost a bug. Their blasts poured out from every angle, a curtain of fire no loose alliance could comfortably hold.

"Why are they still firing like that..."

Someone in the crowd cracked first and tumbled off the stage.

"Universe 10's Napapa has fallen from the arena and is disqualified," the Grand Priest announced, his voice rolling across the platform.

On the throne, the two Omni-Kings clapped and cheered. "So fun, so fun."

"No wonder it was Goku's idea, it is great."

They tapped their tablets in unison, and Napapa's portrait went gray.

On the floor, 17 and 18 kept the barrage rolling. Fireworks chased smoke across the tiles. Many fighters were pinned, some already tottering near the brink.

"Scatter for now."

Someone in the alliance shouted. They broke apart at once, bolting in all directions. Pressure dropped immediately.

"Let them go?"

17's eyes tracked a few backs, itching to finish. 18 shook her head. "Leave it."

She flashed away to rejoin Universe 7's main group. 17 followed a beat later.

"These two really are strong. If only they kept pushing and knocked everyone out," Beerus griped. At some point he had developed the habit of standing to watch, tail flicking.

"They have infinite energy, but their defenses are not exceptional, and they cannot sense ki the way Goku does," Whis said mildly. "A rear attack could catch them."

"Fine," Beerus muttered, and folded his arms.

Elsewhere, with no one eager to step up, Vincent roamed for opponents. Without noticing, he drifted toward the exact center of the arena.

A familiar figure sat there.

Red and black uniform. Legs crossed. Eyes closed.

Jiren.

Vincent did not take another step. A shadow blurred behind him and an arm locked around his neck, dragging him backward toward the edge.

"Haha, come down with me."

The attacker wore a single ponytail and a goblin's grin. The choke dug in like iron. Vincent drove an elbow back. The sound it made was metal on metal.

Hard shell.

Unknown ceiling, which meant no killing blows. If he misjudged and shattered this fighter, he would be erased. Real death.

He fed power in by degrees. The man's feet scraped lines across the tile as he backpedaled, slower and slower.

"Last one."

Vincent slammed the elbow again. The grip broke. The green-skinned, ponytailed fighter doubled over, arms wrapped around his gut.

Good thing I held back. Any harder and he would have come apart.

They were already at the edge. One more step, and it would have been a double ring out.

Vincent did not hesitate. His kick thudded into the man's chest.

The body flipped into space.

"Universe 4's Nink has fallen from the arena and is disqualified," the Grand Priest intoned.

Vincent looked up toward Universe 4's seats. Quitela, the yellow-furred rat god, was staring holes through him. White light flickered, and Nink reappeared on the stands.

"My bad," the big man said, scratching his head.

"Idiot. You just knocked yourself out," Quitela roared, throwing kicks and punches that did nothing to Nink's iron hide.

On the floor, 18 was cutting a line to Krillin when a green werewolf lunged from the side and clipped her with a kick.

"Universe 9?"

She braced, slid, and looked up.

The wolf shook his head, lip curling. "Not that trash. I am from mighty Universe 4."

"I do not care where you are from. Die, sneak attacker."

18 surged. A storm of pink blasts bloomed from her hands and fell like a meteor shower.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

The wolf's silhouette vanished inside the detonations. 18 closed the distance and whipped a kick across his skull.

Thud.

He skidded, twitched twice, and went still.

Too easy. 18 flicked a strand of hair back. "That it? I thought you would be tougher."

She reached for his tail to haul him out.

"It is time, Shosa," Quitela's voice cut across the din.

The "corpse" sprang up. Shosa's heel buried itself in 18's midriff and blasted her skyward. He grinned, hands already spitting purple ki orbs.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Each sphere detonated in midair. The chained blasts pushed her farther and farther from the stage. Through the glare, 18 forced her eyes open.

The arena was shrinking away.
